please does anyone know the courses to register for industrial chemistry
Also an industrial chemist (newly admitted - 100L) but A Uite. Oau's too slow oo. If nt for our current strike, we would have start our exam on may 23. I dnt knw about Oau but here in University of Ibadan, we're given fixed courses of 43 units overall for d whole 100l session. That means We werent allowed to remove or add to our courses. Assuming we were given d chance, I would ave remove Phy 115..... The course is nt dat hard, but, there are some Lecturers that are harder dan the course dey lecture. U will also find lecturers like dat in Oau. HAPPY RESUMPTION

I don't knw why people kept wasting there time every year. Do u think there's a miracle to passing UI post utme. See, if u applied for mbbs last year and u werent even close to the cut off, I dont see any reason why u should pick it again dis year.... UI exams change every year and absolutely no one can tell u the exact textbooks to read in excelling from d exam.... #fact .....

PASSION OR EGO? ●I remember vividly when I was about leaving the vicinity of secondary school education, almost everyone wanted to become doctors, lawyers, engineers, and other professionals, some actually became, but most could not! ●No single profession, course of study, job, appointment, is a monument of success, wealth, riches. . . What matters is what individuals bring individually to the table. Even in that perceived money creating course of study, many did it but are still very very poor. In matters of financial independence, be careful when following the bandwagon, for wherever is overcrowded, value drops and chances of survival reduces! ●To succeed as a medical doctor today, you need be extremely good, because they are too many! It's much more than passing MB exams or answering Doctor or hanging stethoscope, it translates to knowing what you are doing and doing it well, otherwise you'd end up as one of the most miserable doctors in this wide world! ●Is it about reading law? I respect lawyers greatly, but everyone can not be lawyers! I see no reason a lawyer should be teaching government in a secondary school! Why didn't you just go ahead and read education, why spend 6 years in school and law school? You see, it's more than getting the L.LB degree, it's about knowing your onions! ●In matters of financial independence I say; Go with your passion, not with your ego!
u deserve my respectect. Kudos to ur thinking faculty

will still go into that when am ready but for now am not... you can also look in that direction too... a friend started rearing cow when we were in our first year now he has cows... so you can also start husbandry

And, forget about what ur Lecturers are telling u about ur course, the benefit in it, and where u can work..... They will only tell u something dat will motivate u in studying it but never let u knw what is really out there for u... A lecturer in one of my school department told His student that after there NYSC, dey will be paid nothing less dan 400k... Then, I begin to wonder, if there's a company out there paying 400k for fresh graduate, why is that lecturer still in d skul earning 80k as salary nd did nt go 4 d 400k Job.... My dear, Knowledge is knowing tomatoe is a fruit, But, Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.......

Sorry sir I mean no disrespect but are you a jambite?? Because you sound like one. I guess if you are a graduate you supposed to know what's going on in the labour market. To cut you short, Banks has no restriction for courses the only restriction is age barrier which you should not be above 28 and some other banks will request minimum of 2:1.
Am not here to argue nor lie, am a living witness because I have someone at my door step that studied geography and he works with GT bank, yes!! My blood brother. But if you are still doubting me please you can go to any Bank in your area and ask, or you should check any advertisement on their job you will see what am talking about.

You supposed to know that each and every course in the university before graduation your coordinators or some times lecturers will tell you the job prospect of the course and possible field that you can work in.

Lastly I want you to know that Agriculture is a vast course with many decipline inside it, as a graduate in Agric you should try to be self reliant because you can be an entrepreneur by establishing your own farm through or you can be a consultant, but only serious student that engage in practical aspect can accomplish it. If you see any agric graduate that is job hunting is either he has no capital to start with or he is just looking for job security.

