And some that are mixed Yoruba-Benin like Usen, Ugbogui, Siluko and Uhen.

Yoruba is not even a people, the name "yoruba" is not even as old as the name "nigeria".
Please I gave you the feinition of the word "History", so stop using that word frivolously.
You really make me laugh when you claim: "As of today we are yorubas" . That is just like me claiming "As of today I am the last of the mohicans" or "as of today I am prince Efosa of Edinbourg".

For example the land of the Itsikeri doesn't even border the south-west. Historical documents show Lagos as being part of the Benin empire. The only thing all these ethnic groups have in common with the "yoruba" are Benin costums which those calling themselves "yoruba" took from the Benin Empire. Is it time yet for me to point out the fact that Edos have no difficulty understanding "yoruba" dialects, my mother doesn't have any difficulty speaking yoruba and she told me that yoruba is a mild corruption of Edo.

So basically, aljharem, unless someone claims the story which was told to you, you will not believe. A long time ago I showed you precolonial maps as proof and now you are hearing the King of Lagos giving his testimony and still you continue claiming your disproved story.

Perharp it is time for "yoruba" to stop claiming people of the ancient Benin empire. The "yoruba" have been trying to claim Benin City, but they were unsucessful, now they are going after the Edos in the Delta and elsewhere whose land was part of the Benin empire and whose people most likely migrated from Benin City. For your information, Itsekeri and Urhobos are Edo, they have nothing to do with "Yoruba".
I know you guys are making these claims because you want to lay claim to Niger Delta oil. But enough is enough.
What annoys me is that many Edos who just happen to speak yoruba dialects now think that they are yoruba.

Every ethnic group migrated from somewhere, itsekiri migrated from Yoruba, urhobo from edo, but that doesn't mean they don't own that land.

I have some ijaw who are ondo indigene. ijaw territory in edo and ondo is surrounded by itsekiri, ilaje and urhobo, how they intend carving those states out will be a big issue.

we will leave that for another day.

Its sickening on so many levels. That being said, we have to pray against these kinds of things. MOST men would tune off permanently from a wife (that they suffered and spent so much to legally and traditionally marry) getting raped in their presence. Whether they continue with the marriage or divorce the woman is irrelevant. Staying is even worse.

It destroys a man's psyche and emotional balance, probably far more than the woman's. This is not about fairness, empathy, logic, or rationality or whatever. Just forget it.

Again, this is not something to trivialise or joke about. We must pray to avoid this life altering situation.

Are u on drugs? There land is mixed with Ijaw still all the way in Ondo, Lagos upto Ghana.
