deshclones: You r d most unstable human being I have ever come across...speaking from all sides of the mouth...take a stand man...its either you are a tribalist or not..stop playing on our sensibilities...Am not, I have made it clear since day one. |
this is about your brothers shytting in canal and messing up the environment in ladipo. no one is talking about ibadan
I don't think these people have been to Ladipo ![]() |
ACM10: Is this how Fashola plans to get the Igbo votes in his presidential campaign? So he should allow the whole state to be dirty and in anarchy before he can get Igbo votes ? Is that the way you all reason ? Do you not know that sarifices have to be made to make a community better ? |
hey Alhj step aside abeg. which kin talk be dat? its time for igbo in west to watch its back
LOOOOOL, there are times I would join you and there are times you have to see reason with them as well. There is no point scattering everything here my brother. Lets explain to them, Ndigbo have a big heart and would understand if we explain to them. |
ACM10: If Yorubas cares so much about environmental degredation, then why is Ibadan so filthy? This is a sheer hypocrisy! Fashola is simply a tribalist. He had demonstrated such in the past by deporting Nigerians. Sadly, many Yorubas did not deem it necessary to condemn his action.Have you been to Ibadan lately ? Because I am there currently. Know what you post before posting rubbish |
Was it reported that those boys were brandishing weapons and protesting? So because Lagos state government labelled them Bakassi boys, they are now Bakassi boys. What have they done to those Fulani cattle rearers who move around openly with daggers, bows and arrows and actually put them to use. Let them touch those ones na and see if Lagos won't be a child's play compared to Plateau state. Just in case you don't know, in every market operated by the Igbos, there is always a security task force as well as other task forces. This set of people help in providing security in the market both in and out of business hours since Nigeria Police is useless in that regards. It's just like the street security teams which we have in almost every street in Lagos now.
joeyfire: This guy sef. Who tried to cause civil unrest. God dey look you oLook my brothers, I would not go down this tribal issue. Yorubas and Lagosians have NOTHING AGAINST IGBOS. What we type here on Nairaland stays on nairaland. Yorubas love igbos and have nothing against Ndigbos. Trying to bring an ethnic militant to fight your battle when we can discuss on a round table is just nonsensical and I am sure you would agree with me. |
When those markets were closed? Where the traders paraded and treated like common criminals? People should wake up and smell the coffee.
Were they OPC or Arewa shouting and carrying dangerous weapon all in the name of a closed market. So because of a closed market, you want Bakassi boys to cause civil unrest ? Yes true wake up and smell the coffee because Lagosians Yorubas would not allow petty tribal sentiment to happen because of a closed market. Again at the end of the day, everyone loses not only your so call igbos (they are mine as well) but also yorubas. So it is better we all ask for solutions rather than thinking of how to create civil unrest because of a closed market. |
LOL I am sorry if anyone feels they are being discriminated against but this topic is just plain stu.pid. Now OP and other myopic igbos on this site and all over answer these questions or forever remain silent 1. Why did Yorubas not complain when Fashola closed down Ketu market for weeks or are those Igbos as well ? 2. When mile 12 market which is basically Hausa market was closed, did Hauses whine the way you all are shouting ? 3. What would Fashola or any Lagosian (Yoruba/non yorubas) gain for the closure of Nigeria biggest automobile market ? Do you realise that Fashola and Lagos are losing money daily ? 4. Do you know the amount of cars that the Mechanics which are mostly yoruba, would be unable to repair, thus no money for them as well ? I just DISLIKE the way likes of the OP try to tarnish a man's imagine due to tribalism. Just because you are ethnocentric does not mean Lagosian are like that and certainly not fashola. Any right thinking Igbo man would ask questions for the closure rather than shouting tribalism as a form of blackman because that would not work and even if it works, it is your lost because daily Lagosians are been ethnically sensitized by you all shouting tribalism. TRUST ME WHEN I TELL YOU THIS. |
Omo tire thanks for educating these goons. Keep it up bro |
Afam4eva: Why did she have to pick that surname?I wonder why as well. ![]() |
LOL ![]() |
Lagos indigenes are MAJORITY MUSLIMS. That is the fact |
Intolerance to other human being is one of humanity greatest mistake. Mrs Ukpaka SHOULD KNOW THAT THIS IS THE WEST and in the west Christian, Muslims, Traditionalist etc are tolerant of each other. |
oyb: Biatch must have thought she was home in the east where hatred of Islam is a badge of honor to be worn proudly.thank you. |
I enjoyed every bit of this thread since 2 days ago. You all are amazing I never believe this Eze Ndigbo thing was taken very seriously by some Nwoke Igbo. That said, I think likes of Onlytruth and co should ponder on some of the words on this thread. Dayokanu made a very important statement which every umu igbo should look at. He said "Should Odumchi comments on issues such as yoruba people are bathing with Oily soup rather than How to make meaningful progress in Alaigbo" I guess it all has to do with priorities. From Odumchi post, he showed that he had bigger vision for Ndigbo, even greater than Mazi Onlytruth but as usual due to impatience and "gra gra" he was chased away. I guessed this was what Ifyalways saw, I mean seeing grown men claiming to represent an ethnic group acting so childish and it actually made her angry or maybe she just wanted to have fun. Now @ Odumchi, I nominate myself as the new Eze Ndigbo of Nairaland with Ogugua being my EzeNwanyi and Negro Ntns being my prime minister. I would also want likes of Ifyalways, Manny4life, Isale gan, Afam4eva, Berem and Onlytruth (spokesman) to be part of my team. The reason for this nomination is because in as much as others see me as bad, I actually started getting angry and felt a bit of pain on how online Igbos are acting. I believe I know what Ndigbo Nairaland want and I also know what the minorities want and can join them up properly if given the chance. |
^^^Can you tell me why anyone else besides Yorubas should be 'excited' about this project?
