Considering the level of closeness between Odia and Achebe, it is very possible that Achebe handed a copy to him with the instruction not to ever publish it. Whatever the case, Achebe did the truth a big blow by failing to publish Emma's script. The book would have offered a lot of clarity as to lots of gray areas about the coup. Most importantly, it would have put a lie to the popular believe that Nzeogwu was the leader of coup when in reality, Emma was the leader.

Edo PDP's case is similar to Peter Obi's case against Tinubu's election. They couldn't produce a single evidence of rigging or wrongdoing so there is no need for INEC to waste time and be calling witness to defend allegations that were not even proved by the petitioner.

The Edo governorship election has been won and lost. The ongoing case is nothing but an academic exercise.

El-Rufai crossed the line by attacking Nuhu Ribadu, his long time friend and Muslim brother. Ribadu never attacked him or speak negatively of him.
