redsquare:1. When did I ever call myself an Hausa man ? I have called myself Yoruba, Nupe, Igbo, bini, ijaw and kanuri Never HAUSA so please don't refer to me as hausa. 2. The problem in Nigeria has nothing to do with ethnicity rather individuals. Instead of insulting and blaming the yorubas today and hausa tomorrow I rather you give a solution to corruption in Nigeria |
^^^ Make that Mr PROUD Ndigbo apologist fool!!! Never heard of the story you recount in your post above, but if true trust me i'll be the first to call for their heads. That's the difference between you and i: where there's any criminal behaviour going on, i'd call for the prosecution of the scum involved, not minding if they're from my ethnic group or not; whereas a complete dolt like you would rather bury your head in the sand and pretend nothing happened if the suspects happen to be from your ethnic stock. You disgust me to no end, and you can start any "thread within this thread" if that's what gives you a hard-on. Scum!!!
Proud Igbo you have not answered my question. How would your new country eradicate corruption ? any law this is not practice in Nigeri today I mean visible law not funny laws like we would kill them because you would not. |
ALJ HARAM.I WILL LIKE YOU TO SHUT THE bleep. HOW DARE YOU TELLING THE SS/SE NOT TO GO TO LAGOS IS IT BECAUSE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT USED THE MONEY FROM THE RESOURCES TO DEVELOP LAGOS AND ABUJA NOW THE ORIGINAL OWNERS OF THE RESOURCES ARE LEFT BEHIND IS THAT YOUR REASON TO REJOICE OR TO USE SUCH STATEMENT, NOW LAGOS AND ABUJA IS DEVELOPED THE OWNERS HAS SURFACED. IT WAS THIS TYPE OF STATEMENTS THAT PROVOKED THE NGER DELTA PEOPLE BY SO DOING WE HAVE MEND WHICH ALMOST LEAD TO ANOTHER CIVIL WAR IF THE SOUTH EAST HAVE JOINED THE MEND GROUP TO CLAMOR FOR RESOURCE CONTROL IT WOULD HAVE GONE BEYOND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONTROL BY SO DOING WAR MIGHT BROKE OUT . I WILL HUMBLY ADVICE YOU TO MIND THE STATEMENTS YOU USE BECAUSE IT IS VERY BITTER IN THE HEART OF MANY HOW SHELL AND CO IS BUSY DRILLING THE OIL AND THE MONEY IS BUSY DEVELOPING LAGOS AND ABUJA.
then why are you complaining. I NEVER ADDED SS to it because they don't post bull crap like you and others in this forum In fact the miniterial represnetative of Lagos is a SS man, and we have peri of Ajegunle, that shows the accommodiating nature of Lagos and Abuja Now my question is yorubas are cowards, How does that affect Nigeria or Igbos ? Yorubas are betrayers, then don't make deals with them Yorubas are tribalsitic then, don't go to Lagos or any Western state for commercial purposes or schooling since you know they are tribalsitic Abi, what is it self that u people keep looking for that you keep to blame a group for the Nation's woes ? Answer the question. |
The strict laws will not be lenient with them. Nothing compares to how your people have raped that country
Strict laws, LOL dude no kill pesin for herewhat strict laws would that be ? is the same "strict laws" not applied in Nigeria today ? and if not, maybe you can tell us about the strict laws that would stop corruption. |
^^^Its the spirit of Innocent nigerians that are murdered in the North that is disturbing your soul
Lets respect the dead. and may Allah bring those murderers to Justice. My point is why call yorubas the problem of Nigeria, I mean just stop engaging with them, then maybe you people would find peace. I am just saying |
From now on, and since its been proven time after time , no SW person should open their mouth and say Igbos are more corrupt than them or love money more than them. Kudos to GEJ.
