Any well-informed Nigeria knows that Olisa is an Igbo name. Other versions are Oliseh, Olizeh-they all mean God.
Even my Ghanian friends here in the U.K got to know the appointment of this Igboman before me. If Ghanians can know that Olisa is an Igboman, how much more fellow Nigerians. Strange.

Moreover, Yorubas usually don't bear English first names especially not a name like "Anthony". In all my life, I've never come across a Yoruba "Anthony" before.

nerodenero: Let us be sincere here.The yorubas had over yrs been bittered at the way OBJ's administration had overlooked or failed to recognise MKO Abiola's contribution to democracy.For me,we might not be too happy with GEJ's administration or that he named UNILAG after him but I think this recognition is long overdue.
