Hello Nairalanders,

I want to encourage you with Esther 6 vs 1-3. ''On that night the king could not sleep. And he gave orders to bring the book of memorable deeds, the chronicles, and they were read before the king.''.

I decree that a book of remembrance is opened upon our Canada visa applications this morning.

For each and every person who's timeline has elapsed and it seems that we have been forgotten, that the visa officers responsible for our applications will lose sleep until they have attended to and until our applications are favored, and our approvals are granted in the mighty name of Jesus.

vs 3, ''And the king said, “What honor or distinction has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?” The king’s young men who attended him said, “Nothing has been done for him.”

I decree that our applications right from this moment begin to receive priority and that the entire host of heaven begins to fast track it in the mighty name of Jesus.

Just as the King lost sleep until Mordecai was rewarded, as we have prayed, fasted, waited on God, I hereby decree by the power invested in me as a daughter of the most high God, that all the visa officers and staff responsible for all applications that have exceeded processing times begin to lose sleep until we are favored in the mighty name of Jesus. They will all not rest until they have done the will of God concerning our applications in Jesus name.

..... and the house shouts a thunderous AMEN!!!.

Have a miracle-filled week in Jesus name. Amen.

goingforward.

Amin!

Yes oh... I just picked it up now. You wouldn't believe that application was handled by Nairobi. I still can't believe that they approved my visa, this is just God's favor. The people are even so stingy with pgwp time. Infact visa started counting from October 11th day of approval and end Nov 30 next year. But I ma shine in canny, the time ain't a thing.
For September and October applicants, it appears that them Nairobi angels are handling your applications just pray for God's favor in the sight of the VO.

Frankrobbn, you're in my prayers.
I think I will send a cse to Lagos cause I am yet to get introduction letter.

Wow! Everything na G.O.D, keeping faith of a mustard seed that could move mountains.

I couldn't agree more. Very valid point bro. The GCMS file note is the officer's report on the conclusion of the application and actually not meant to be written as to the applicant. It is for their records and hence will be well detailed than the letter of refusal given to the applicant. Thankfully, applicants can access the GCMS note through the access of information act which eventually would help one prepare better and tackle reason(s) for a previous refusal.

The generic letter of refusal is vague and would not give the full underlying reasons for a refusal.

From an experience here:

Applicant was refused for 1.purpose of visit 2. Travel history 3.All reasons for insufficient funds.

GCMS note: PA had travel to Canada once for visit and overstayed by a single day( reason for purpose of visit and travel history), Source of funds not provided(reason for insufficient funds). The officer doubted the genuineness of funds available.

In this case above, one would think it's the program of study or question why travel history is ticked when there is extensive travel or that funds were not sufficient and would proceed to add more money to the account. The applicant could surmise these without the note and reapply and the application would have resulted to yet another refusal. The GCMS note helped. Reason for overstaying was explained and evidence was included. Business contract execution documents were also included to show how funds were gotten. Reapplication was approved. These and many more are some of the reasons the GCMS note is encouraged.

Thanks for shedding light on this

Dear Jeremy - I spoke to IRCC regarding your study permit application. Standard processing time is 14 weeks. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% can take longer or like yours, a lot longer.

The file is actively in progress. Biometrics have been received, medical passed and the support letter received from your university has been added to the application. Sorry, we do not have the authority to appeal to IRCC to expedite your application. Hope this information is helpful.

Sincerely,
Hon. Ralph Goodale
Office of the Hon. Ralph Goodale, MP

@Jnyuwa02 Just keep your fingers crossed. God is great and he will do it. You can only get an approval trust me! They ve got no option. And also pray more to possess your possession. This letter says a lot already. The heights that you destined for can only be delayed but it cannot be changed.

MP office said they don't have the authority Oda!

Go through all my post on NL, you won't find me insulting people neither will u see any of my posts where I've claimed to know what I do to know. I am. Not an expert on visa application related issues
The guy said he was denied visa before, he never said he was denied entry. These are two different things. And if you care to check visa application forms very well, they do ask if :
1. You have ever been denied visa before
2. If you have ever been denied entry before.

The above is clearly spelt out. And Apologies to you if you felt I misinformed the OP. I did not
however, if the applicant was asked if he has ever been denied visa OR entry, he'd have to give a honest answer. That's because of the "OR"
i hope that clears the issue bro

Well you need not see what I said as an insult to you cus it's not. That part of the application form is very dicey. Cus there is one about visa and admittance into Canada then another for other countries too, if one reads btw the lines then reasons if the later applies. Safest answer is YES then explain whatever the situation was. Either at POE or embassy. You ve just cleared the issue bro.

