I can assure you that No one took him serious and no one remembers whatever he said in his boring speech.

And he knows this. This picture with Biden might be his biggest achievement in that summit. If you're told the energy and resources expended by Tinubus team to get this photo ops with world leaders, you will tremble..

The trivials of a wretched presidency of a comatose kwantiri

The exact reason for the fine was not clearly stated in the court order but it is suspected to be linked to one of his numerous lies and blackmailing.

number of local government doesn't determined by population but by land mass as area and Kano is way bigger than Lagos
And how does that even make any sense to you? Why should empty and barren land mass be the basis for local governments? The people in Lagos work their ass out to generate money for the country. What exactly do your land mass contribute?

Huge population means huge social and infrastructural needs. More local governments and more revenue should go to where more people live and not empty land inhabited by cows.

He has even started doing to Abba what he did to Ganduje when he became governor. It’s just a matter of time before the fallout will become public. I will pick Ganduje 1000 times before Kwakwanso.

What are you consuming in the north compared to South? Do your Almajiris have money to buy anything?

See, go and read the law and stop spewing nonsense. The law is giving priority to the area of consumption and not taking anything to any headquarters anywhere. Kano will get the VAT of what is consumed in Kano while Lagos will get the VAT of what is consumed in Lagos. That is what the law is all about.

Politics › Re: There Are Plans From Lagos To Colonise North — Kwankwaso by ALTERNATEID:
Not a bad idea. About time Lagos start flexing its muscles as the powerhouse of Nigeria. Since Kwakwanso has decided to be stupid by flying silly narratives like these, we will indulge him in his stupidity.

The north west in particular has governed Nigeria more than any region but it is still the most backward region in the country. Useless leaders like Kwakwanso who failed their people woefully will always look for who to blame when it seems they have lost out of power at the centre.

If you like, claim that Emir Ado Bayero is from Oba of Lagos palace, it changes nothing. No amount of blackmail will make the FG withdraw police protection from the two Emirs fighting over Kano emirate. Until all the court cases are decided by the Supreme Court, the two will continue to reign over the city. Tinubu did not install any of them. It was political interference in the emirate affairs that led politicians like Kwakwanso and Ganduje to install remove and reinstall different emirs of Kano.

The problem with idiots like Kwakwanso and Atiku is their arrogance. Buhari was president for 8 years and somehow, they think they still have the right to rule Nigeria after Buhari’s presidency. The attempt to always want to disrespect and muscle a southern president into submission has failed terribly. Nigeria does not belong to the north and Mr. President will do everything that is best for the overall good of the country.

And on taxes, he’s just a joker. The tax reform is inevitable and it will pass. You cannot declare beer as haram but want the VAT on beer as halal. We can’t continue like that. All such injustice in the system must be corrected.

He actually conducted an election in 2007 in which Peter Obi was a candidate against Andy Uba of PDP. Obasanjo ensured that Andy Uba won the election before 12noon against an incumbent Peter Obi.
Andy was sworn in as governor on May 29, 2007 but 17 days later, the Supreme Court removed him on the basis that Peter Obi’s initial tenure has not ended.

Sack Mahmood and appoint Maurice Iwu, right? Obasanjo should spare us this holier than thou attitude. It’s simply laughable. Mahmood has greatly improved our electoral system. The number of governorship and senate seats won by the opposition during the last general election says it all. Obasanjo and Maurice Iwu conducted the worst election in Nigeria’s history. He’s in no place to advice anybody about who should be INEC chairman or not.

By what metric did you reach this conclusion? Abi you just dipped a finger in your anus and sniffed it then opened your mouth to spew garbage. The way some of you make yourselves look so stupid is beyond me. If I wasn’t Yoruba, I’d probably think it’s a race thing
If there is an iota of sense in your head, you won’t jump into my mention to spew rubbish when you can clearly see the kind of comment I responded to.

The people of Ondo state unanimously elected someone who took over some few months ago as their substantive governor and someone who has probably never visited Ondo state before rushed out to declare the newly elected governor a failure.

If you think such a person doesn’t deserve my response, you’re actually more slower in the head than I thought.

And yes, Obi was a complete failure as a governor. All indices of assessing the performance of governors points to the fact that he was a complete failure. He can’t even make the first twenty if we are to rate all former governors since 1999. That ipob members and some pockets of misguided youths from the south are supporting him doesn’t mean he did not fail woefully as a governor.

Oya I am here to learn, mention the new sectors not captured in the GDP
When the team of economist and statisticians from NBS, World bank, IMF and WTO are done with the rebasing next year, you will get the answer to your question. For now, shut up and let them do their thing.
Politics › Re: Federal Government To Rebase Gross Domestic Product (GDP) By 2025 by ALTERNATEID: 1:24pm On Nov 17, 2024
Believeintruth:
You are still missing the point and stop lying the GDP was rebased in 2014 not 2010. Also note that you can only rebase if there are no new sectors that were not captured in the last exercise.
Oga stop misleading people you are more of a danger to Nigerians that BH and Bandits.
This pretty much shows your level of ignorance. You don’t even understand what this is all about yet you’re making so much noise ignorantly. Rebasing was last done in 2014 but the calculation was updated from 1990 to 2010 and not 2014.