can you imagine such comment ? |
Now this is funny ![]() The best post so far and I want any intelligent person to understand this point here dayokanu: Below is Odumchis post on the politics section |
i just love dayokanu, he says it as it is ![]() |
kaeto: I believe most of you are still expection you junior waec results so you can move on to the senior secondary, fashola for president? When GMB made it clear just yesterday, he is running. The votes will split again between north and s/west. Mugus...I laugh when I read tribalist like you talk. That is why you would keep migrating to western Nigeria. Later you would shout "it is our investment". Whether you vote for Fashola or not, it is you choice. You are not doing anyone a favour. After all Awolowo was not the president due to tribalism but his effect even till date is felt acrcoss the west. Much so that likes of Ojukwu regretted. Again you are not doing anyone a favour. |
I remember how onlytruth and others shouting and call this a white elephant project years back. Now these so called lagosian aka westerners have once again proven them wrong. Awolowo God bless your memories would be happy to see swerners grow in civilization. |
danjohn: Fayemi na paper weight. We need to stop settling for "noncontroversial mediocre candidates." That has been the history of Nigeria from Shagari, to Obj, to Yaradua, to Goodluck. Think about it for one second. Nigeria always elects "noncontroversial mediocre candidates" for President. Fayemi may be better than his PDP predecessors but he is not on Fashola's level. Fashola's record as governor is more impressive than Fayemi's and I will not vote for Fayemi simply because he is a Christian. In fact, I would prefer to be at home on facebook and nairaland than vote for Fayemi if Fashola is alive. Despite the perceived drawbacks of a Muslim-Muslim ticket, I would encourage the leaders of the new opposition party to conduct scientific polling to determine if it is a real problem or just an excuse by some politicians to deny Fashola the chance of being on the ticket.good |
good name but Nigeria is NOT a republic A republic is a form of government in which the country is considered a "public matter", not the private concern or property of the rulers, and where offices of state are subsequently directly or indirectly elected or appointed rather than inherited. Now nigeria this is not like this |
Kindly read what Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu wrote about Chief Obafemi Awolowo in his book "Because I Am Involved" page 159- 160. In political terms, he would be considered an adversary of the igbos given the intense rivalry between him and Dr Nnamdi Azikwe. As a leader of the modern cast, he has left Nigeria standards which are indelible, standards beside which future aspirants to public leadership can be eternally measured. He was firm, articulate, painstaking, and uncompromising. He was, for a long time, the only Nigerian leader who enunciated principles and played down personalities. He was a brilliant political administrator and a most erudite teacher. He not only identified himself wholly with the aspirations of the Yoruba people of Nigeria but also he was able to convince the Yoruba people of Nigeria that he and only he epitomized the highest point of their political aspirations and consciousness. He was loved, he was feared but above all he belonged to the people he professed to lead. At his death I had the singular honour of proposing for him the epitaph that has endured – ‘he was the best President that Nigeria never had’. Many have wondered what I meant by this, but I believe the statement was clear. Nigeria would have benefited from his presidency because of his inate presidential qualities. Nigeria must continually regret that he never, for many reasons, had the opportunity to serve at the presidential level. Awo was a leader of great stature. He was a leader who was eminently successful. That he did not fulfill a presidential ambition cannot detract from his leadership, and us, poor us, who were not his people, must continue, to regret that our own leaders had not led us as he did his people or achieved for us as he did for his people. He perceived his job as leading his people and God his soul. He did a lot for them. Whenever he saw an opportunity for his people, he went for it. He had a dream for the Yorubas and was steadfast in the pursuit of that dream. He knew where he was going and took his people with him without deceit. That is why he will remain immortal in the area of his influence. |

Onlytruth: No, I only exposed your hypocrisy. All I said was that Nigeria is relatively stable and even growing economically. FACT.Kindly read what Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu wrote about Chief Obafemi Awolowo in his book "Because I Am Involved" page 159- 160. PointB: I think it is idiotic to ask people to leave their country rather than find a way to make it conducive for them. But I guess you really dont know that for obvious reason. When did Nigeria become YOUR COUNTRY ? Moreover I was refering to a region here not the whole country. |
i think you are projecting your fear in east and at the same time envying the religious balance in west. if all western governors are muslims, how does ithurt a yoruba man, woman or child? if it hurts an igbo person that the governor of lagos is muslim then this person is not the majority in lagos or in west. the voice of majority yoruba is content, so why has igbo carry this as a palaver on its head?
My point exactly. |
