Inflation needs to be strategically checked while ensuring that producing/manufacturing sector is offered enabling environment to thrive in. But if it's still the same oil projection-based budget that is expected to run this, it will be catastrophic. For me, salary increment is not the solution.

I reside in PH and not abroad. In fact the cost of PGS & IVF has gone down now. There are clinics like Nordica, Bridge and the rest in Nigeria that can comfortably carry out the procedure with their foreign partners. it is doable. I married my wife with my last N1m in my account and I knew that we were not compatible because of our genotype. I love her and was able to do it because we did not tell anyone except my mother-in-law who supported us. Till today, we have not done white wedding as most churches refused wedding us. I told my wife to follow me that God will see us through. Today, I have tens of millions within 2 years of marriage and my healthy triplets are on the way. Maybe, after delivery we will go back and see if churches will wed us.

You need to examine the footage or find out more from other sources. He was not forced to sit on the ground. The guy resisted arrest and sitting on the ground was his choice, I guess hes trying to garner public sympathy

The probability that they will give birth to a sickler is just 25% which is still low to me although the risks increases if they continue to bear children overtime without limitation.

My advice to the couple is to limit the number of their children to just one or two at most.

Even if they did not plan to have more than 2 as you suggested and the first one that dropped is an SS, wetin go happen. Limitation is not the solution for me since no guarantee that the child in question will come as a first, second or third child.

There is a procedure called PGS ( Pre-Implantation Genetic Screening) to be followed by IVF ( In vitro fertilisation), It could be done in Nigeria with a cost of N5m maximum; though we did ours in Eastern Europe and presently my wife is in her 7th month of pregnancy ( 1AS Boy, 1AA Girl & 1AABoy)

Alternatively, if trhe girl is below 28 years they could go for a procedure called CVS( chorionic villus sampling) or another one called 'amniocentesis' to determine the genotype of the foetus within 12 weeks and a D&C could be carried out if unfavourable.

But from you little narration about your brother i believe the 3rd option immoral to his belief, he will also be nonchalant about the second option since he is that way toward the genotype thing in the first place. And i believe the last option will be a wrong one for him too since he cares so much about where his mates are that he isnt, its easy to conclude he will believe his mate have children of their own therefore he wants one of his own too.

how did they do it, they use medical method according to them to verify the genotype of the baby in the pregnancy, when the pregnancy is still in the period of possible abortion, I don't know how true is that. once is ss, they abort the pregnancy and sleep for another one

Now the serious problem is both of them are genotype AS, but my brother does not care, he still wants to go ahead with the marriage. He is saying he has faith and hope in God that nothing will happen. even my parents are not helping matters, my parents are strong church elders and they are even saying my brother should pray that God can change things.

I am so pained with my parents stand on this issue knowing the severe consequence that follows. i was hoping they would outrightly dissolve the relationship but no they are hoping on God. I have an uncle (mid 70s now) who got married to an AS genotype woman years before i was born. They had 4 children. 3 SS and 1 AS. The only child with As genotype was their 3rd child. I guess they were so much in love and they never considered the kids their incompatibility was bringing into this world. Right before their very eyes, the 3 SS died ( the one that died the youngest out of the 3 was about 13yrs so you can imagine how much they must have spent in times of crises, not to talk of the pains/agony of the kids and mental torture on their own parts as parents.) After several years of spending heavily on them and witnessing their burials, they had to separate.
Scientists would tell you there's a chance, yes there is truly but can they tell you if it would be the 1st, 2nd, 3rd , or two out of three kids. Look here bro, I had a lady many years ago while in the Uni. She was damn pretty and we loved ourselves so much. i am a very highly emotional person but today I thank God I let go of her, one of the things I'm grateful for in my dad who pleaded in tears that I should end it. It was painful bro but today when i see kids suffering from this frequent illness because it won't just come and go, I thank God for myself, not to mention the anger I feel within me directed at the parents who placed their emotions above the well-being of their future kids.
Just like I said earlier, tell your bro to make his choice, no one can choose for him. I bet it with you, if he has millions in his accounts, except God ordains him to own multiple houses and other luxuries, he'd end up buying the lands and building the houses in his imagination because SS crises would gulp it all.

