Science/TechnologyInternet Fraud; Why We Take The Lead. by alienvirus(op): 7:46am On Feb 05, 2019
Listen carefully to movie actors. They use Nigerians as examples in Internet scam movies. It is not only Nigeria but Nigeria's case is well pronounced. Nigerians are masters in Internet romance, fake adverts, fraudulent email, phoney email addresses, email and Web hacks, network equipment hacks, spurious wealth and property claims oriented emails, to mention few. Type "internet fraud examples" on Google and go through the links that will come up.

You see, it has become a big shame to sensible Nigerians both home and abroad. Every Nigerian you meet on the street has the tendency to dupe you at every opportunity.

Have you wondered why every Internet fraud discussion must have Nigeria as example? It is a known fact that most of IP addresses traces, that involve in Internet fraud, are Nigerian. I have done it severally and that is the result. Unfortunately, our network provider will tell you to get police involved before they could give the user of the IP at that time.

You know why Yahoo boys and girls see Internet scam as legitimate business? You know how the students in Nigeria survive in their campuses?

When you compare what the other students all over the world produce and what we produce. You will begin to wonder why we will not be a laughing stock. Average Nigerian youth come together to strategise on fraud. We don't come together to discuss technological advancement, how to build a functioning satellites, travel to space, build superb military hardwares, develop great software. Or you don't think we should have Nigerian made Antivirus like Russian made Kaspersky? We have neglected a part of the holy book that says "... Help one another on good deeds and piety. Do not help one another on sin and aggression." Qur 5 v 2.

Nigerians survive and trend in fraud. It is a shame. Even those that should uphold the law aid and abet after being settled. Go to LASU, LASPOTECH, Unilag, UNICAL, UNIPORT, UNN, ABU, OAU etc and investigate the survival methods of the student. You will know we should take the lead in Internet scam negative glory.

There is no difference between Internet scammer and highway robbers. Let us encourage our children to desist from these activities. Monitor your children activities on the Internet. Most of them pretend to be good and manage in their respective schools. It is not about getting what the whites stole from our forefathers. Internet fraudsters know no nationale. They have duped other innocent Nigerians blind!

I was watching a Hollywood movie(Grand daddy daycare) and there was a scene were Nigeria was mentioned and I was not surprised that it involved internet scamming, and it took my mind to the movie gringo and one other movie which I watched last year where Nigeria was also mentioned for internet fraud.
The next thing that came to my mind was the bad name the comment from these movies had giving all Nigerians in general. Nigeria is now synonymous to internet fraud and these yahoo boys are spoiling business for well meaning Nigerians. I am not in support of internet fraud but Is it only Nigerians that do internet fraud?

PoliticsU.S. Imposes Visa Restrictions On Ghana by alienvirus(op): 8:39am On Feb 01, 2019
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States said on Thursday it was imposing visa restrictions on Ghana, accusing the African country of not cooperating in accepting its citizens ordered removed from the United States.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo "has ordered consular officers in Ghana to implement visa restrictions on certain categories of visa applicants," the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said in a statement.

"Without an appropriate response from Ghana, the scope of these sanctions may be expanded to a wider population," the statement said.

"Ghana has failed to live up to its obligations under international law to accept the return of its nationals ordered removed from the United States," said DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said.

"We hope the Ghanaian government will work with us to reconcile these deficiencies quickly," she said.

SportsAlmost 2,000 Nigerians Among Thousands Of World Cup Fans STILL IN RUSSIA by alienvirus(op): 3:12pm On Jan 31, 2019
Almost 2,000 Nigerian football fans who arrived in Russia for the FIFA 2018 World Cup are still in the country, making up the largest number of the more than 5,000 supporters who have remained illegally.

It was reported last week that 5,500 World Cup fans were still in Russia as of December 31 – the date on which the FAN ID system formally ended.

The system allowed fans with World Cup match tickets to enter Russia during the tournament without a visa, as long as they held a FAN ID document.

The scheme was deemed a success and extended so that FAN ID holders could continue to enter the country without a visa until the end of the year.

However, the Russian Interior Ministry reported last week that more than 12,000 fans had remained in Russia illegally beyond the deadline, a figure which has since been reduced to around 5,500.

he Interior Ministry press service provided RIA Novosti with a breakdown of those numbers on Thursday.

Nigerians make up the largest group still in Russia, with 1,863 citizens yet to have left. That’s followed by people from Vietnam (911) and Bangladesh (456) – neither of whom were playing at the 32-team tournament.

Senegal, who were playing in Russia but like Nigeria were knocked out at the group stage, have an estimated 253 citizens still in the country.

The Interior Ministry has said that work to expel those in the country illegally will continue, and is expected to be completed by the end of March.

Around 650,000 foreign fans visited Russia during the tournament, according to the ministry.

“In the main, they were all law-abiding and left the country in their own time,” migration department head Andrei Kayushin had said last week.

Some fans may well have been looking to continue the World Cup party, although others may have hoped to enter Russia before moving on elsewhere – including to the EU – AP reported. Others are said to have planned to file for asylum in Russia.

The World Cup in Russia was hailed as among the best ever, and was won by France, who beat Croatia 4-2 in the final at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on July 15.

Dear Gazzuzz and other gurus in the house.

Kindly advice if Toyota Avalon 2002 model is a good car in the aspect of fuel consumption, ruggedness, availability of spare parts, possibility of the parts being cheap and maintenance compared to Toyota Corolla 2000 model . I am thinking of buying a Nigerian used one.

Your advice and recommendation will help me in making my decision.

Thank you.
I use Avalon 2000 XLS. It is a very nice car without issues. Sound and solid. 7 months old (bought Tokunbo). I live in a new site but the road never had any impact. Good car.

Ghana is a good place to be.

I have been there several times. From Accra to Takoradi, Kumasi etc both by air and road. I always enjoyed the coastal regions, cape coast area down to mining sites.

Ghanaians love Nigerians. Forget about the online eediots that spill shitz here.

They are our good brothers.
