Politics / Re: Obasanjo Is A Father To Me And I Am His First Political Son - GEJ by Amacaco: 4:20pm On Feb 21, 2015
Legally speaking, Obasanjo is still a member of PDP. Neither the Nigerian constitution nor the PDP constitution or even the electoral Act says that one can resign from a party by tearing his Membership card. Until he formally resigns or his expulsion is duly ratified by the appropriate organs of the party, he is still a member of PDP. Obasanjo is only being melodramatic.
Politics / Re: Court: No Troops For Elections by Amacaco: 3:15pm On Jan 30, 2015
I think this is a good development. All the soldiers in Borno, Adamawa, Nassarawa and other insurgency and Bomb prone areas should be withdrawn during the elections and redeployed after the elections provided no one blames the President for whatever happens. Anger should be directed at the Judge who gave the Judgement.

Politics / Re: Buhari Refusal To Participate In Debate Shocks Supporters by Amacaco: 8:02am On Jan 30, 2015
I was in my second year in the university when Buhari was Head of State and I can certainly say that Idiagbon was the substantive Head of State while Buhari was the figure head. The only visible policy of Government then was the War against Indiscpline(WAI). The economy was in shambles and Public servants, especially teachers were being owed several months arrears of Salaries. My father, who was a teacher, was finding it difficult to pay our school fees because they were being owed arrears of salaries. It was then the idea of "checking out" of Nigeria became prominent.

Crime / Re: True Confession: How Her Father Disvirgined & Threw Her Out by Amacaco: 9:42am On Jan 29, 2015
Before anyone deceives you, your case is purely spiritual. You need deliverance. It is not everyone that can do that for you and once the evil spirit is dealt with you will be totally free. If the Son shall set you free, you shall be free indeed. After deliverance, there must be a determination and resolve on your part to stay away from any friend, environment, books, music, website, films and videos that remind you of your past life but get focused on God's word, prayers and things that promote a Godly life. You seriously need that.
Politics / Re: Buhari Was Our Classmate In 1961– Umar Abdullahi, Coomassie by Amacaco: 9:34am On Jan 22, 2015
We know Buhari went to secondary school. We also know he had classmates. We know too he was the head boy and played football. But what the constitution requires as proof of having attended secondary school for purposes of the forthcoming election is a certificate and not a statement of result. Until that provision is satisfied, Buhari is only qualified to contest in the said election by virtue of the fact that he had served in the army for a minimum of ten years as required by the constitutional provision. Without an original certificate,a certified true copy from Cambridge University WAEC, or a true photocopy of any of these, he has done an irreparable damage to his reputation and credibility even if he wins.
Politics / Re: Buhari's School Certificate: How Real? by Amacaco: 4:08am On Jan 22, 2015
The statement of Result that is shown on the net does not show the person who signed it and his grade in the whole exam. By the way, the certificate we are talking about is the personal property of Buhari and only him can apply for a certified true copy of his certificate from waec. That is the right thing to do instead of this unsatifactory SR.
Politics / Re: Katsina College Releases Buhari’s WASC Results by Amacaco: 10:16pm On Jan 21, 2015
What grade did Buhari make in this result. I know that before 1981, results were graded into 1,2,3 and S.R. Does this Statement of result by Katsina Ministry of Education in 2012 replace his certificate of 1961. Why did he swear a false affidavit if he could have obtained a statement of result easily? The constitution talks of a certificate and not a statement of Result. Though Buhari is qualified to contest the Presidential election by virtue of the exceptions in the constitution on qualifications of a presidential candidate, the way he handled the certificate saga is not presidential but shows ineptitude.

Politics / Re: Army Has Buhari’s Academic Records, But Not Original Copies Of His Certificates by Amacaco: 9:36pm On Jan 03, 2015
Buhari swore an affidavit that his certificates are with the army office. But from the report here, the original certificates are not with the army but only records which are forms filled by him and photocopies of his certificates. INEC wants to keep records of his educational qualifications just as the Army also kept their own record. Jonathan's academic records can be found in all the places he worked and served but that did not stop him from providing his academic records to INEC and presenting the originals for sighting. The same thing goes for Buhari unless we are being told there is a law forbidding army officers from presenting their credentials to "bloody" civilians. He should do the needful.

Politics / Re: Jonathan's Declaration On 11-11-2014 Has Occultic Significance - Chris Okotie by Amacaco: 4:31pm On Dec 26, 2014
By Okotie's postulation, any person born on that date or anything done by anyone on that date has occultic significance. I used to think that God created the seven days of the week and the whole universe for his own glory. So 11/11/2014 has now become occult day and nothing about God or man can be done on that date. I have no doubt now in my mind that Chris is now Occultic.
Politics / Re: Jonathan’s N21.27bn Campaign War Chest: Lawyers Demand PDP, Donors’ Trial by Amacaco: 5:19am On Dec 24, 2014
The donations were made to PDP as a party and not to a candidate. PDP is not a candidate as provided in the Act. All over the world, parties are funded through donations from members and interest groups. These lawyers should know better. But there are playing to the gallery.

My understanding is that the donations are for PDP as a party and parties are funded through donations since it is not a business organisation. The law referred to talks of individuals and PDP is not an individual.

