This is very serious. Its time nigeria conducted referendum for the former biafra. A population of over 45m working against a country of 160m cannot augur well for development. Former Yugoslavia is a success story today due to the fragmented countries our of it. Nigeria will definitely implode if peaceful cohabitation is not achieved very soon.

Nnamdijonathan God bless you,this piece of information is worth a million $s. Let's have open mind about this issue and read widely. The precolonial history recorded by explorers was without biase . There are so many similarities between jewish and igbo culture. The fact that the tradition was in practice before the coming explorers spoke volumes. I'm still on the fence but there are strong evidences not obtainable among other tribes in Nigeria.

Ckenneths thanks a million for the updates on Agbor. Somebody was giving us hope towards Christmas but here you are feeding us with cute pictures already. I had been to places but Agbor still has the greatest surprise to me giving the almost 30years I had looked at it as inconsequential village not knowing it's a bustling city. We really need to start internal tourism to actually discover what we have, how far we have gone and the enormous potentials in Igbo land. I even took a bike to Owa the home town of the governor Ifeanyichukwu Okowa (son of Owa) and other communities while my car was being fixed ,it was humbling .This is a chance the governor has to develope all the towns as one entity ,provide infrastructure and bring investors for employment opportunities as this opportunity may not come in this generation again.
Thanks to op for creating this thread as this is impacting positively on Igbo renaissance. No time is better than now. Post colonial Igbo successes in all spheres are back after the war setback, not only that other Nigerians are observing, the world is taking note. Let's imbibe humility, hard work ,excellence, diligence, smartness and lookout for one another - the foremost Igbo philosophy - Onye aghana nwanne ya.

Igbo have strong family bond of proper marriage. Babies born outside marriage are not cheery news in Igbo cultural and marriage setting. Better find your way on time because you are on your own.

I had been passing through Agbor expressway to and fro Lagos in the past 25yrs without stepping into Agbor until my car broke down recently. Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! What I always thought was a chaotic hamlet from the highway is a well planned, organized and clean thriving town with a lot of institutions , government agencies and opportunities . This is a hidden jewel millions of passersby never knew exists. I was blown away by Agbor to say the least. In fact, i later became happy I had the issue because I had a plesant unprepared tourism. The mechanics fixing my car and other workshops i went all spoke intelligible igbo and are even passionate about biafra issue. Even the church I worshipped on Sunday sang igbo Christian songs and preaching in Engligbo.I hired a bike and toured the town extensively. The people are nice ,well behaved and laidback in a pleasant way. I really felt at home and since that time, anytime i drive through the express, the memories floor back.So when next you're travelling, spare 20 minutes in Agbor and you will thank me for a plesant discovery. Can anybody post pictures of Agbor because Agbor is Igbo land too.

Wonders shall never end. Op is so happy that apc has taken over sw and at what cost? Poverty has really taken its toll in the sw more than ever before and the region is plunged into huge debts. As educated as he is,he doesn't know that voting in quality individuals via various parties is very much better than this cult like apc criminally and religiously inclined party. As for the hope the region's presidency, it's a wishful thought as apc will have gone into oblivion by 2023 due to buhari expected poor performance.

Given the setback Igbo suffered during
and after the war, it can be said that they have bounced back to reckoning and are doing well in education, entrepreneurship, entertainment, sports,manufacturing etc to the chagrin of nay Sayers not even in Nigeria but also on global stage. With this positive outlook, those Igbo on the fringes will no sooner than later rush back to embrace their igboness. Let's keep open mind about it as time shall tell.

I can never forget some years back in Amsterdam a man was acknowledging cheers from few people and some others felt unconcerned in a farmer's market and out of curiosity I asked one farmer who was the man,he said he is the prime minister. Honestly i didt see security men around.it was then occurred to me that leadership is service not avenue to emasse wealth and ride on the citizenry.