when did they ever say Igbos were more corrupt than them ? Yes Igbo love money more than any other group and is part of Igbo man characteristics, or is this a bad thing ? |
^^^Honestly, if God could grant me one request now it would be for the South East (including Igbo parts of Delta and Rivers States) together with Cross Rivers and Akwa Ibom, break away from this cursed nation and form a loose confederation where each constituting part gets to keep 80% of its rescources/revenue, with just 20% going to a weak centre for Defence, Int'l Affairs, etc. A confederation where fairness, merit and the fear of God are the principle values/ethos on which the nation is built and every ethnic group has an equal 'vote' irrespective of population/size. When this nation is set up and running, then we can welcome new members on equal terms. I've had it with this country Nigeria: a place where some bastards see public office at the centre solely as a means to violation and plunder the commonwealth. They've been in and around the corridors of power since the late 60's and what do they have to show for being in control of the all powerful Federal Government since then?: Absolutley fuc*k-all , unless of course you're counting their ever burgeoning foreign bank accounts, and opulent palaces they've built for themselves and their families while the wretched poor all around them fester in their disease-ridden slums. You can see how they're now bitter and disgruntled that a 'bloody fisherman' apparently didn't read the script and now wants to put sand in their garri. May God punish all of them (including any Igbo collaborators involved over the years) responsible for putting us in this mess.
Proud Igbo, biko And with everything, you think, I mean you actually think that the same corruption problem facing Nigeria would not face YOUR new country ? Would people like Orji and co not follow into this new country ? lol, really people need to think deeper |
And you are expecting someone to respond to the rubbish you just wrote above? Honestly, you are so treacherous even more than the record holder Awo himself
![]() treachery coming from you I mean tell me, engage with me. I really want to know why you people are acting like an uneasy spirit . What is disturbing you people's soul ![]() |
Do you have any source to confirm the above assertions? Meanwhile, we are talking about Yorubas that are stealing directly from the country's coffers and impoverishin the masses. Now we know why you so much want the "One Nigeria"
Now the yorubas are the theives it is no long northerner smh |
redsquare: am so sorry but an Igbo man saying yorubas are the problem Ok yorubas are cowards, How does that affect Nigeria or Igbos ? Yorubas are betrayers, then don't make deals with them ![]() Yorubas are tribalsitic then, don't go to Lagos or any Western state for commercial purposes or schooling since you know they are tribalsitic Abi, what is it self that u people keep looking for that you keep to blame a group for the Nation's woes ? Today it is yorubas fault tomorrow it is hausa next it is fulani next month it is Ijaw. LOL funny from someone that has low self esteem |
Aigbofa:reallyy i don't see how this concern you. |
Onlytruth:Look i think it is everyones choice The oil subsidy benefit are majority yorubas as SO ? was the oil blocks not sold to them or were they given for free ? Is this not the same PDP government Yorubas were fighting against ? Or should I take your land just because you brought it in abuja and it so happens that it contains gold. You people and your tribalsitic views. Na wa o |
Onlytruth:To be frank Never in my life have I thought of Igbos as fooools. In fact we have a saying for smart people called "Igboman sense" I am sure you know of it, right I view them as one of the most intelligent Nigerians until I hit Nairaland with like of Nchara. Needless to say It has not changed my views of the wonderful Igbo people. Yes not other ethnic group has lost 30,000 in 6 months, It was indeed a sad and worrisome event that took place in Nigeria that time. In fact I admire the igbos for getting up after all that, that is the true Now my point here is that, you cannot keep blaming the north and west for every woe that happens in the country. It is not easy to forget I am not disputing that but blaming them only makes matter worse. Ojukwu was more or less an opportunist that saw all that and thought to himself to grab power. I mean why declear baifra immediatly You could as well have formed a militant group and protect your people insisted of declearly Baifra and taking the SS with him. Does that make sense. No History cannot vindicate Ojukwu at all for the lost of 3 million lifes from both Nigeria and Biafra. NO WAY nwanne The circumstances back then was that Ojukwu was YOUNG, about 36 or so and