Oga , you don't want to experience it
It's only someone that have never been close with an SS that will take the Genotype matter lightly...

I'm not bothered about children I haven't given birth to....
If I am AS or SS, then I ought not to give birth coz I already know how hard it will be to train such child...
Be that as it may, are you telling me that SS and AS adult don't deserve love and caringhuh If so, then it's obvious you have no HUMAN SYMPATHY
No correlation of what you are saying with what am saying.... My main point is, Avoid whatever will Produce SS.... As for you, If you are AS, you can go ahead with another AS, only you will bear the responsibility and there will surely be a point in time where that SS child you will give birth to will regret you and your spouse Union. Am not bothered, am just repeating a well known advice for public reminder .....
With what my cousin and my two friend (male and female) faced and facing, all 3 SS, I will stay far away from anything that will produce SS....

That my cousin and the male friend are both dead now, the female one is married now and ladened with drugs, her whatsapp status every month always include pharmacy.... She's even afraid to get pregnant now because of the shege she's likely to face during pregnancy and delivery even for the fact that money is not her problem and she can conveniently afford private Doctor.....
Let me just put it this way " She has money, but she's not happy"... I know this because we had a heart to heart conversation....

That my cousin before he died, he was 8 years older than me and I look like his elder brother... The first time I saw him, I nearly send him on an errand... That's what SS can do to you.....
Truly there are very healthy SS that you won't even know they are SS, but these are just minority and still prone to serious health issue....

As it is, you are marrying for genotype...
Just live your life normal, don't put much pressure on your genotype.. when a woman comes your way... Love her and let her love you too...
When someone loves you, genotype doesn't matter...
Okay.. what if you are AS and be impotent nko??
So u see that life is not guaranteed...
If i see someone new and first thing the person ask me is for my genotype.. I'll tell you but that's the end of the relationship...
Love me for who I am not what I am ..
If a man with SS loves me to the core... I'll marry him.. even if he does the next day, I'll be grateful that he gave me those memorable moments of my life....

Be happy.. that's what matters ..
You have no idea what SS children passes through on a daily basis. Expecially the ones with stunted growth. Please don't reason like this and avoid Anything that will produce SS at all cost...

I wish I have the time to reply you explicitly but I will try my best this time.

Let's not even talk about Europe because that's total bullcr.p. If you don't have proper documentation in Europe, that's tantamount to disaster. The only place undocumented immigrants can have some breakthrough is USA. How many Nigerians are doing one job(8hrs/day) and earn above 100k USD/yr even in USA? Give the figure if you have it. There is life and work balance.

I still stand by my take. Japa should be for strugglers but not for 3000 USD/month earner in Nigeria. Na Buhari took Nigeria to it's lowest low. People returned to Nigeria in droves during Jonathan era. Let's pray for better Nigeria because there are many diasporans that don't want to be buried in obodo oyinbo.

As I have said, we are engineered differently. There are people that just wants to live a comfortable lives that are free of working like jackie for the rest of their lives. At your bolded, this is not me actually. Also, I have a friend that have everything to Japa but decided to stay put because he used to visit his relatives in North America when he was doing his PhD(FG sponsorship) and saw the way they are living with complaints about finances. My friend's wife is even a nurse. He told me that he is not relocating anywhere. No one in his neighborhood knows that he used to go abroad for holiday. He always go to the airport with his luggages whenever he wants to catch flight. So, not everyone has those oppression mentality pls. Dont generalized Nigerians. There are good people in Nigeria.

What about Japarians that return to Nigeria and start oppressing from the airport? Are they not part of the society?

If you can be able to reach 20 yrs old before leaving Nigeria, we are all in this together. At some point, many of you will miss home. And if you don't miss home, that's good for you.

Bye bye.
You are replying someone that belive saving in dollar is better than buying properties because government can takeover the property anytime

Yeah and there's NOTHING like fuel subsidy. Nigerians believed that too.

Bottom line -

Selling naira based assets and converting to dollar or pounds sterling automatically produces profits without doing anything. This has been the trend for DECADES and will likely remain so.

