hardywaltz: Serves them rite. In Nigeria once u wear uniform it becomes a privilege to harass and intimidate innocent people at the slightest provocation. That's what they do I was driving through Imo state while on a business trip with a friend, while at a traffic light, a combined team of thieves comprising traffic warden, civil defence and police stopped us and jumped into our car accusing us falsely, threatening and demanding for money. They all left their duty post perhaps they don't trust themselves |

I wonder why critics ain't doing this, despite knowing what Nigerians are passing through in recent times He (Sanusi) was busy talking about how POOR, backward, uneducated e.t c northern Nigeria is, ignoring the fact that he was once in government as Governor of CBN, what did he do to improve the lives, mentality and general conditions of his people (northern Nigeria)? The annoying thing is they keep telling me it's not their fault. They have the nerve to have such a list, it also not our fault that we defaulted! Experiencing same, i do wonder what causes the delay, it's as if they have to go to the farthest country from Nigeria to get it done NIMC national id card is another one, i registered since 2013, no card yet in 2017 perhaps by 2023 the card will be ready |

Yksoul: HELLO NIGERIANS,IF THE BATCH B NAMES ARE NOT RELEASED,THEN THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE RELEASE OF BATCH B NAMES IS A SCAM, FALSE AND AN ATTEMPT TO STOP THE PROTEST! Even IF the batch B names are released, it doesn't make any difference NOR does it JUSTIFY the selected names on the first list. The question we should ask ourselves IS "what was the criteria used to select the names listed in Batch A" that made them MORE qualified than others |

SnowJay92: When I read some comments coming from youths in this country, supposed leaders of tomorrow on issues such as this, I shudder. How can someone brazenly justify a third class graduate being considered ahead of a First Class for whatever reason? OK, let's assume for one moment that we have unofficially decided that academic excellence is no longer to be used as a measure of intellectual and moral capacity, why not shortlist everyone that falls into the required field of study, from First Class down to pass and even below, and subject them all to whatever test you feel like is a better criteria for employment and see who comes top. This is the Best comment I have come across on all threads since the list was released. I marvel at why few people reason along this line. What was the criteria used to select the "successful" ones such that WITHOUT ANY FORM OF APTITUDE TEST graduates with lower grades are preferred above those with better grades and even with Masters This present Government "fall my hands" big time, I had hopes that the recruitment will be the most fair one in recent times, I am highly disappointed about the outcome |

neoclassical: I woke up this morning with the news that FCSC has shortlisted lists of successful candidates in the ongoing recruitment exercise by the Commission in various Federal Ministries.
Succinctly, I have a friend who studied Business Administration with 3rd Class, while I have Msc and Bsc (2.1) all in Economics. Both of us applied for the same position (SGL 09) in the Ministry of Trade & Investment. Perhaps, to my greatest perplexity, this guy's name was shortlisted while mine was conspicuously missing. Just a few minutes ago he opened up to me that the father made "some calls" on his behalf prior to this time.
For your information, we are of the same age bracket, applied for same position, from the same State. So what criteria could have been used to disqualify someone with Msc and Bsc (2.1) and someone with a 3rd Class was selected.
Holding other factors constant, I am so happy for him and I am so expectant that mine is coming. But this has kept me in an awe position, as the whole scenario depicts lack of correlation between merit and success in this entity called Nigeria. WHAT A COUNTRY? So help us God! I felt so disappointed too, kept wondering the criteria used So Help Us God!!! |
