Anyways it is cowardice on the part of the soldiers to kill someone who just surrendered to the state government and he wasn't Armed.
They even went ahead to issue a statement that Gana was killed after a fierce gun battle. With which guns after he surrendered his arms? and why was he (Gana) the only casualty in the fierce gun battle? Lies!!!
CrimeRe: My Terrible Experience With Mopol Officers At Benin Ore-asaba Road. by AlphaT1(m): 11:00am On Sep 09, 2020
RealZizou:
Please don't mind my English..

I will like to keep my identity because of my safety, I am from Oyo state (Ibadan) and i am having my NYSC service in Asaba.

I got a call last week Friday around 11:43am from my PPA principal asking me why i haven't report and i told her that i will be in Asaba this weekend.

I did fulfil my promise by going this Saturday (5 sept) to cut the story short when we reach Ore Benin road (6pm), this husky black Mopol officer stop our Toyota Siena car (public transport), he ask us to get down and he approach me remove your ear phone mister man in which i did and ask me what do i do for living? and i answered with a friendly smile sir Am a youth corps, then he reply me "Really" where is your ID card and i show him and he jokingly reply me u be Yoruba boy and i said yes Sir.

Then he ask for my phone, that's when i knew something is not okay, I actually gave him my phone and he kept on searching through my what'sapp message, Inbox and pic gallery. The next thing i will hear is Mr man move to that side (my heartbeat was already running madly) he ask me why can i have 85k in my account, Why am i using 2 what'sapp account. The next thing he started calling me names you this lazy yahoo boys, god catch u today, krokor dey ur yansh this time.

I beg him to let me go that am not a yahoo boy but all my plead fall into zero then he start to threaten me that he will hand me over to EFCC then he remove his handcuff and I plead to him multiple times then his colleagues came to me which i thought he want to help me beg him only for him to say "oh boy u sef do normal and water him flower" to my surprise one those boys selling gala and drinks came to us and brought out a POS machine and this stupid Mopol force me to transfer 80k then he release me but the strange thing is that these police officers are not with their tags to reveal their names and numbers and they kept calling eachother in nicknames like scorpion, Rambo they only wear that Mopol polo shirt and carry AK 47 rifles.

The painful part of my ordeal is that the 85k is my only savings.....I know that the Lord am serving will surely punish them....Police is not your friend o

You finally decided to have a logical argument on the topic. Either way, I already figured there is no winning or compromise with you and I'm not going to be stuck in this loop of one against the other so.... Hasta la vista!
It is not about winning any argument, it's about staying within the limits of your knowledge. I decided to write a little detail so you would learn. Even what one knows sometimes may be obsolete and may need to be updated. I am open to learning from anybody but not when it's obvious you lack understanding of the topic/issue. You have never seen nor read the Pharmacists Act (PCN Act), yet you are dishing out false information on partnership and pharmacy ownership. It is wrong. Well, I hope you'd learn. Goodluck.

You sound so knowledgeable about what nurses make except it is not entirely accurate. I have friends that make 450-650k in Nigeria as nurses, without their BSc, granted it's in the oil sector and all except one have specialty qualification outside general nursing but I also have another with 12yrs experience that makes 400k/month outside the oil sector, I've come across others that make way more in higher managerial positions, all private sectors. I also got a 150k/month offer as a neonatal intensive care nurse when I had less than 4 years nursing experience in 2017. I dont know the full details of the public sector except for those earning 115-150k and they dont have up to 20yrs experience like you stated so I'm not going to dive into that.

As far as traveling abroad goes, it's always good to weigh your options, I didnt even plan to relocate outside the country before or right after school of nursing in 2013 but during the 2016 recession, I had a rethink and God used nursing to bless me. I decided where I wanted to go from a list of US, UK, Republic of Ireland and Canada. The first 2 offered jobs, green card sponsorship and relocation expenses and Ireland offered 2 out of those 3. After I made up my mind on the one I wanted, wrote the required exams and applied for jobs, I got 3 jobs while I was in Nigeria, i chose 1 that offered the most for the shortest contract and good pay. Relocation and green card sponsorship was by the facility, they even offered to sponsor spouse and kids under 21 If I had any, they paid my flight ticket, first 2 months rent, entire visa process (I left the country with an immigrant(green card) visa), gave me a non interest car loan after I got here and helped me settle in. There was no nepotism involved. I'm sure you cant get that with pharmacy anywhere. There is also more job opportunities and career options for nurses home and abroad. Also, you actually dont need to be a pharmacist to set up a pharmacy, you just have to partner with one.
In many countries around the world, only the pharmacist can own a pharmacy. In the U.S, only few states (e.g Washington) allow non-pharmacists to own a premise, but even at that you still need a pharmacist's license to run it. Infact, no body, no pet, no stone can open the shop if the pharmacist is not around. He makes the crucial business decisions, the owner is just there because he/she brought the capital.
Even in lawless Nigeria, you need a pharmacist license to operate a pharmacy. It is impossible to own a pharmacy shop without a superintendent pharmacist doing the registration for you. You equally need a pharmacist manager to own 60% of the shares. Forget the lawlessness you see around, if the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) decides to work, many of the so called shops you think just anybody can set up will be shut down and their owners jailed....It is always good to stick to what you know. Don't assume you know. I don't want to go into other details.