Land in Nigeria is owned by government. That's why MORTGAGE isn't so widespread in Nigeria, it's impaired collateral.

That's the economic reality.

Good Luck with all that!
Baba said that have been the trend!! Who's following that trend with you...

Be deceiving yourself. When your mate that bought land are reaping x2, x5, profit, you will be struggling to make x1.5 on your dollar....
CareerRe: Is Japa Worth It? by alphabbey1(m):

The Land Use Act is the LAW, many have lost control of lands pursuant to it. There's no right to property in Nigeria, all land in Nigeria belongs to Government.

As for dollar losing value against dollar.....in 1990 the exchange rate was 4 per $1. Check it today.

Bye.
Minimum wage in Nigeria in 1990 is 250 Naira
Economics is not your strong point... that's why you don't know 1,000 naira in 1990 is not same as 1,000 naira in 2023. And what 1,000 dollar can buy in 1990 in America, Check it today if same 1,000 dollar have such power now.... The house 50,000 Dollar can buy in 1990 in Nigeria, you think same 50,000 Dollar can buy it now ?
Saving in dollar should be for temporary reason, not a long time project... properties should be your long term project... Or did anyone tell you if naira depreciate, properties depreciate along with it ? Even used cars appreciate if naira depreciate...

If you buy land in 1990, you have any idea how much the land will worth now ?
We bought our land below 10,000 naira in the 90s, pretty sure it will be far lower than that, land in same area is priced 25m naira now

Maybe you should go and check minimum wage in US in 1990 and see if its same minimum wage in 2023

And to your land argument, you ever heard of Certificate Of Occupancy ?
And even without CofO, All land belong to the government doesn't give government right to claim any land. You need to have tangible reason such as a land situated on government road project.... Houses marked for demolition are on government road project and this same rule applies everywhere in the world. If you have CofO, you get paid for it...

And in UK, stop paying council Tax and other necessary fees and see if that your property will not be repossessed back

There's nothing like safe land in Nigeria. No amount of government papers can guarantee your "ownership" of any land, built or not.

Profit of 100 million naira adjusted for inflation in Nigeria comes out to very little profit. Calculate it in dollars and pounds sterling to understand. Anyone who has owned lands or buildings in Nigeria can testify to all this but Nigerians like to live in denial.

Recently the former Labour Minister Festus Keyamo, SAN wrote a Facebook post showing off a new home he bought in a small Texas town and also another one he bought in Statesville, a small town in North Carolina. Mr Keyamo knows what you should know - property ownership is NOT secure in Nigeria. Because the Land Use Act is a real thing. Nobody owns land in Nigeria. You can CLAIM you own land but the LAW says otherwise.

Anyone earning money in Nigeria should try to convert as much as possible to hard currency AND if feasible buy investments in countries with secure property rights and free markets.

Mr Keyamo is a real person. Anyone can take him more seriously than an anonymous handle on Nairaland.

Have a good day.
You are just lying. If you acquire your property in the right way with your lawyer by your side, nobody's dragging it with you.... Stop feeding yourself with lies.....

And unless your plan is to live in that country you are saving in its currency, you have no business saving in that currency... buying land in a developed area should be your best bet.... if you make a move to buy dollar at 870 it is now, This goverment can just bring a policy to drag the rate down to 600+, Exchange rate is not immune to coming down...

Think of how much people that bought dollar at 860 last year October lost when the rate went down to 730....

2. Do all universities accept BACHELOR DEGREES FOR MASTERS PROGRAM?

My question is the first one and not the second one. Anyways, I do not expect you to give an answer because you have not been able to many times before.

To attempt Canada relocation, u must have nothing less than 20 million in real cash in your account. The express entry score alone na die.

For Australia, the screening process is tedious and student visa application not too straightforward. Rejection rate is very high.

The only way to enter USA now is student visa. First u write SAT or GMAT, then get school admission which ain't easy. Finally u go and play Russian roulette at the American embassy. U need to see how people are bounced during visa interview. Everybody in the hall will know u've been rejected.