wanted to be the president after the death of Ironsi. I guess we can agree to disagree, Ojukwu is loved today not because of the civil war but desperation for an Icon. If a neutral ask you, that what was Ojukwu achievement for Igbos, what would be your answer ? that he protected Igbos from the pogroms in the north and ended up lossing 3 million ? let me remind you that before the war, the political class and economic class was situated in such a way that the yorubas and SS (apart from ibibios) were marginalised in all things from civil worker, oil, politics , military you name it. They were margianlsised that did not mean they should declear secession. So i don't still get this Ojukwu a hero thing. Maybe I would never get, because I have tried to put myself in your shoes and and don't still see the point. Maybe you can explain to me more. |
1luvkipsus:ali baba done enter kasala lol ![]() |
Ivynwa:I guess you don't know my position. Ok I would make it clear, The killing of any Nigerian be it igbo or yoruba is very bad and I DO NOT SUPPORT it in any form or way. Why do you think I would support any killing ? Ojukwu just took advantage of the situation in my own opinion by saying genocide which never occured. Ok do your maths, killing in the north 30,000 = war 3 million only for the cause to be lost again It is wrong. Trying to be sensitive here I hope the Igbo nation can forgive Nigerians and let us move on with Nigeria. I know majority of Igbos have moved on but some like Ezeuche (Bigot) still hold resentment for other Nigerian. Hope he can see reason. |
jmaine:OK. I don hear ![]() |
nanidee:As for you, I think you need to do more reseach on the so called first hand story In fact here is a man named Emeka discussing it to people like you https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-816676.0.html No one was perfect, from Bello, Zik , Awo etc you name it, NO ONE WAS AND IS perfect. People make mistakes due to Naivety, Lack of understanding of the suituation, Immaturity, etc but Ojukwu on the other hand took it to the next level. I am not here to change your mind on YOUR hero but I would like you to at least know the YOUR hero's mind set, his way of thinking and how he other non-probaifran viewed him Then put yourself in there shoes and look at it from their individual point of views. When you do that, then you MIGHT have a different prospective. Kay1kay1:The violence in the North was caused in sabon gari by Igbo traders back then. They were gloating on how they rule the country etc. This sparked up sentiment against them used by extremist they were easy targets. I am not justifing any killing but I just though I should let you know. The coup DID NOT CAUSE THE KILLING after the coup, the whole country was quite as it was seen as a military affire regardless of the ethnicity. |
Funkymallam:sorry for the lash out, I though you were complaining because he gave people 20,000 Naira jobs. Now I see your point. @ bolded, i agree we need verification so to be sure is not just another political stunt. these politicans self lol my brother, that youwin thing is paining me o . It would even pain me more if it was a scam. The youwin scheme showed that our government lack indept understanding of the masses phycology and how people are in desperate need for Proper jobs not hand outs. 50 billion Naira invested to Innoson cars or any other indigenous company would GO A LONNNGGGG WAY to reduce unemployment. Take a look at globacom, dangote, danjuma groups, coscharis, etc All these are indigenous companies nd have employed thousands of young graduates, I bet the same could be done to other indigenous companies. All in all, it is already done, all we can do now is to hope he works. |
I am done here. I think it is time people stop decieving themselves and think outside independently. |
EzeUche:Great injustice you say ? There is not greater injustice than Ojukwu wasting 3 million lives and coming back to contest as president from the same Country he wasted 3 million lives on. That to me is the greatest INSULT OJUKWU gave to your family and those pro-baifran. or am i saying rubbish ? |
nanidee:finally I have waited for you to display ur lack of knowledge 1. Food sent to baifra from Lagos was used by Ojukwu to feed his army insisted of the people of which Ojukwu. 2. Yes Nigeria army had a lot of advantage but Ojukwu could still have won if he was not arrogant. In fact where did you get that from that the brittish was sending Nigeria weapons A lot of lies have be feed to you my sister. In fact Ojukwu God bless his soul said I quote " After the war, then the propaganda war started" that is where you people are getting this fake propaganda from |
buzugee:+10 his generals in the baifra army not making arrogant statments like "I am not talking from the position of an under dog but position of power" WTF. |