Well... you may be right by your assertion. But reports coming in indicates that he's being brought in for questioning ...only that the guy resisted the arrest. Again, i do not think special status applies to members of the legislature. Forgive me, are they not the ones making the law. And if i remembered correctly, it is widely established that NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW. A lot of guys with no connections are being arrested and paraded for crimes committed. You have met the guy once, I haven't but can you rightly say that his behaviour in time past right from his days in the lower chamber befits one that could be shown sympathy. Have they ever been concerned with how many whose status'are below theirs are being treated, or have they ever been sympathetic to the plight of the ordinary man.
I'm not taking sides here, but as a law maker, if you are indeed on the right path of the law, coupled with the support of the masses who believe in you, there is little that a whole battalion can do to you; if you are indeed a man of honour.

If the girl is pursuing a case against the prof, the case against the prof can not be heard if she refuses to come forward. Unfortunately, prof's offense is not just against the girl. According tio the audio, only 5 students failed. The lady in question scored 33. Simple. with that,her identity could be revealed and she'd be summoned.
My guess is that some people must have advised her not to pursue further or perhaps, she's being threatened.

I'm a student in my early twenties, I come from a poor family, which even makes my matters worse, but somehow, I've been able to get my alone time.

Last week(Friday 9th), my mum called me from school to come sell 16 packs of bottled coke at a Jamb accredited center.

As Jamb starts the following day, I was told to sell it to the jambites. That's not even the problem

The real problem is this; the mini market I was to sell the drinks, 6 other certified market women were already there. I mean women who would be shouting all day long just to sell their markets too, you name them, they have it all.

For the first time, I was open to lots of people. Unfortunately for me, I have a very low voice, so I really can't shout.



On Saturday, I was just too shy, too introverted, I sold very little, I was frustrated. The other women were shouting, calling customers, I was just praying for the time to move swiftly.

If I continue to market my drinks like an introvert, I'd never sell anything, so I decided to think like an introvert and act like an extrovert, lol

By thinking like an introvert, I will be reading body languages or everyone, believing that I'm better than the rest of them, thinking this is just temporary..... and by acting like an extrovert, I would shout too, run to customers, ask them if they wanna buy drinks...

Fastforward to monday, we were like 8 in number selling the same thing. I myself could not believe I too can be running to people who looked at me, asking them if they wanna buy drinks. I never thought I would be able to behave like a complete extrovert, by wednesday(2 days later), I had sold all the packs of bottled coke given to me

Now the thing is, introversion is the best personality one can have....
Here are reasons
1. You're a gentleman, you don't live a rough life
2. You're a pro in anything you do. Its inborn. If an introvert loves doing something and passionate about it, he is gonna excel outstandingly.
3. There are lots of perks being an introvert, I can't name them all here

There are two things here. One is you being yourself, and the other, you trying to be who you are not. You are trying to achieve something here, but it's different because you are being forced to assume a personality that is totally different from who you are. You are not alone. But you should like it. I wouldn't know if mine is natural but I'd say my mother's strictness didn't allow me to make friends while growing up and i was not allowed to visit friends, neither was anyone allowed to visit me. It continued up to the point that i began to appreciate being alone. I do feel uncomfortable being in public gatherings. At a point in my teenage years, my mum, the same mum started mounting pressure on me to start going out, to  ix and make friends but it was already too late. I'd say that aspect of my nature made me a writer. And it earned me my first & second job. To cut my long story short, I want to say this, Appreciate that side of you. Its wonderful. Let people see you as being odd, its their cup of tea. The funny thing is They see you as being ABNORMAL, yes, i guess they are right. You are ABNORMAL in an ABNORMAL WORLD. Minus multiplied by minus gives you plus, So you are normal.
