jayooh: Good morning sir, what do you make of the current skillselect invitation/result seizure? I thought they usually go on break in December/june. Its a bit worrisome that the result are not being released in a timely manner... and it appears no ITA was sent out on Nov 1 as expected based on fortnightly schedule. Rumors and speculations across the web has it that the skillSelect system is full of bogus EOI's with very High scores thereby denying real EOI's its ITA and also that DIBP is working effortlessly on a clean up. https://www.facebook.com/iscah.migration/ All in all , I really hope DIBP will release some information to quench the ( insert a word from Patrick Obahiagbon dictionary ) soonest as this is the only genuine source for such information. Also the skill select system doesn't go on holiday break. Its a SaaS platform (Software as a service). however it can go down for maintenance or crash. However the Human Capital of the DIBP do go on holiday breaks. attached is the ITA records from 2016 till date http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Skil#tab-content-2

STAugustineOf13: Well...I gave you an updated version of your information. The year they talked about is here. 30-Oct-2017
Needed to update y'all, just incase anybody is planning on paying Assessment fee. For I do not see the need withholding the information. 2017-18 year has already been announced... all changes have been effected... New migration year starts in July and ends in June.. the link i quoted was a reference. Honestly you are still not explaining anything here. can you quote your sources you have not provided any updated .. rather "advice and conclusions" |

You may decide to copy it before them Cartels that runs this forum decides to delete it as usual[/b] Hi, what information are you trying to pass here ... some occupations have always been on the flagged list... @bold how did you arrive at such conclusion or what informed such an advice..!!!! @italics it clearly states its for information purpose and in this current year 2017/18. there is nothing to worry to about Flagged Means As part of the annual SOL review, there are a number of occupations which are ‘flagged’ for possible removal in the future. Generally, occupations are flagged when there is emerging evidence of excess supply in the labour market. For the 2016–17 SOL, 51 occupations have been flagged. Although being flagged down not guarantee that the role will be removed, we’d suggest that people looking to emigrate to Australia under one of the occupations below take this as an early ‘heads up’ that your choices may be limited when the 2017-2018 SOL is announced early next year. source: https://gettingdownunder.com/occupations-flagged-removal-australia-sol/This your post is confusing and very inaccurate |

Daslimo: Thanks a lot...lastly, I've come to the point of decision between both. Which should I opt for? PTE vs IELTS?
If ielts, General vs academic? I just need the 20 points through the easiest route.
Thanks again sir! To be candid, Nothing like easy route for any. You have to study hard and be @ your best... Be it PTE OR IELTS (general preferred). You have to bringup your A game. |

lanre92: Hello @all and greetings to the gurus in the house, @bellong, @zanyzara, @catchdwind4rmkd et al.
I came across this thread yesterday and it was very much on point for me. I've started reading from the first page since then. Thanks for the huge information been dished out here. Here is my profile.
M.Eng. Elect/Elect. Engr, BSc. Elect/Elect., Age 33, 6+ Experience in an Telecom Engineering firm. A family of 5 (3 kids) I plan to write my PTE exam soon and apply for assessment through Engineer Australia EA. I am hopeful to get assessment as professional engineer so as to take the 189 PR route as learnt from the first page of this thread. However, I need some clarifications regarding the financial implication of this hustle because things are a bit tight now. After paying for PTE and paying for Engineer Australia assessment, what other costs do I still need to cover to get the 189 Visa? I read in some pages people asking of statement of account, assets, visa payment etc. Please I need to know these before make PTE payment, being sure to know I'm capable of executing this financially. Your swift response in this regard will be appreciated.

LaddyB1: Hi all, am new on this thread. I have a really urgent question. I have an Australian student (based on scholarship) visa but am working on the PR pathway. Please Could you kindly tell me if you had a stop over in Malaysia,? I booked a turkish airline flight to Australia, and the flight is passing through Malaysia, then turkish airline is using Malindo airline as the connection flight to Perth. Please I want to know if we will be needing a Malaysia visa during the 1 hour 50 minutes transit time? Did you get a Malaysia visa? Or was it required from you ? Please quickly come. To a sister aid I'd you've used turkish airline recently.
Thanks You don't need Malaysian visa. Since you are not leaving the airport |
