Nigerians are a people perpetually in search of new heroes. We are a people so confused about what we want, whether democracy or militocracy. Many years of debilitating military interventions and interregnum have turned us into victims of acute psychological impairment

debrief08: Dont mean to sound judgemental but i can see a clear difference between catholics and Pentecostals from the comments, catholics are deeper interested in the core while most of the Pentecostals who have commented here are interested in the show and side attractions

Am a catholic the part I enjoy most is the procession: this is the part when the rev fr and d mass servers including the lay readers enters the church am really wowed by this I always @ this time wish I was a priest, secondly its when we recite the apostolic creed this makes me feel am in a perfect holagrum with the doctrines of the catholic church, lastly is when the priest asks us to go home in peace as he says... The mass is ended let's go in the peace of the lord and himself and this entourage walks pass again with an aural of the burning incense. I love the catholic church.

mecus4love: What type of country is this? What use are these questions to the company?
My exact concern, me think they don't hv the job in the first place someone once said "people don't get jobs cus there are no jobs" not becus they fail tricky questions like this.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Technical & Brain Teaser Questions Asked During Job Interviews by alphaconde(m): 11:01pm On Sep 21, 2012
I failed the bungalow question during the widescope test, got to figure it out when I already got home, after that day I felt really embarrassed I travelled from edo state to lagos just to attempt doggy questions. It was after that interview I made a decision about my life
I stopped searching for jobs
I picked up an Msc form
Decided to face my small business and watch it grow
Sincerely I think these employers make a fool outta job seekers
I really don't think questions and answer like this reveals the worth or input of an individual
I can't stand before these embarrassment again the least thing close to it is when I start employing people or after my PhD.
Nija is fu..cked

Family › Re: The Most Suitable Job For A Married Woman? by alphaconde(m): 4:27pm On Sep 17, 2012
I have asked myself this question and I resolved that the best job is teaching (primary nursery and secondary) do u know the benefits?
Work starts 8am and closes 2pm @ most
You have 1month holiday to your self after 3month term work
As a teacher u teach your kids and follow up their school work
Perhaps they attend your school where u teach.. Wow u look over them while you work.
Absence of sexual harassment,
No targets
No meetings aside yóur town
Inshort u get sufficient time with our family.
I hve advised my girlfriend to start thinking of it
My both parents were teachers and when other kids complained of not having their parents around I didn't bliv it cus all day my parents were always on sight cus our day starts and ends the same way
They also helped us to b brilliant

Been a nurse is also a good one but teaching tops for a married woman

Culture › Re: Do You Believe In Rain Makers by alphaconde(op): 4:18pm On Sep 17, 2012
In the year 2002 we had our grand mums burial in the village and it was december 22nd since I was born I hv never seen rain around that period. So during the burial they ( the rainmakers in the village ) came around and demanded to be settled, when they where refused in a few minutes it started to shower. An elder uncle of mine had to pay them off and after then the clouds were clear and sunny. This was the instance where I began to believe.
Culture › Do You Believe In Rain Makers by alphaconde(op): 1:06pm On Sep 17, 2012
Hi Nairalanders,
Am really puzzled with the actions of these people who call themselves rain makers: those persons who can cause rain at the instance and can also stop rain as the case maybe. People patronize them @ occasion to help keep the weather clement. My problem is that does the rain answer them or its purely magical or they have studied and understand weather and as such can manipulate or determine it. Want to hear your opinions on this. Meanwhile I have seen some actions of these pple which keeps me confused.

Politics › Young Babies Costs As Low As N100,000 In Niger State by alphaconde(op): 2:32pm On Sep 15, 2012
The police in Niger state have arrested a
syndicate of human traffickers that deals with
the babies in Abuja, Niger and its environs.
The group sells these babies for the sum of
N100, 000 and above.
The syndicate is allegedly operated by a staff
nurse with the General Hospital, Kubwa in
Abuja, Martina Ohakwe who operates with
her partner, Kinsley Linus from Imo state.
The duo lure young ladies, expectant
mothers, young mothers and their babies in
some states in the east to Abuja with the
promise of providing them with gainful
employment and also lure young defenceless
girls with unwanted pregnancy with the
promise of getting someone to take care of
their babies.
The women are camped in a house believed
to be rented by Martina where they are taken
care of before their babies are sold.
Before their arrest, the group had sold a seven
months old twin daughter of Ngozi Nwani
after luring her with the promise of marriage
from Abakaliki, Ebonyi state. Kinsley gave the
twin baby girl to Martina who sold the baby to
one Joy Opara for N400, 000 and the eight
month old of 20 year old Oluchi Agachi for
N100, 000.
Speaking with our Correspondent when he
was paraded, Kinsley denied being a member
of the syndicate group as he was only offering
help for the girls who wanted money to take
care of themselves.
