Events / Re: Budget For A Very Decent Wedding Ceremony by alheri(f): 1:46pm On Feb 15, 2006
Forgiven, youre asking the wrong question here. You cant really budget for a wedding in that sence, you just keep in mind how much youve got to spend and work towards it.
Islam for Muslims / Re: God and Allah: Are they the same? by alheri(f): 1:39pm On Feb 15, 2006
nuru:

Allah is the Creator of the Heavens and Earth and all in them. The Creator of Jesus and His Mother, and the Originator of Holy Spirit. To Allah belongs the most beautiful names. If in English it is God, or in Yoruba it is Olodumare, or in Igbo it is Chukwu, or in Hebrew it is Elli, all the names are that of Allah. Whoever you feel is the Most Excellent, is Allah, is Olodumare, is Chineke etc. Stop deceiving and confusing yourself. The question has a straightforward answer, i.e. if the Best Name in English language is God, and the Best Name in Arabic language is Allah, then Allah and God are the same. Just like Wa, So, Bia all mean the same thing.

In that sence yes, in Hausa language yes too (sometimes) but the Christian "GOD" and the muslim "GOD",Allah, are not the same!

I have also worked in a Glo shop before and Ive never come across that kind of message. Why not call CC and make a complaint about it?

Romance / Re: Proverbially Inquisitive Girlfriend! by alheri(f): 3:49pm On Feb 13, 2006
It maybe she doesnt really love you, but at the same time, it may be she does. Ive come to realize that a girl who always asks for things from her boyfriend may not neccessarily be materialistic. You see, we girls like to feel special and we sometimes feel that the only way we can be sure a guy likes us is when he gives us stuff. This happens mostly cos we want to show off to our friends what our BF has gotten for us. If she has friends who get lots of stuff/gifts from thier BF's, she would also want the same so she wont feel left out or unloved when her friends are talking. It might be she has a complex. I think you should sit her down and have a talk with her, explain to her how you feel about her demands and allow her to explain herself. Girls who ask for stuff most times just wnat to feel loved, girls who ask for money, are materialistic.