Hello people! Please i need assistance about an issue.
I went for my F1 student visa interview yesterday in Abuja; everything went well thanks to this forum.
The VO approved my visa and told me to have a nice study at the US. She handed me the white paper with the information on how to collect my passport and another small paper which stated congratulation on being approved F1 visa to US. The paper contained information on what to take along to the US when travelling.
To mt surprise, I checked my status and it has been showing administrative processing. Only for me to check it now and I saw REFUSED.
Please does anybody know what is wrong?
Thanks.

Heyaa sorry about that. Haaa that's a big deal oh. Don't know if you can appeal or not but you need to know the exact reasons for subsequent denial. Cus the white paper is 90% approval except if they noticed some discrepancies on your document during administrative processing which includes putting the counterfoil on your passport, they also put you in their database for admissibility to the US. Was your SOA or any other docs held from you So go back to the supposed visa pickup center and if negative go to the embassy and complain, open your mouth and claim your POSSESSION if you get the chance for a dialogue with any consular representative.

And also PRAY HARD, I mean seriously well, God can still overturn tables for you and it would be termed 'A GLITCH' make hin no be say those birdmen and birdwomen don hear the good news.

I'm certain 95% of those handed white paper got their visas on passport so why should your case be different.

"Visa Denial" is different from being "Denied Entry". If you were turned back at the point of entry, then you can click yes. But if it was only your visa application that was refused, I do not think that could count as being denied entry

Please do not give any wrong information on this thread. Oga biko, na God I use take beg you. Have you read that part of the form very well, it has a, b, c. (been rejected visa, or denied entry). Don't redefine it cus it is clear to understand. Once you paid for visa and went for interview at any country's embassy but you were denied! That part affects you and you expected to state it clearly even if you don't know the reasons behind your denial. They re waiting patiently for that part and VOs just need you to lie and bye bye to your application and visa fee. So state every country. Even for US visa once you lie, it is finished. Cus the can see everything on their screen especially for it's still the same passport no:.

I have seen a VOs screen from a movie before, my dears it is full and filled with information. Much more that that of a bank teller. A lot of your profile/information pops up once your passport no:. is entered on their systems.

You too could have ignored whatever he also said if you can't help but use those words of yours. Not to further flex some muscles. If it'd come to banters or trade of words now, this thread could loose it relevance. We should learn to use some euphemisms when correcting others here and simply not misbehave or misyarn under the veil of a digital room. It is well bro. You will definitely get your Uk visa cos the process is straight forward. Downside is there is no automatic staying back like you have in Canada except God gives you a job and the company decides to sponsor you.

But please let me appeal to you to reapply one more time for Canada. The same SOA you will use for Uk is the same account you will use for Canada. Most masters in Uk schools go for at least £9000 and maintenance funds of at least £ £9,125 (almost same amount you will use for Canada). I suggest you Defer your Canada Admision and also apply for Uk MSc (it is free). I did same thing.

All you will need do this time is do online for Canada so that your passport is still with you to enable you apply for Uk. You can apply for Uk about 3 weeks before resumption (you will do priority application). Even after paying your deposit fees to any Uk school you can collect your money back when your Canada visa is out.

Trust me, even though Canada visa process is tiring, I kid you not bro, The peace of mind you have knowing you can stay back to work is everything. Imagine staying in UK for 4 years and I still could not stay back? If I had done my BA in Canada, I am so sure I would have nearly gotten my PR by now.

My opinion is there is no point spending about 4m and above in any foreign country for studies and not stay back to get that foreign work experience.

Long story short, you can kill 2 birds with one stone. Think about it.

Your advise to him is lovely. But IMO, as suggested he should try Canada once again, (online route) this time and Ireland instead of the U.K. Better prospects of staying back to work after graduation. That's my own Plan C, only downside is you need to have your cash handy for this country.

Like others have said, I'll advise you to withdraw this email and send another one, devoid of unforgivable grammatical infelicities. You can blame the first one on auto-correct or anything else. If you allow this to go, you may even have unwittingly defended the Visa Officers' delay in issuing Visas to Nigerians as they will argue that many applicants do not meet the minimum English language requirements.

Nawa ohhh.
He only failed to review his writeup properly. Every letter, SOP, e.t.c is like a sculpture (work of art), a sculptor comes back to polish and shine it everyday not because it's not good enough, but simply cus it deserves to be super, so go through whatever over again to catch those words you improvised. We all make mistakes and there is an app called Grammarly, a free writing assistant you might find useful. Mind you no one here is bashing you for writing a letter riddled with grammatical errors but for putting it out like that you. Simply imploring you to do better cus of another time. This kind leaves a perception. No matter what.