What is a pharmacist nurse? I have worked in the U.S and Europe with no license...It wasn't needed. Only clinical roles require it. You have limited knowledge of pharmacy scope of practice. What you don't know, ask or search deeper.

Do you know what you are writing? No wonder your type are pegged at a 6.5 in IELTS writing module. Do not mumble words that you are not sure of their meaning and usage. You are a small girl; humble yourself so that you can learn and grow. With this unteachable attitude, you can't learn. Always stick to what you know! It's a candid advice. Don't peddle lies over what you know nothing about. If you don't know a thing, ask! You still did not show me the grammatical error in the sentence: did you go to school?
I have nothing against you, and I would love to see you excel in your chosen profession. But that will only happen at a cost; humility and the willingness to learn.

Nursing

A universal discipline unlike pharmacy whose Nigerian certificate won’t allow you to make professional practice in correct countries.

To practise as a pharmacist in UK, one will need a year course to convert one’s certificate known as OSPAP diploma certificate before the professional exam. Unlike nursing which one can even use Nigeria diploma in nursing to write the CBT
Pls stop writing rubbish to confuse the young man more on what you lack knowledge of. Stick to what you know....

That's how my uncle wrote promotion exam (from deputy director to director), and they said he failed. Meanwhile some dullards (from a particular region) passed and were promoted. My uncle requested to see his scores and script. They refused to show him the script but said he scored 32%. He went to court, the judge ordered for the full results, lo and behold, his original score was 82% (top of the class). 2 of the dullards that had been promoted scored less than 40%. The CBN's monetary policy leaves a lot to be desired. more politically motivated than economical.

Spending money to defend the value of the naira isn't a smart long term plan. The market should be allowed to determine the value of the currency and more importantly is the need to merge the parallel rates into one.

Baamm:
The question is “are you is next of kin” ?? If you are then you can start by going to the pension office he is using
Many Nigerians do not understand what next of kin means (legally). Next of kin is just someone to contact in case of (say) an emergency, it has nothing to do with inheritance. The guy said his father is dead, he doesn't have to be next of kin to claim his father's properties. If there is a WILL, next of kin (NOK) is meaningless, everything will be shared according to the Will. Where there is no will, the law recognizes the Spouse and the children as the heirs. If there is no spouse or children, then the parents can claim the inheritance. If no parents then siblings (blood sisters and brothers). All that is needed is just paper work to provide all the necessary documents. I was the next of kin but never went there even for one day, my mum and older bro. did all the waka; letter of administration, death certificate etc. The money was paid to my mum.

Iyienu Mission Hospital and Health Care Foundation
Iyi-Enu Mission Hospital since inception has been at the fore-front of missions, preaching and healings through tending the sick, the suffering and the dying. It will be recalled that the Rev. Henry Dobinson and Rev. F.N. Eden under the Church Missionary Society's (C.M.S) medical mission initiated what is today called "Iyi-Enu Mission Hospital" when they saw the need to reach the people with medical services on their arrival at Ozalla, Onitsha in 1890.

The Iyi-Enu Mission Hospital of today started as a dispensary in a somewhat dilapidated mud building in the old C.M.S. compound which was originally built by the first Bishop of the Niger Territory - the Rt. Rev Samuel Ajai Crowther - who also lived there.

Other missionaries that came later include:

* Miss Taylor (a nurse) - 1893
* Miss Maxwell (a nurse)
* Dr. Clayton
* Miss Mary Elms
* Miss Edith Warner
* Dr. & Mrs. A.E. Bruit – arrived in 1907
* Dr. R.Y. Stones (a surgeon)
* Miss K. Beswick (a nurse)
* Miss Cooper (a nurse) - arrived 1914
* Miss Janet M. Lake (a matron)
* Miss Ida Hill - arrived 1923
* Miss Dorothy Jewitt arrived in 1924
* Dr. Sybil Bartley (a woman) - joined 1926
* Dr. Jessy Horn (a woman) - arrived 1929
The above-listed names were some of the missionaries from England who worked relentlessly in bringing Iyi-Enu Mission Hospital to its present location in 1907.

In 1913, the foundation stone of the new Dispensary block, in memory of the Late Ven. Henry Dobinson (the leader of the team), was laid by the Governor-General designate to Nigeria, Sir Frederick Lord Lugard. The late Dobinson died suddenly of dysentery while on a pastoral visit to Asaba.

Worthy of note is that Iyi-Enu Mission Hospital is divinely instituted upon the Rock (Jesus Christ), hence the Lord has been so gracious to us in spite of the numerous challenges that have been encountered. As at the period under review, patients that were accessing healthcare services at Iyi-Enu Mission Hospital came all the way from Ogidi, Nkpor, Oze, Umuoji, Obosi, Awka, Nnewi, Nsukka, Okigwe, Egbu, Ubulukwu, Agbor, Ekpoma, Oleh, Ugheli, Ida, among others.

The hospital also embarked on the training of local staff and in 1930-1931, Iyi-Enu School of Nursing and Midwifery started in earnest after obtaining approval from the government. These schools are still running till date.

http://iyienumissionhospital.org/origin.php
This is where I served. They treated me well. Right from the camp to the hospital, a bus came and picked us. We were (three corps members) given a fully furnished three bedroom flat in the hospital quarters. One meal ticket everyday. On my exit, the gifts were like I just wed(ded). Rev. Johnny (of blessed memory), the then administrator was a born administrator.....I miss the place honestly...
