PoliticsRe: Aisha Buhari: Fatima, Mamman Daura’s Daughter Laughed, Mocked Me, Blocked Me by AlphaT1(m): 8:23pm On Oct 15, 2019
BluntBoy:
So, what should Buhari have done? He should have beaten Daura's daughter or locked her up?

Is there a family in this world where there are no conflicts? And does that belittle the competence of the head of that family? We are humans, and are bound to collide once in a while due to individual differences and conflicting interests. That is why we have conflict resolution.

Aisha's story did not happen suddenly. You must have read about Yusuf and the House that Maman Daura once occupied. This means that the tension had been building over time. Aisha has yet to imply that Maman's daughter is always rude to her, so it might just be a one-off incident which happened due to anger, immaturity, and women palaver.
This line of thought really reveals how "zombish" some of our people think. What is Mamman Daura doing in Aso Rock with his family? Some mumu can defend anything....ishhhh!

This logic is very clear. Should I say labor president make a mistake. Yes labour made a big mistake but how ? Because they asked federal government to increase the minimum wage from 18k to 30k of which they thought it will reflect on other workers that earning more than 30k monthly. Federal government only want to make sure that if your salary is more than 30k before There's no any reason to increase your salary. The new minimum wage would only help those who go home with 18k monthly. But I doubt if NYSC have start paying the corps members the 30k. And I believed that labour president signed this agreement so finally government outsmart them yet they will say Buhari is dullard.
Perhaps you don't understand the dynamics of minimum wage. So if your salary was 30k on grade level 2, now someone on grade level 1 should earn same 30k salary with you abi? The govt or rather politicians know what they are doing, this govt has only one goal: impoverish the people until they become helpless and accept anything thrown at them. They increased fuel pump price from 97 to 145 NGA, now they've increased VAT by 50% which means you will pay more for electricity that one hardly sees, toll gates are coming back on death traps called roads etc...BTW this is not the first time of having a new minimum wage....why is it different now?

You are just quoting irrelevant personal opinions here. How does level of literacy equate to standard of education of a university? I am from the South mind you. The north being backwards in literacy level does not mean the federal universities there are of inferior standard to those in the south. You are mixing the whole thing up. Well, it is obvious you are not a researcher and just expressing your ill-formed personal opinions with no proof to back them up.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't an A1 in mathematics a mandatory subject for admission into Med School?

Admission into any of the top tier Southern universities like UI, UNN, UNILAG, OAU will be very tough even with a fairly decent result like this one. You'll be competing with literally the sharpest brains on the African continent, the overwhelming majority of whom are Southern Nigerians.

But if you're not too picky and you don't mind lowering your standards, you can waltz into any Northern university with that result. You'll be the one eyed king in the land of the blind.
Another unexposed Nigerian sighted. Which university in the north are you referring to? Where is he from? Have you heard of catchment area? and 'man-know-man?' If you are not from the 19 northern states and you know nobody there to help you, this result is trash and can't even rank among the 1st 200 candidates that apply for medicine @ABU or UniJos. I did my undergrad in the north and 1st MSc in Unilag...I lectured in the South for a while before leaving the academia..I marvel at the way you people talk about those glorified secondary schools in the south as being better than the glorified secondary schools in the north. Pls discard this mentality.

A course coordinator in the "almighty" Ahmadu Bello University, appending his signature to a badly written letter, without reading or really read it, yet despatched same as having been rightly written?

Please, read this letter and let's hear your opinion on same.

I already have a stable job tho but I just thought of attending interviews with the aim of either greener pastures and to experience what most job seekers pass through. I'm a pharmacist though

The First was a job vacancy advertised on nairaland by an online firm in UK, they needed an online health rep.. The interview was on WhatsApp..They drilled me with so many research questions, gave me deadlines to submit and I always wowed them by submitting before deadline.. The interview process took about a week.. The next week..They called for salary negotiation..I was so excited but my excitement was cut short when they told me they're paying according to minimum wage..i was taken aback..even though I opted for part time..30000 wasn't cool because I knew their rep in uk won't be paid same wage..i told them that I should be paid same as the person working in uk since it's almost same job description but they said they'll pay according to country's minimum wage. I told them even a part time pharmacist cant earn such amount..she said Nigerians are obsessed with money..started giving entrepreneurship gospel bla bla..I just kuku lost interest..lol
Salary should not always be ur reason for going for a job...you would miss the hidden treasures within some organizations that are far beyond salary...I left FMC as a Rx and went into academia as Asist. Lecturer. I left academia (when I finished masters and was expecting promotion to Lecturer II) to do HSE at a salary of 60k (less than half d salary of Ass. Lecturer). Some of my Rx colleagues thought I was insane. 6months later, I used the work experience gotten from the 60k job to get another one dat was far better (higher pay) than even a senior lecturer.

If you know your worth you will never settle for less. A U.K. based company that has staff doing same job in the UK as one in Nigeria should not be paying such ridiculous amount. That company wants to capitalize on the unemployment situation in the country as well as graduates' desperation to secure employment.
It may or may not be so as u posit....I did a part-time HSE stuff for a Uk firm for 12 months. I was already working so salary wasn't my priority, I needed to get experience in that aspect of the profession. They offered a salary of 27k Naira and I accepted it. When the appointment letter came, they actually wrote 27k monthly on it.....In the condition of service (booklet) all my benefits were stated there; a lump sum upfront payment, free medicare anywhere in the world, housing allowance, vacation allowance, education grant, productivity allowance, car allowance, gas allowance etc etc. The allowances were very good. They pay allowance at 1st week of the month and 27k salary at month end. There was a very good reason for that small salary (which I can't mention here). Sometimes, it's good to look beyond the salary, there might be some hidden treasures that are concealed from applicants. Applicants at an advanced stage of a recruitment process can put a call to the HR manager (especially foreign firms) and get some vital information to help them make informed decisions.