Most European countries have language barriers, without learning the language u can't get good jobs and build a successful career. Most Nigerians in Europe eventually end up relocating to UK due to this issue of language barrier.
You are talking of UK of the past..... Only God's grace and after hundreds of rejected application will get you good job and successful career now

Do all universities in the US and Canada accept all bachelor's degree for masters directly?

This will tell you they look beyond your academic qualifications. I have been giving you data to back up my arguments but you have not provided one.

Those that do accept HND directly for masters and even PhD are not incompetent or unwise. They quite know what they are doing.

Perhaps you want a list of universities in the US, the UK and Australia that accept HND to master's degree programs directly, I will be willing to share if you want it.
You've provided Zero Data so far... not disputing there are schools accepting HND directly to masters, there are many, lots of them, but the fact you cannot say "all universities" accept HND directly to masters and PHD is the issue here....

And Yes to your bolded question. ALL universities accept Bsc directly to masters. The "all Bachelor's degree" you put in the question might be tricky, I wouldn't know what you are trying to express here...

One thing I ask of which I seek answer to is "Do all Universities in Canada and USA accept HND for Masters and PHD" ?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by alphabbey1(m): 5:55pm On Jul 13, 2023

Unconstructive arguments occur when there is no data to back it up.

If you have a good data, kindly share here so everyone can learn.

For the HND holder that got admitted to a PhD program directly, would (s)he have been easily given a chance to go for a master's degree in Nigeria irrespective of research and job experience not to talk of a PhD program? The US universities are not like us! They know the worth! Your last paragraph connotes an attestation to HND being accepted for a PhD admission without a master's degree.

I say it again, HND is assessed to be equivalent to PGCert by WES Canada and other ECA bodies in Canada. I will like if you can debunk this is not true and that PGCert is not higher than Bachelor Degree in Canada.

In the past, people have gained admission into master's degree programs in Canada using HND. It is because people don't want to be wasting money on application fees HND holders are advised to go for PGCert. Even, bachelor's degrees 2:2-- and some 2:1 below 71%-- are not acceptable for master's degree programs in Canada. We know this. It doesn't make them inferior.

I say it again, if your HND is strong (distinction), please go for master's degree.

You should see yourself as having a better qualification and be bold.

In the UK, the US, Australia, Benin, Togo et al, they accept Nigerian HND to master's degree program direct.
Everything you said still doesn't indicate HND is higher than Bsc... No way anyone is falling for that... If your statement is true, then All Universities in US and Canada should be Accepting HND directly for masters.... kindly explain why this is not so

That is what you think, but I am telling you what I know and am sure of.

Reasons and Proofs

1. HND is assessed to be equivalent to PostGrad. Cert. by WES Canada.

2. If PostGrad. Cert is higher than Bachelor Degree, then HND is higher than Bachelor Degree.

3. Recently, an HND holder got admission to a PhD-- Doctoral Degree-- program in a US university direct without having a Bachelor's or Master's Degree.

4. In Express Entry, HND gets 22 points, Bachelor Degree gets 20 points.

5. You should also note that Nigerian HND is higher than and different from the UK HND based on course load and credit units.

6. I can mention at least 10 UK universities accepting HND direct to master's degree programs. Also, I can mention at least 5 US universities accepting HND direct to master's degree programs.

7. You may want to ask for more evidence if the ones above are not satisfactory enough.
I dont really want this to turn into an argument bro, just that The fact that you want to bring evidence to prove no 6 should let you know there's no iota of truth in putting Hnd above Bsc. And no 3 is a free pass for Bsc holder. Every Bsc holder I know on scholarship in US are on PHD...

HND can have higher point in Express Entry because OND+HND is considered 2 or more degree, but I tell you that most Canadian universities do not see it in same view...

And for the HND person you know admitted into PHD, go and check the person's quantity and quality of project Research and publication.....

In Canada, HND is higher than Bachelor Degree because it is assessed to be equal to Post Graduate Certificate by WES.
