I live in California which shares the same borderline with Mexico, since when do I need a passport and Visa to enter there?

He may not be lying though. She has lived with him for 10 months now. I understand that a US citizen cannot stay longer than 6 months without a visa. Also, he said he got her a job before she arrived. This requires documentation which includes a valid visa.
