Don’t be in a haste to conclude. Not denying the possibility though, but you could be wrong. There are a million ways or reasons for the cash being there at that point. What if it’s not hers and could be a family arrangement, meant for something specific. Mind you, she has every right to save or keep her money in there. You are at liberty to feel bad about the revelation but talking to her about it might get her to clear your doubt. Her reason for not discussing the origin and presence of the said amount is what you should inquire rather than jump to conclusion. The money doesn’t have to be from a sugar daddy or a proceed of prostitution as alleged by some up there. I have an old class mate during Uni days whose dad discreetly kept a part of his gratuity with her for a specific purpose. Let’s imagine this deal was strictly between her and the dad, the spouse, unaware, might be forced to give room for ugly thoughts. Talk to her first. Let her explain herself. Even in a law court, an accused is afforded a right to be heard. |
sirjamesjnr:I understand but could you at least consider my advice. All these offensive posts won’t help anyone. This is just my take. Will try not to say anything further sir. |
Lonelypacifist6:My broda, abeg nah. Try free the babe and em guy. Pls. |
sirjamesjnr:Why don’t you ignore. You have done well to fight for your woman, as every man should. It’ll do you well to turn a blind eye. What matters is what you two share and the respect you have for each other. |
Yankee101:Exactly my thought. |
The5DME:Does considering her to be likable mean I was gonna ask her to marry me? In case you are her hubby, just chill. She’s safe, at least from me. |
Misplaced priority if it’s truly mandatory. |
Mogadishuu:Cruel thing to do bro! Body shaming a fellow human isn’t right. You could have just read through and move on. Making toxic comments is unhealthy. My apologies if you feel offended. My piece was born out of concern and the need to draw your attention to what you wrote up there. |
truthsayer009:As to the first date question, if she said YES, does that mean the coast is clear? Remember say 15k/month job na still job o. ![]() |
A tribe determining the fate of a nation of 200M+ people! Pathetic. |
AutoChick4U:You are also right by that. What if one dolphin comes along? It’s not an impossibility you know. That’s where her calmness and wisdom is required. Remember I said we are also responsible for our actions. Warm regards. |
AutoChick4U:It’s good that you said most, not all. Try to understand that unpalatable relationship experiences aren’t limited to online forums like NL. They can occur in any circle and in different form. It’s critical to note that sometimes, we also need to take responsibility for our actions. Meeting someone offline, and even doing the needful is never a 100% assurance that things would end well. Our actions too can cause mishaps. As a single mum, who knows, this same platform might just be the one that would change your story. |
SeaTrade:That bolded part cracked me up ![]() Could it be that the unhealthy practice was just their way of answering the call of nature or another diabolical means of boosting sales, because strange things Dey happen?. Would really love for you to share those experiences. ![]() |
mariahAngel:Exactly the thought! But ignoring sometimes could be it on a faceless forum like this. Responding to mischievous comments could only prolong what should have been put to rest by one’s silence. That’s my own way sha. Not necessarily the best I could impose on others. |
pocohantas:But you could ignore such and decide not to feed the person’s ego/folly by responding. Just what I wanted to talk about the other time I mentioned you. I guess we see things and react differently. |
Lizzyangel:Could you at least refrain from responding to every of the comments made. Look, whether your case is genuine or not,you alone know that and try not to justify it anymore. Put your trust in whatever god you serve and pray for something better to come your way (plus work HARDER). I won’t advise you to feel offended by some of the comments here, some humans have created reasons to doubt people’s sincerity by their fraudulent actions. Try to stay calm and be positive. You may however need to re-examine some of the advice given here and try to see if it’ll work for you. This is life, and we all have to live with it. Better days ahead. |
RapistOnBail:Do we still have middle class in this country? Either rich or poor ni. Na the poor com get grade. |
