thanks for that post justkunmi.

You know when I hear people like under 18 talk it just makes you laugh. Am sure if you ask her why she was a Man
U fan in the first place, she wouldnt be able to give an intelligent answer. "Imagine she betrayed Man U becos she came to Nairaland and heard intelligent comments from some female arsenal fans". OMG! Is that a good enuff reason to be a football fan? You dont even know what it means to be a fan, if thats all it takes for you to change sides, you'd probably be a chealsea or liverpool fan by the time the next season starts on the 13th of August. Your posts show you know nothing about football or loyalty and fanclubs, it shows you aint as "intelligent" as you like to sound and I dont mean that as an insult, so I guess its good riddance, that youre not a Man U fan anymore!

When youre a Man U fan, youre Man U for Life! Through thick and thin, bad or good, rain or shine, thats Manchester for Life!

Religion / Re: Let's Share Our Testimonies Here by alheri(f): 9:25am On Jul 04, 2006
Well I have a testimony too! Last year in November my son jumped down from the balcony of my mums place in a bid to be BATMAN(thats his nickname). Well I would like to say here that to the glory of God, my son came out with only a few scratches. Even the doctor that performed the CT scan was amazed and he went back home with mumsie that day. I was in Lagos. This happened on a thursday and he went to school by Monday. I know and I believe in my heart that it was by the mercies of God that he is still alive and well today because some people just have a fall from just the steps of a house and break a neck, become retarded and even died. But God spared my son, with not even a broken bone and I give him all the praise!

PRAISE THE LORD!

WOW! Are you guys serious! I never saw the eck people as cultist oh! I just thot they were just another new "religion". Infact, I used to watch there hourly programme every sundays when I was in Abuja. I would just turn off the volume when they start humming that there HUE song cos I dont want to be possessed. But I never thot they were a cult cos I dont think they do thier things in secret.

@gem97, The white guy in the picture is someone they call the "mahanta" or something like that, he's the the founder of the group.

Thats good mamaput, dont try to make her stop using her left. The most you should do is help her learn how to also use her right hand so she would have an upper hand in life. I suspect my little daughter is left handed though its still too early to be sure. Am not gonna stop her from using her left hand(cos there are lfet handed people in both my husband and my own families) but I would make sure she can also use her right hand. You can never tell when it would come in handy.

MORE THAN ONE FRIENDshocked. Guess you're not the loyal type retro.

Another time in school we had this stingy friend who would eat everyone elses provision but would hide hers in her wardrobe and refuse to share. So once when we were all broke and short on provision and couldnt call home cos werent supposed to be broke yet, we decided to teach her a lesson. She had also be been claiming she was broke and had no provision so we figured that if we took her provision she couldnt complain.

So when she had gone off to campus to study, like three of us now went into her wardrobe. Come and see provisions!she had sprite, cornflakes, milk, TUC, ribena, all sorts. We were all very shocked cos we didnt imagine she had that much. So we took out the sprite (50cl bottle) drank the whole thing, replaced it with water and put it back in for her. We then took out the cornflakes and milk, eat the TUC biscuits and closed back her wardrobe. When she came back to the room, we brought out the cornflakes and milk and started eating in front of her. We even offered her some.

Well, by the time she realised her stuff was missing, she couldnt complain or ask us since she had said she didnt have any provisions before. We told her what we had done some years later and we all had a good laugh about it.
Religion / Re: What Did You Learn At Church Today? by alheri(f): 10:20am On Jun 21, 2006
Well recently my Pastor has been trying to make us understand the importance of PRAISE in our daily living as children of God. Praise keeps us in the presence of the Almighty at all times because God inhibits in the praises of His people. Prayer makes you operate in the realm of promises but praise keeps you in the presence of His pleasure and favour. Praise stirs God's pleasure, which attracts His favour. We are to cultivate a habit of praising God for even things we are yet to see in our lives. When our praise goes up, His favour comes down.

There is nothing we give God that is of higher value to Him than praise. WHY? Because God cannot praise himself. As christians we all know that God created us for His pleasure, to give Him praise.

OMG mamaput shocked! You're sooo naughty cheesy cheesy kissThat was funny as hell!

Oh well I've done alot of naughty things in the past. One day I was playing hide and seek with my sister and it was my turn to hide. So I hid behind the curtains and my sister couldnt find me, she had passed by a couple of times and didnt know i was there. Well, I got tired of waiting and decided that the next time she came around I was gonna jump out on her. So when I finally heard her coming, I squeezed my face, stuck out my tongue, fingers stretched out(you know like a real monster) and i jumped out on her her! Well lo and behold it was none other but my DAD(of blessed memory)! You should have seen the look on his face! He must have thot I was a little witch or something cos he kept away from me for the rest of the week!