Hello Nairalanders,

Also, how many month accommodation payment/booking does the embassy require in the application?

Please your response is highly appreciated.

Definitely you going to find an apartment outside, in the meantime you need to focus on your VISA first, while enroute your Canadian dream school admission is like 30% of the journey, the remaining 70% is for your visa. I never knew that myself, I initially thought in 2months I'm in Canada after getting my admission but now it's almost a year and I'm still here, despite no denial, bt still waiting on the lord to pick my call. Hopefully. So act fast read the thread very carefully from the beginning then ask questions. The questions above are about the last set of questions that those who have gotten a study visa do ask, and that's when those over there in Canada already schooling can answer or be of help.

Visa is the first thing you NEED.

Its a 50:50 chance or almost a 70:30(where 70 is the chances of refusal). as you have pointed out, they are more welcoming to younger aged for the level . You stand better chances in Ireland or UK

Please HOUSE do not discourage anyone going for studies cus of age. How old dem Canadian prime minister be sef 40 something abi? Isn't it. I don't believe the age factor clause atall, there are other extraneous factors in some applications that makes it seem like the age thing is a major downside. Do not generalize cus of what you think, he say, she say. Habaaa school isn't a must now, just a needed edge in life. What if you are a technical genius and now you think a university education is vital for your new projections. You ve only got to prove yourself, your intentions, ability to do well, finance and more. And IF you have been idle is what these westerners don't like, be it internship, volunteering, or apprenticeship they like it. My bro and sisters you are welcome to pool your case. In EE, don't they recognize diplomas or apprenticeship Yes they do. If we look at the criterions by which VOs judge who is deemed fit to enter their country, that's an endless mission for us. Even if you are close acquaintance to one, they won't still tell you the real deal. That's why you see someone with a seemingly good profile still get refusals time after time and someone with an application riddled with mistakes gets an approval so please don't discourage anyone. Anybody can become anything, it's whatever we choose to be and whichever we set our mind to be. If you are 50years old and you want to apply to a Bsc program in Canada please do, JUST PROVE YOURSELF. Do all aforementioned on this thread, package tight and you will get it, na determination and perseverance ohh, or go ask @galala123.

While I was at the Uni a 55years old man was determine to bagged an LLB from law department, old man came out in flying colors oh, while we small boys with fresh brains were there struggling.

Calculate the correlation between age and visa approval. If you contest this, either positive, negative, partial or linear and let me know.

Hellloooo everyone! I came across this forum while browsing through the internet for information about visa delays. Although it was months after I submitted, I thought I should share some information with you in hopes that some will be encouraged.

Online Application.

Applied- May 7th
Biometrics Done- May 11th
Medical Request- August 17th
Medical passed- August 23rd
Passport Request- September 18th (The passport request letter is dated September 17th. I sent an email to them in the morning of the 18th and received the passport request after their usual technical update).

*I did upfront medicals which I sent with my application. When I went back to the hospital to get another examination, I was told to send the upfront medical report to CIC as it’s valid for 1 year. I did that on the 20th of August.

*I’m 31 years and applied for a 2nd masters. My 1st masters was done in the UK which I completed in 2012.

*I mentioned nothing of home ties in my SOP as I knew nothing of its importance. I have 2 younger brothers in Canada, 1 currently on study permit and the other applied for work permit which he got on the same day I received my approval.

*I used an agent, I didn't know about this helpful forum until August. Plus the agent was extremely helpful and took a load off me while I worked on other things.

God is faithful in all situations. Despite the study gap, 2nd masters and age as some see it as a barrier, God came through for me. Matthew 19:26 and Luke 1:37. I’m sure this is a miracle!

I still had to submit the right documents though.

My Documents Submitted
• CIC Forms
• Police Clearance

Hey house,

Just to be sure. It seems the Police Character Certificate is not compulsory, as many people haven't been indicating it in their list of submitted items. Am I wrong to think so?

Well I don't know either to tell you it's compulsory or obligatory. But officially on CIC website it's listed in checklist as one of the documents you should submit. If you can, please do. A lot of countries request for it too, so the fact that excluding it has worked for others doesn't mean it would work for one.

Hard!!!

But most importantly that first year fund is crucial. Tuition and living cost. It's a new environment, but it's your determination that matters most.