While I consider religion a VERY SENSITIVE issue, such move, if successful, will be all about them (politicians). Anything to help them maintain their strong hold on the ignorant and deprived citizens who are making their happiness a matter of choice since the so called leaders have failed them. Just a lil bit of activity to ease the tension and deprivation meted on them by the government. This is even a private arrangement, unless they are able to prove that there is a subsidy in this sport viewing business that the masses are not aware of. Promote religion, and continue to indoctrinate them. They won’t have time to question “why” or “what”.... it’s simply a weapon our politicians deplore to suppress their fears |
May we not be tested beyond what we can overcome, if this is true. And may we have the heart and zeal to not consider dishonesty or fraud as a path to follow if hers is a false claim. In all, whether true or false, may we find reasons to value our integrity more. K’ Ólòrún ma ko àida mówa. |
These two should see a therapist or talk to a counselor. Throwing your private life into the open on NL isn’t healthy. Unless this is a farce, both partners may not know to what extent they have damaged their personalities. No one is a devil, No one is a saint. Consious efforts towards changing your attitude and helping your spouse through a change process seems more like it. |
EmptyGarden:Free and fair election would have been a long process ![]() You know INEC voter registration is still ongoing. ![]() |
Protest unwarranted. Whoever is to act in that capacity should and must be non-partisan. Unfortunately, the Lawan led senate will give clearance. |
pocohantas:Nothing to be worried about. Kinda confidential and in no way related to the topic like I said (reason I don’t want to post here) It’s okay if you do not approve of me sending a PM. Seeking your consent first is me being formal. |
pocohantas:Do I have your consent to send a PM? I’d like to share a piece with you off this platform (not related to the topic). |
Ahmed0336:If you show genuine love to your pets, and encourage very strong bond between you two, you won’t be left alone in such moments. That’s a fact! |
All I see is a Nigerian indicted. Tribal sentiments aside, every tribe in this country will pay for this. This is because the WEST isn’t seeing Igbo or Yoruba. What they see is NIGERIAN. |
Patrioticman007:That’s an unfair thing to say bro. I’m Yoruba too but I believe crime or criminality is an individual thing, not a tribal one. |
Must have been traumatic for her, especially if she was innocent of the allegation. I pray she gets through the ordeal, considering our people and their attitude towards persons that have spent time in detention/prison. |
pocohantas:Could you please tell me how long it took you to get the doc after DIY. I’ve renewed like twice (thru IOs) all because I learnt it takes very long for appplicants doing it by themselves to get the the issued document. Current one is expiring next April. Won’t mind the DIY way if it doesn’t take long also. PS: Don’t forget the usual booklet scarcity as a factor too. Thanks |
If the above assertion (Sanwo-Olu completing Ambode's second term on a christian ticket) is anything to go by, how then do you explain Tinubu's (muslim) 8yrs and Fashola's (muslim) 8yrs making a total of 16yrs of Muslim governors as against Ambode's 4yrs and Sanwao-Olu's 4yrs (at least for now) making 8yrs as a parameter for determining that the next governor must be a muslim. In this day an age, we shouldn't dwell on religious affiliation where sensitive and critical issues like governance is concerned (except for areas where federal character needs to be recognized and addressed- unlike Bubu's ways). The right person for the job should be allowed to do it, irrespective of his/her religious background. Unfortunately, my people have not been able to see beyond this, and many would prefer an incompetent person to occupy a public office simply because they practice same religion. Though I don't go to church always, but I don't allow my being a christian cloud my reasoning. Erastus Akingbola (an ex banker, and a pastor I think) is a christian. Mudashiru Obasa is a muslim. I need not say more. Figure it out if they have the right credentials to hold public office by virtue of them practicing same religion as you do. If a traditionalist has what it takes to deliver for a decade, and many more of same faith as his could continue to provide good governance, then christian and muslim politicians should take the back-seat. Lagos, like any other Nigerian secular state should re-strategize. We can't continue like this and expect the lives of millions to improve based on religious sentiments. |
@Resurrection212 This is not a result of poverty. It's sheer heartlessness. The grandma is purely inhuman. Sad thing to happen, especially when it's coming from someone you call family. |
Ishilove:A lot of guys are, you know (my belief though). |

... Two Ugly people should never make babies.
