bellong: Customer service manager is the closest. Thanks. Sponsored by NT and Tas only... not eligible for 189. This is a tough call as the criteria I just read on both states is a very very tall order. What next.... is there any closely related options SOS |

This is very accurate, to buttress the point below, There are different visa options for different reasons and different scenarios. The manner of our posts and comments are very important as its a part of the building block of other members decision either consciously or sub-consciously. uchenna2017: @ priceless and Co you need to read more on 489 before you make judgements, let me ask you a question if you are offered student visa to study will you migrate? If your answer is yes then....
Now 489 allows you to work like the person with 189 or 190 unlimited, your children will go to public school just like 189 or 190 for free. The only advantage that someone with 189 or 190 have that we don't have is PR, and benefits from medical, childcare... Which in the next 2 years with your visa 489 you will achieve same.
How do I mean you need to just proof you have worked in an organisation for a year, live in the state for a year then apply for 887 that will convert your 489 to PR.
Before we reject what we don't know let's make findings and again not everyone can get 189 or 190 so let us not discourage people with our words.
Finally if we can accept student visa and come and manage with just 20 hours per week work then why not go for the unlimited.
Wish everyone luck |

@Tuteso Your degree is what it is as compared to Australia AQF. You can't change that. What year is on your certificate? If you are married, you may want to consider partner points..(5) You can equally give English another go for additional 10pts and as bellong mentioned, you results are quite close..so am little more effort can nail the desired band.
Based on current trend you need at least 65pt for 263111 ITA. |

@SESE10 your best bet is for your husband to be primary applicant "he has the experience & Degree advantage" as mentioned by bellong He should access as a software application and programmer 2613. based on ACS rules, depending on his transcript content, 2/4/6 yrs maybe required to cling a positive assessment. I will go ahead and predict 4yrs will be deducted. its a good thing he has over 4yrs. Currently 65pts is good for 2613 and it has a very high quota of 6202 slots this year. Your likely point breakdown (primary) Age:30 Ed:15 Exp:0 Partner point: 5 Eng: 10 or 20(preferred) 60 or 65 or 70 depending on the combinations For partner point : ACS will require 4yrs for B.tech com engineering and you currently have 3yrs but i think you can also go with EA * for assessment, pass PTE (50) / IELTS (6) at competent level. * EA crew please assist with more information For more information on ACS visit www.acs.org , Also you can calculate points here https://www.acacia-au.com/skilled-migration-points-test.php |

KayVutton: Please how do I get a certified copy when transcripts ain't given to individuals What school You can either request for a local copy ( preferably use your office address). Or you can request a student copy. You can't then make photocopies of it and notarized at any law office or any of the high courts in your environment |

Please is it necessary to request for my transcript to be sent to ACS since I'll be doing RPL. No. You have to upload a certified copy during your application. ACS does not require any hardcopy document. All must be certified and uploaded. |

ZoeW: Dear Fam,
Let me celebrate the small victories 'cause I know the major ones are not far ahead! Few of you may remember the back and forth about claiming points for qualification even when not assessed by the assessing body. In my case I desperately needed additional 5 points and took a plunge which was not for the faint hearted (lol) and claimed my BSc anyway. I then paid for VETASSESS Point Test Advise and expected to results out in 10-12 weeks like most people here have stated. But it took 1 week from them receiving my transcript and 3 weeks from my application for them to give me my outcome.
My degree? AQF Bachelors Degree! I no fit happy finish!!! the small victories leads to the bigger one. waiting on the Grant news |

wisemen045: Wow! The PR route might get tougher. This is indeed an eye opener and insightful. Na this part sweet me pass:
New citizenship laws will be stronger
The government will introduce new citizenship laws this week and Immigration Minister Peter Dutton says they'll focus on English language competency and more thorough background checks. But the changes are set to be blocked in the Senate by Labor, the Greens and now the NXT, which confirmed its position to Fairfax Media on Tuesday.
"We will not be supporting the bill's passage through the Parliament," NXT senator Stirling Griff said. Mr Dutton's plan was "an attempt to fix problems that don't exist", he said. I hope the law gets tanked totally. |

bornlegend: Hey Bro! Please, help me elucidate better. My case is that I have been assessed positively by EA for engineering technologist ( read chemical engineering) due to no experience but I have over 6 years experience in QA in call centre. I want to claim points for it. Please, I need your help since you have past through that route. The experience is unrelated to your chosen occupation, which is why you omiited it in your asseesment , therefore it's not eligible for points claim. |
