@Ezekiel70. Am in Industrial Chemistry. But it seems we're in the same department sha. Are u on whatsapp. We need to connect |
please, is there any whatsapp group created for both chemistry/Industrial chemistry Student...... |
Hakeem12:Also an industrial chemist (newly admitted - 100L) but A Uite. Oau's too slow oo. If nt for our current strike, we would have start our exam on may 23. I dnt knw about Oau but here in University of Ibadan, we're given fixed courses of 43 units overall for d whole 100l session. That means We werent allowed to remove or add to our courses. Assuming we were given d chance, I would ave remove Phy 115..... The course is nt dat hard, but, there are some Lecturers that are harder dan the course dey lecture. U will also find lecturers like dat in Oau. HAPPY RESUMPTION |
BSSA:I don't knw why people kept wasting there time every year. Do u think there's a miracle to passing UI post utme. See, if u applied for mbbs last year and u werent even close to the cut off, I dont see any reason why u should pick it again dis year.... UI exams change every year and absolutely no one can tell u the exact textbooks to read in excelling from d exam.... #fact ..... |
valeroso:So, u're nt in dis country abi. Start listening to news |
Simcha:acceptance fee #20,000........ Skul fees #23,800..... Compulsory Hostel fee #14,000 |
Many Students want to study Mbbs. They dont really knw what graduates of that course is facing now.... |
emmaak2:u deserve my respectect. Kudos to ur thinking faculty |
Any mellanbite here should drop there numbers to be added to the Mellanby whatsapp group. The Group rocks at the moment and u'll enjoy it |
espionagesavvy:bros, we're in d same shoes o. I also will rather do Mbbs instead of Dentistry. I just dnt knw what lies await me nw when I become a graduate |
jaydee87:that's what I meant by practical.... |
And, forget about what ur Lecturers are telling u about ur course, the benefit in it, and where u can work..... They will only tell u something dat will motivate u in studying it but never let u knw what is really out there for u... A lecturer in one of my school department told His student that after there NYSC, dey will be paid nothing less dan 400k... Then, I begin to wonder, if there's a company out there paying 400k for fresh graduate, why is that lecturer still in d skul earning 80k as salary nd did nt go 4 d 400k Job.... My dear, Knowledge is knowing tomatoe is a fruit, But, Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad....... |
farouk0403:well, u're wright about one thing, am not a graduate. Yet still, am not a Jambite. Am a 400L Dentistry student from the University Of Ibadan. You see, am nt a graduate, but I move with graduates.... Even as a Doctor of Dentist, ave knwn since my Pre-medical days dat Nigeria isn't d wright place 4 me 2 start my carreer.... I see aw even doctors 4rm both federal nd state Hospital are collecting Pittance amount of money. Look, Do u want to be Limited to banks Only. For Goodness sake, How much is bank employee's salary. Some bank's salary does nt worth d stress at all. Moreover, is bank employment readily available. Your course is good enough, am nt disputing dat, All I want u to do is to be prepared for d worse and be practical. Theory aspect of Ur course may not Help u, but d practical will take u a long way..... But believe me, if u cn travel to abroad after ur Nysc, You will be very Happy u Studied d course..... Nigeria is a destiny destroying country.... |
farouk0403:My dear brothers and sisters don't be deceived, don't let anyone come and tell you that ''i know of someone that studied yoruba and is working in the bank''. Come to think of it, will you just carry your certificate in yoruba and your C.V and apply for a bank job? (in fact, the receptionist will just fling your documents away) This is near impossible and the only way it can be possible and work out is having a very good connection (which is what Nigeria is all about today) and the special grace of God. |
U guys don Enter One chance. Na wa o, so if I had chosen dat skul, dey would ave advised me also to go into Aquaculture or Forestry.... I dey feel u guys pain o. Making it to any medical course no be easy Job, nw u're there nd dey wanna use style to deny ur admission........ Anyways, Good for u, sheybi na u dey shout "Unilag 1st nd d best"... Nw, dey don show u aw best dey are............. . GOD BLESS UI...... |

opeaceo:abeg, Leave that guy. He's just whyning Himself. Which course in college of medicine will u see a pass mark of CGPA2.0, Talkless of MBBS.... I think The guy dey sleep-walk while typing....... It may happen b4, but at present, NUC ave increased d CGPA for every university offering Health Science courses..... |
Night reading is pure sufferness coz ur body requires 2 sleep at night nd u're simply preventing it 2. Since my years in d University, I ave never seen a distinction student reading at night. B4 going 2 class in d mawning, wake up around 4:am nd read 4 atleast 2hrs with ur dictionary beside u 2 check 4 big grammers u cant understand. It makes reading easier 2 understand. Night reading is complete bullshit nd I stopped it when a guy in my class, whom is also my roommate, is currently d only distinction student nd what he does was to sleep at an early time of 10pm nd only wake up at 4am nd read b4 going 2 class. And when He arrived 4rm class by 5pm, He relax for 1 or 2hrs, then, by 6 or 7pm, he went to reading room with His lecture note and never return till 9 or 10pm. I always said He's boring, nd nw, 1st semester result is out nd He's d top of d class with an Outstanding Cgpa. I too also copied He's style of reading nd nw, my grades are improved compared to when I was still doing Night reading..... |
jaydee87:you're 1st class comedian. If it's dat easy for crop production to work anywhere, I wonder what a Microbiologist or Botany is doing at home..... Just dey whyne d guy. Better tell him d truth nd let Him knw His faith so dat He can be prepared 4 d worse Or Else, he's gonna curse u later when He becomes a graduate.. Work anywhere my foot. Even u sef don divert 4rm ur field into photographer. He doesn't knw Nigerian and it's Job sector. In dis present economy, After 5yrs of being a graduate with 2nd class upper, a chemical engineering student is still out there searching 4 Job... |
The post is still alive nd Healthy, waiting 4 more replies 4rm Chemists in d house, then the whatsapp construction begins.... |
mathefaro:I was also given Mellanby. When I went to check the hall on tuesday, It was extra neat and beautiful.... Have even secure a room from the hall warden.... |
Packup:Bro, how can new student get the wifi username nd password. Is it something the school will give to us after resumption |
VcStunner:I just can't wait to be a graduate. Can I have your mobile line please? And your facebook username. Thank you |
An undergraduate in Industrial
Chemistry, from UI. TO BE CANDID,
I love being in this course. It just
gives u a better and promising
future. One thing I so much like
about it is that, if any sector is
dying, u can actually divert to
another sector just by using ur
B.sc. I mean, if d petroleum
sector is dying, u can enrol into d
medicinal sector with ease and if
medicinal sector is also dying,
buiseness sector is also there.
Infact, banks nowadays prefer
chemist graduate than graduate
from there professions. WE
ROCK!!! |
Am still an Industrial Chemistry undergraduate, and am quite inspired through u guys conversation....... God bless u all........ My prayer is just to be employed in a company that will be paying me 90k and above, immediately after graduation.... Mr Vcstunner, hope employers over there are paying well. I mean, cool cash |

Lynuche:Blood of zachariah!!! Am just a fresher and u're already a 1st class graduate in the same institution. I think I need some advice from u, such as, characters of the lecturers, how to answer exam questions, and so on. Please can I have ur line? |
sammysammy111:Guy, I swear, Glo are worst Nightmare. I could remember a day I called them, I slept, dreamt, woke up, the call was still in progress nd they still havent pick it. Had I known, I wouldn't have used it as my official line. |
Jobsdome:ok, thanks for the update |
Is this guy still alive, if so, please signify. After 5yrs, what are u doing now? |
