The cap you are talking about is not a Hausa cap. It's a cap worn across the North. In fact the best makers of that cap are found in Borno and not in Hausaland.

Another thing you may find difficult to comprehend is that for Muslims, faith brotherhood comes before ethnic brotherhood. Being too ethnocentric is frowned at in Islam.