nanidee:did you understand the story ? what do you understand about Nigerian politics and the politics back then ? If you are well knowledgeable of the politics back then and aware of Nigerian politics, then you would not be posting that "he had no choice" What do you know of aburi meeting ? Do you even know and understand Ojukwu himself ? I mean did you understand Ojukwu's idealogy back then and how it changed before his departure ? Abeg stop posting on things you are not knowledgeable about BUZUGEE was absolutely right when he describe it as an "ego fight" |
jmaine:nope but i know those that applied btw, if the process is still going on with postponements, then who are we to make fun of a 20,000 naira job ? A bird in hand is way better than 10 birds in the bush. I am sure you know what am talking about ![]() |
TRUTHTELA:You see, Ojukwu was a funny character. It all depends on how you look at him Looking at him from your lens, You might argue that Ojukwu was a Brave soilder that wanted to correct some wrongs according to common sense right ! Again looking at it from another point of view, you would perceive a totally different charcater. Maybe he fought for a genuine cause, maybe not. We can never tell, but the did is done What I am trying to say is that all in all, we can move forward, it remains like of OBJ, ciroma, to go. BTW, what do you think of the current job scheme the FG is telling us they are going to do ? |
TRUTHTELA:thank you. Not to lie to you, I am someone that studies people and there sort of ideology based on there views. I am an awoist and I strongly believe in his idealogy and policies this you may not subscribe to. If awoism is employed in Nigeria TODAY as we speak, the problem plaguing this country would be reduced by more than 90%. Awolowo never believe in this igbo yoruba crap but wanted people in there respective region to do their thing. It is a shame that people don't see this. Ojukwu on the other hand saw nothing to be honest. Ok I don't want to make you angry or disappoint you but Ojukwu was more or less a naive solider that wanted power. Yes he protected his people against the so called pogram but at what cost 2 million lives while he remained alive. Come on. that was not go enough only for him to want to contest as the president few years down the line. Haba who does that. I read on Okpara a bit and he seems to be more befitted than Ojukwu in all ramifications. Even Orji Kalu. Ojukwu even created more enemies than friends based on his views. I have read loads of books, watch Interviews on Ojukwu, Awolowo, Nnamdi, Effiong. you name it. I have seen it all. I know this people's views based on those interviews and I can see where they were coming from. What I could get was that Ojukwu just wanted power and he wanted it at all cost. He over estimated his ablity and the ability of his people who look on to him. He ignored his generals advice and became more or less a dicator in his approach which actual SHOWS us what he was fighting for. I am sorry again but if you do not mind, I would like to compare him to Saro wiwa. Saro wiwa did not fight a war but his movement is still well recognised and lastly HE DIED FOR WHAT HE BELIEVED IN. |
Ibime:Thank you my Ijaw brother. That is what I saw in awolowo as well. Only someone with low IQ would think he was a bigot. A man that even the so call igbo haters benefited from his policies. I weep for ingrates |
Ngodigha1:Dude a neutral would think u are a ret.ard for that statement. i am sorry but I must say it the way it is Comparing Awolowo with Orji. |
Ngodigha1:LOL o boyI told you why Ojukwu would be insulted on Nairaland, You insulted Awolowo since last year and people keep shut only for Ojukwu to go as well and you expect those that have been swallowing the insult not to post back ? As I said, all that is happening now is the talk back time, it would fade away like everyother. Leave DK to me. |
PointB:Aint you or am i lying ? |
Funkymallam:DUDDDDEEEEE haba how can you say that Where you not here when FG started YOUWIN. How much jobs or money has that given the youths of Nigeria ? do you care to answer YOUWIN was a 50 billion Naira project by the FG to provide Jobs for the Youths of this country. How many jobs as that provide, they keep extending the deadline etc, why the original dead line was 20 November today is 2nd of december, still no one on Nairaland has gotten a call be or reply. So this compare to that is a case of "half a bread is better than none" This is the half bread. 20,000 naira is better than 0 naira and promises. |

, unless of course you're counting their ever burgeoning foreign bank accounts, and opulent palaces they've built for themselves and their families while the wretched poor all around them fester in their disease-ridden slums.
