Maybe you people need to grow up before claiming and miss claiming.

I have told you all that life does not start and end with yoruba and igbo people. There are others.

BlackPikiN: Are you daft? Me never see any one wey dey answer Obasi except Igbo people

OBASI NA PROPER IGBO NAME!
Again NOT IT IS NOT A PROPER IGBO NAME

at least not to others that are not as ignorant as you here
PoliticsRe: Victor Olisa: First Black Commander Of London Police by aljharem(m): 10:33pm On May 29, 2012
afam4eva: What does Olisa mean in Yoruba and Edo? At least it means God in Igbo.

And how come there's no prominent Edo or Yoruba person that bears that name. Is the name that unpopular? At least Olisa Adibua and Olisa Agbakoba bear the name.
I am not Ijebu so I can not tell you.

as for the Obasi yes it mean something in yoruba which is in reference to the king
PoliticsRe: Victor Olisa: First Black Commander Of London Police by aljharem(m): 10:27pm On May 29, 2012
Andre Uweh: Abasi is Ibibio while Obasi is Igbo. They mean the same thing-God.
Can you shut the mess up when the hell did Obasi become an Igbo name.

Obasi is also a Yoruba name, also used among Igala and Ebira

they might not mean the same thing but OBASI is a different meaning in yoruba.

so It is not only igbo ok

shymmex: But the guy isn't even Igbo, so, why call him what he is not??

He also referred to himself as a Nigerian - why can't we just let him be??
Point of correction, Nigerian born

He is no longer Nigerian not to talk of Igbo or Yoruba etc

I am sure if you trace his root, he has no connection with Igbo but of course like of Andre and other tribalistic goons here would claim him to be Igbo

Edo/Deltan bear Olisa

Also middle belters and Ijebus bear Olisa so all this claim is very funny. Shows high inferiority complex
PoliticsRe: Six New States Coming Soon - National Assembly by aljharem(m): 10:19pm On May 29, 2012
would like to see abia divided into two, Ngwa state and Aro state

then Anambra into Onistha state and Anambra state

Or

Imos state into Mbasi state and Imo

That way SE got there 7 states.
PoliticsRe: Victor Olisa: First Black Commander Of London Police by aljharem(m): 10:15pm On May 29, 2012
Andre Uweh: The problem with you is either your inability to travel outside the south west or inability to mix up with people who are only from the south west.
Any well-informed Nigeria knows that Olisa is an Igbo name. Other versions are Oliseh, Olizeh-they all mean God.
Even my Ghanian friends here in the U.K got to know the appointment of this Igboman before me. If Ghanians can know that Olisa is an Igboman, how much more fellow Nigerians. Strange.
Which means your ghanian friend is as ignorant as YOU !!! or da.ft undecided

So shut up
PoliticsRe: Victor Olisa: First Black Commander Of London Police by aljharem(m): 9:59pm On May 29, 2012
afam4eva: So, an Igbo person who understands Yoruba pretty well cannot publish a Yoruba riddle yet you have Igbos appearing in Yoruba movie. Moreover, Yorubas usually don't bear English first names especially not a name like "Anthony". In all my life, I've never come across a Yoruba "Anthony" before.
Yes they do bear English first name, mostly Ogun state people also kogi

Kwara and Kogi most bear Arabic names

Lagos most bear English surnames

Odenigbo Aroli: I think you are gravely wrong because yarubas are the alpha and omega of the black world and Igbos have no culture and are the scum of nigeria like you rightly said many times,so I dont see how you can love what you hate! ! Dude, you are ret..tarded!! Please we dont need you to like us,mumu!!

nerodenero: Let us be sincere here. The yorubas had over yrs been bittered at the way OBJ's administration had overlooked or failed to recognise MKO Abiola's contribution to democracy. For me,we might not be too happy with GEJ's administration or that he named UNILAG after him but I think this recognition is long overdue.
what !!!!

We are not even talking the implication in Nigeria alone but also outside Nigeria.

Can't we just leave it as University of Lagos ?

PoliticsRe: Jonathan's Plot To Disunite The Southwest by aljharem(m): 3:46pm On May 29, 2012
novaman: If Jonathan is truly in love with MKO and wish to honour him, maybe he should start with June 12; that was the day most Nigerians spilled blood in their quest for Democracy but the OBJ's democracy day of May 29 is only when he got into office through dubious means, what is wrong if GEJ change the democracy day to JUNE 12 in honour of MKO and simply reserve May 29 every 4 years as the day of swearing in of those who won elections
The best way to honour someone you love is to BUILD a monument or something at the capital city not renaming an iconic school which is known round the world.

It affects the students as well.

^^^^^^^

Very good that you are new, and your first post is tribalism against yoruba

LOL later some would wonder yorubas don't like the Igbos on Nairaland. While this is your answer.

You cannot hate the yorubas and expect undying love from us. In as much as we love Igbos very much, our love has it's limit if you keep huddling hate against us.

I hope I have made myself clear.