Even the one that will be done next year will not rebase the country to 2025. They will look at updating the base from 2010 to 2020.

Again, rebasing must be done ideally every five years to update the data to current realities. It doesn’t matter whether haters of Mr. President likes it or not. You can’t sit down in your house without access to any information and be saying there are no new sectors since 2010. That shows how empty you are.
Politics › Re: Federal Government To Rebase Gross Domestic Product (GDP) By 2025 by ALTERNATEID: 12:57pm On Nov 17, 2024
Believeintruth:
Oga I am not hating Tinubu stop being stupid here. The idea is this you rebase a GDP when there are new sectors that were not included when the last GDP was done. Jonathan did that and that was manifest in the new GDP figure. Tinubu wants to use informal sector that you cannot even quantify or measure their performance to rebase the GDP. How does that work? It makes no sense, this was how they recalculated the unemployment rate and miraculously it reduced from 33% to 3% do you know how much of a laughing stock we became internationally when thT figure was released?
My guy leave partisan politics and learn to say the truth not because they pay you to spread propaganda.
It is only someone that is extremely stupid and full of hatred that will be against rebasing after 15 years. If you think we have no new sector since 2010, wait for the data to come out next year. If there is nothing new, nothing new will show.

I don’t understand why you guys are so worked up about this news. Sadly, you haters can’t do anything about it. Every country do this every five years but in Nigeria, our own citizen will go online to oppose it because they hate the president. If Obi is president. will you tell him not to rebase? What kind of nonsense argument is this?
Politics › Re: Federal Government To Rebase Gross Domestic Product (GDP) By 2025 by ALTERNATEID: 12:45pm On Nov 17, 2024
Believeintruth:
The essence of rebasing evey 5 years is to include new sectors. Please mention any new sector in Tinubu's government. They are now trying to add an informal sector that cannot be quantified but at best estimated and we know how fraudulent estimated figures can be.
The problem is that folks like you think everything is all about Tinubu. In 2014 when the Jonathan administration rebased the economy, they updated the base year from 1990 to 2010. Jonathan became acting president in 2010 and was elected as a substantive president in 2011. Yet, he took the glory for moving the economy to number one in Africa as a result of rebasing that covered a period in which he was not the president.

So, your point about Tinubu who became president just last year opening or not opening new sectors is irrelevant. This is about Nigeria and not president Tinubu. We can’t be using a template of 2010 to calculate our GDP in 2025. A whole lot has happened in the 15 years period. At least, let’s rebase to 2020 to reflect all new sectors. If we have no new sectors since 2010 simply because Tinubu became president in 2023, the data will show everything. Stop the hatred and let the government do their thing.
Politics › Re: Federal Government To Rebase Gross Domestic Product (GDP) By 2025 by ALTERNATEID: 8:43am On Nov 17, 2024
It is long overdue. The standard is for the GDP to be rebased every five years but we hardly do the needful in Nigeria till it’s too late.

Today is the Governorship election in Ondo state...

What most people don't know is I'm partly from Ondo, Royal blood of Igbokoda to be precise in ilaje LGA
Not only is my grand mother a princess from Igbokoda, 3 of my aunties are married to Igbokoda men

So I have kin interest in Ondo election's.. It used to be the most well ran elections in Nigeria along with Anambra... These two states usually have nice well conducted elections

From quality of candidates, to debates to the electorate making of choices

But honestly No one seems to care about today elections, Twitter, Facebook, even here no one cares just very few news... Is this the sign that Nigerians have lost hope in INEC completely ?

What ever it is this is a very bad sign , People loosing hope in electoral system always comes before the collapse of the nation

It's sad
There is no much noise about Ondo State election because it’s a one way ride to the state house for APC. PDP is dead in the state and your useless LP has no candidate due to the internal crisis caused by Peter Obi.

So, the opposition who should be challenging the incumbent party should have themselves to blame for failing woefully to put up a serious contest. APC will not help PDP and LP to put their houses in order. Congratulations to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and all supporters of APC. It’s been two governorship election victories in a row. This is victory for democracy.

Ordinary Lagos governorship Lagos you said? Lagos state governorship is not ordinary. It is a Yoruba state that will be ruled by Yoruba people. Ben Akabueze and lots of others have been appointed into cabinet positions in Lagos without anyone showing appreciation from the east. And by the way, nobody stopped Chinedu Gbadebi from contesting in Lagos. He contested and lost. Tinubu is doing exactly what every of these noisemakers have been asking for since 1999. He's restructuring the country and giving power to the Local government and states. He has created a regional development commission for every region and he's about to revolutionize tax collection and revenue sharing. Power generation and distribution has now been decentralized and states can now seek for investment to improve power supply in their states without going through the national grid. Subsidies have been removed on petrol and partially on electricity and student loan plus consumer credit is now a reality. Still, a lot of foolish southerners especially folks from the other region are too blinded and consumed by hate to see what he is doing.
