People eat the head of chicken. Even the head of monitor lizard. Aren't those gross? It's worthy of note that the extreme part of a rattle snake's tail is always excluded from the menu if it's to be consumed. Just trying to point your attention to the part of venomous snakes being poisonous when ingested.