But my advice to those that are yet to go to their youth service, is please they should save every penny of their NYSC alawee so that after completing their service they can start small business while they are still searching for job
well, u're wright about one thing, am not a graduate. Yet still, am not a Jambite. Am a 400L Dentistry student from the University Of Ibadan. You see, am nt a graduate, but I move with graduates.... Even as a Doctor of Dentist, ave knwn since my Pre-medical days dat Nigeria isn't d wright place 4 me 2 start my carreer.... I see aw even doctors 4rm both federal nd state Hospital are collecting Pittance amount of money. Look, Do u want to be Limited to banks Only. For Goodness sake, How much is bank employee's salary. Some bank's salary does nt worth d stress at all. Moreover, is bank employment readily available. Your course is good enough, am nt disputing dat, All I want u to do is to be prepared for d worse and be practical. Theory aspect of Ur course may not Help u, but d practical will take u a long way..... But believe me, if u cn travel to abroad after ur Nysc, You will be very Happy u Studied d course..... Nigeria is a destiny destroying country....

But there are many jobs that do not specify the coursed they need, such as banking jobs, graduate trainee, agro allied company sorry agro allied company are only for Agric students, marketing jobs, academician and so many more, those jobs that I listed they have training school to train you for some months after employment, but high cgpa will give you upper hand and chances to be selected for interview, I knew many graduates that deviate from what they studied from the university to a complete different career.

Also let me tell you something, there is high job opportunity in the north than the southwest, because the percentage of graduate in the north are low compared to that of southwest, south west has so many educated elite that are choked up in the labour market which makes it difficult to secure a job.. I hope that clarify everything for you
My dear brothers and
sisters don't be deceived, don't
let anyone come and tell you that
''i know of someone that studied
yoruba and is working in the
bank''. Come to think of it, will
you just carry your certificate in
yoruba and your C.V and apply
for a bank job? (in fact, the
receptionist will just fling your
documents away) This is near
impossible and the only way it
can be possible and work out is
having a very good connection
(which is what Nigeria is all
about today) and the special
grace of God.

Night reading is pure sufferness coz ur body requires 2 sleep at night nd u're simply preventing it 2. Since my years in d University, I ave never seen a distinction student reading at night. B4 going 2 class in d mawning, wake up around 4:am nd read 4 atleast 2hrs with ur dictionary beside u 2 check 4 big grammers u cant understand. It makes reading easier 2 understand. Night reading is complete bullshit nd I stopped it when a guy in my class, whom is also my roommate, is currently d only distinction student nd what he does was to sleep at an early time of 10pm nd only wake up at 4am nd read b4 going 2 class. And when He arrived 4rm class by 5pm, He relax for 1 or 2hrs, then, by 6 or 7pm, he went to reading room with His lecture note and never return till 9 or 10pm. I always said He's boring, nd nw, 1st semester result is out nd He's d top of d class with an Outstanding Cgpa. I too also copied He's style of reading nd nw, my grades are improved compared to when I was still doing Night reading.....

innovation and product development as regards new product formula cards. I had my IT in SC Johnson wax limited Lagos, makers of Raid and Baygon insecticides, mosquito coil, nixoderm etc. At a point we required cheaper raw materials for the coil production that will be just as effective and yet accessible. Only chemistry will break your choice down to its empirical form for in depth understanding and likely applications. It was assigned to me as a challenge and after 2 weeks I came up with cassava. It was tried and worked just fine. That's innovation. On product development, during the ebola period, there was a need for an effective hand sanitizer. We didn't study the virus, but we know exactly the amount of each reactants to put together and save our selves. What started like a lab joke was later commercialized by the same firm and sold in plastic containers to the public. I just love chemistry.
I just can't wait to be a graduate. Can I have your mobile line please? And your facebook username. Thank you

An undergraduate in Industrial Chemistry, from UI. TO BE CANDID, I love being in this course. It just gives u a better and promising future. One thing I so much like about it is that, if any sector is dying, u can actually divert to another sector just by using ur B.sc. I mean, if d petroleum sector is dying, u can enrol into d medicinal sector with ease and if medicinal sector is also dying, buiseness sector is also there. Infact, banks nowadays prefer chemist graduate than graduate from there professions. WE ROCK!!!
