Point is, People buy according to preference... Have been using S21 ultra now since 2 years, the phone is serving me well and I see no need to upgrade to S23 Ultra... I purchased the S21 ultra because of the 100x Zoom features, am a fan of binoculars... Until I see any captivating features in any Samsung future release, I will continue to use this S21 ultra....

And mind you, I hate iPhone with passion, it has nothing i want...

There are many Nigerians in the same Uk who got work permit to work as auditors, nurses, tech , doctors,HR etc directly from Nigeria. There is post graduate work permit of 2 years for students who graduated. Many that could not get job after studies settled for care work 5 years work permit. All these categories listed above can travel to Nigeria at will.

The weakness in the naira — among Africa’s worst performing currencies — has helped banks with overseas assets, while manufacturers have reported losses because they have foreign-currency loans.

“Across the banking sector, most of them have a net positive foreign currency position,” said Muyiwa Oni, an analyst at Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc. “The revaluation gain is a trend we should see in the industry.”

Guaranty Trust Holding rose 3.5% in Lagos, heading of the biggest gain since July 21.

Indeed. We all have a right of choice and you did make valid point here. I too have preserved some funds in BTC and USDT in the near-past, but later pulled out because these cryptos [that have limited supplies] are NOT backed by market fundamentals. I already posted some links and a video above to show this and the fact that the founders of some of these stable coins have been under investigations for financial infractions. These are red flags for me. Better to scale back and keep MUCH of ones funds in fiat currencies and real gold for the long-term. One can still keep some funds that one can afford to lose though in USDT and one other stablecoin.



Second, back in the 2000s, folks like me were using E-Gold and Liberty Reserve for transactions only to lose them all of a sudden when these outlets got closed by the U.S. regulatory authorities. At any point in time, these crypto exchanges can go down or disappear with people's hard-earned funds. A lot of lessons have been learned from the past with reference to these fickle digital currencies.

Am sure he wasn't aware USDT lost it's peg against real dollar during that Luna crisis... On binance, 1 USDT became 0.98 dollars before crypto gurus do there magic to return it back to 1 USDT = 1 dollar 30 minutes after...... Since then, I save in Dormicilliary and Alipay, can't trust USDT with any large amount....

Official rate is around 780, but you want parallel market to go to 450... Nigeria is broke of Foreign currency. I have requested for 15k dollars through the i&E window since 2 weeks now, it's yet to be disbursed.... no news should be bringing that rate down close to official rate in the first place coupled with the fact that CBN announced same yesterday that it has reduced bank allocation, that should skyrocket the rate more, but no, its the news CBN paid daily trust to publish that brought the rate down.... i know someone that went to change his dollars at BDC yesterday, but the Mallam did not collect it because they are uncertain of were the rate will dip to......

like I said, there's no demand and supply playing here, any negative news from speculators just as CBN said, Naira dips, Any positive news from CBN, Naira gains....

As at today, Naira that gained to 870 yesterday have now dipped back to 890...

People are intentionally creating official and black market rate and widening the gap for selfish reasons.... there are some people that keep buying this dollar at official window and selling to black market, thus, recycling the process... There's no possible way Naira should be 940 as at now in space of 2 months the rate unification was announced.....