@reba, whats getting you upset? No one here is speaking rubbish!
Shes not South-African, shes caucasian- South-African! She can never be a real South-African or African for that
matter, whether her greatest grandest father claims to be South-African!And it does matter whether you're Black or white in case you dont know, thats why blacks are refered to as African-americans and so on in the Americas and Europe!
Celebrities / Re: Charlize Theron Is The Best African Actress by alheri(f): 10:27am On Jun 01, 2006
thank you omogenikky! How can Charlize Theron be the best African Actress? Just cos she got a big break and has been able to penetrate into Hollywood doesnt make her the best African actress. Personally, I dont see anything African about her and I dont want to even go into it to avoid been called racist.

And who is Brumilda? Sounds like a perfume.

Genevive Nnaji is the Best African Actress!
Career / Re: Should 2'2s Go To Hell Because They Ain't 1st Class Or 2'1? by alheri(f): 10:02am On Jun 01, 2006
They funny part is that most of those with 2,1 are not even so smart! I once sat in on an interview panel. It was a telecommunications company recruiting for Client executives, I was helping with the sreening of candidates before they face the panel of Directors. There was a particular girl that came with a 2,1 cert and got the panel excited. When they asked her to name 5 countires in Asia, she was like canada, London, the interviwers then told her to stop and asked her if she knew where Asia was? Her answer- ASIA IS AN AFRICAN CONTINENT!I was shocked to my bone marrow! Believe me, all those who came for that interview with 2,1's were less impressive than those with 2,2's and 3rd class.

Most of them just studied to pass thier exams and learnt nothing in school. Some, especially the girls, got it through dubious means and have nothing upstairs to show for it.

Am not trying to say that all 2,1's are like that, but I believe companys should give everyone the benefit of an interview first as long as they graduated with honours.

TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Nigeria by alheri(f): 9:26am On Jun 01, 2006
@cabali, why are you taking this personal? LOL, I know for sure that thats not the real Katung, because he said it himself when he got into the house that he was just playing for the cameras. He came in woth a strategy, to play the game, to make sure he pushes out his percieved threats! He said it, not me. It was he who said, hate the player and not the game. He's only playing for the cameras! As far as am concerned, that aint the real him. First he came into the house and 3 weeks into the game he tells BB tha Ify is a good diversion and has made the house more bearable for him in this game, later he starts to cry that Ify is rubbing Mudiaga at his face. Now tell me, is that consistent behaviour? Which is he? The insensitive-shes just a diversion- or the emotional-am hurt shes throwing her boyfriend at my face- guy?

Either way, he's still paying and game and acting for the cameras!

@krysty, am so glad we can agree. I think you're a cool person!
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Nigeria by alheri(f): 9:50am On May 31, 2006
Francisca is gonna take that money, you guys just watch and see! She's more real and sincere to herself and others than katung would ever be. She has been herself and hasnt changed since the show started. Katung came in with the strategy, forgot his strategy along the way and when his emotions were toyed with he decided to go back to his strategy. Right now he's not even sure which way to go, to strastegise or to just be himself.

One thing I know for sure is we have never see the real Katung in the house cos he hasn been himself, he's only playing a game and acting for the cameras. With francisca, we've seen the REAL her. She has remained her unpolished, entertaining, free spirited, humble, nice and entertaining self! She deserves that money for been real and not the fake Katung!

Religion / Re: The 'Da Vinci Code' Movie by alheri(f): 10:47am On May 24, 2006
For me, the Da Vinci Code, Book and Movie should be a welcomed thingy for Christians around the world. WHY? Because it brings to fulfillment what the Bible said would happen. I really have no fears or misgivings about the Book and Movie, because even the Author of the Book stated in the prologue and every interview he has given in relation to the book that the book is FICTION!

The Bible says in Ps 2 VS 1 & 2, Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against his annointed, ,
This as far as am concerned is all part of the rage of the heathen to discredit the Divine nature of the Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. I am not moved by their rantings and No christian believer should be moved or upset either because that same messianic Psalm also said in verse 4 & 5, He that sitteth in the heavens shall Laugh, the Lord shall have then in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure,
We christians should know by now that we don't have to fight for our God, He fights for himself! The Da Vinci Code and other Books like itself are just ways the Heathen have chosen to show their rage against God and His anointed, which also include all true christians around the world. If you guys think such blasphemy will stop, am sorry to disappoint you because it will continue till the appointed time. So bask in the Glory that the scripture is been fulfilled!
TV/Movies / Re: Big Brother Nigeria by alheri(f): 10:28am On May 24, 2006
Well I find the jist about Ebuka and Helen hard to believe. How would Frank know? He just got out of the house on Sunday for Christs sakes! Also, we all saw Ebuka and Helen at the eviction show on Sunday, we also saw Maureen and Giddy. Now isnt it funny that Helen and Ebuka(who you say are now together) were sitting apart, while Maureen and Giddy who we all know had something going in the house but still say they're just friends but could move to something more were sitting together?

I know Helen and Frank are friends and she could have told him shes now with Ebuka, but we all know that guys always want to show off to everyone if they're into a girl. He wasnt even at her eviction for christ's sakes! And if Helen is the Hard babe she wanted us to believe she was from her stay in the house, she wouldnt date Ebuka after hearing he said he was attracted to her fine Body!

I sooooo rest my case on this issue!