Ask any lawyer and he will tell you there is a difference between corruption and stealing. Charge a man for stealing instead of corruption and you are bound to fail. In the same vein if you charge a thief with corruption, you are bound to lose the case. Corruption is corruption in law and stealing is stealing in law. You cannot use one for the other. Jonathan was being strictly legalistic which I believe was wrong for a politician of his status.
Education / Re: History Of Fuel Price Increases In Nigeria. by Amacaco: 3:27am On Dec 17, 2014
What is not clear from this post by op is how Gowon increased the pump price from 6k to 8.45k. Do we have any other denomination lower than the kobo? If the 8.45k is N8.45k, why was the price still 9k when Murtala was in power. The same question goes for the prices and increments from Murtala's tenure to Babangida. However my calculations show the following percentages for some of the increments:
Shonekan- 614%
Obasanjo(1999)- 275%
Babangida - 250%
Jonathan - 49%
But I am inclined to believe that more have been done under Jonathan than any of those listed above. Buhari who did not do any increment during his tenure was the chief beneficiary of the increment under Abacha through the PTF.
Politics / Re: Yaradua Wanted Ribadu To Marry His Daughter, Obasanjo Says by Amacaco: 1:43pm On Dec 10, 2014
What I decipher and conclude from Obasanjo's book and writings is that he is a man who listens to gossips and rumors flying around him. Most of the contents of his book were more of hearsay from people who ran to him with fabricated stories of perceived enemies, opponents and even friends of the the former president in order to curry favour and be in his good books. These stories were meant to boost his ego and he fell for them accepting them as true facts. Obasanjo should address economic, social and political issues which are the outcome of his knowledge and experience as former head of state. He should address the various unsolved murders that took place during his tenure especially that of his Minister for Power chief Bola Ige. We want to know his response to the corruption in the Petroleum sector during his tenure and how he became a multi billionaire just after eight years on the seat of power. Anything short of these issues is a complete waste of time.

Politics / Re: Obasanjo Finished Atiku In His Book (if True, Atiku's Political Career Is Over!) by Amacaco: 6:47am On Dec 09, 2014
Obasanjo considers himself the "God' of Nigeria who is flawless, knows all, dictates all, and gratiously grants the country and its citizens favours. He does not see any wrong or evil in himself but sees that of others. Atiku planned on how to become the President of Nigeria without taking him (the Nigerian "God") into consideration and for that reason he dealt with him. Jonathan wants to go for another term when He has not "divinely" ordained it and so he must do everything to stop him. These arrogation of power which he does not have will one day kill him. He should go and rest.

@Omenka: Pls note that the price of oil at the international market and the No of vehicles in in Nigeria in 2011 have continued to rise and and cannot be the same in 2013 or 2014. Simple economics and mathematics should tell you that subsidy payments will definitely increase. What the government is saying that there is no need for these payments as such huge amount of money could be diverted to more beneficial areas.

Please help me,which part of the constitution provides that the speaker should be provided with security detail. I used to think it was the prerogative of the President as the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces to provide or not to provide security details of government officials. Tambuwal has lost his position as a member of the house legally and constitutionally immediately he defected. Every other thing he is doing now is maga-maga.
Sports / Re: Pinnick And Giwa: Who Should Be In Charge Of Nff And Nigerian Football? by Amacaco: 9:50pm On Oct 27, 2014
What is most disturbing to me is that we have few weeks to play the remaining Afcon qualification matches and the Judiciary appointed NFF board has continued to bring confusion and truncate the plans of Amodu Shuaibu and his team in the preparations for the Afcon qualifiers. Recalling Keshi to continue to tinker the team will bring disaster to our football. I appeal to these men to let our football be.
Sports / Pinnick And Giwa: Who Should Be In Charge Of Nff And Nigerian Football? by Amacaco: 4:05pm On Oct 26, 2014
For some months, the football House and Nigerian football in general have been in one crisis or the other which had also made FIFA to almost ban Nigeria from international football. The court in Jos has not been helpful in this respect as they have allowed themselves to be used to kill Nigerian Football. The Government has kept quiet to avoid being accused by FIFA of interfering in football. At the end of the Day, football lovers, young footballers and all of us who have interest in the development of football in this country are the losers because of the greed of these people. My question then is who do we want to lead the NFF and Nigerian football? This is an opportunity for football lovers here to take their stand and position on this issue. As for me , I want Pinnick and his Board to continue. Giwa and co should go and rest. What do you think?
Nairaland / General / Re: FG To Ban Commercial Motorcycles Nationwide by Amacaco: 7:26am On Oct 26, 2014
Commentators on this issue should understand that this was a decision of the National Council on Transport which comprises all the commissioners, Directors of transport and other stakeholders in the transport industry from the 36 states of the Federation and Abuja including APC and PDP states. So those blaming or praising the Federal government on this should know it is a collective decision of all the states.

Is there no one who can call these clowns to order? Must our football be destroyed by Giwa and his group before something is done? Whose interest are they pursuing? I thought that majority of football lovers want Stephen Keshi to go if we are to move forward in our football. Why are they reversing this decision supported by Nigerians. Where are the Football Supporters club when our football is being raped and ravished by greedy, selfish, unpatriotic individuals. Enough is enough and those who should do something ought to do so now before the final Fifa ban. A word is enough for the wise.

The supreme court's decision is appropriate. It simply means that even his contributions to debates and actions as a member of the House were null and void and of no effect as his stay in the house was wrong ab initio. Secondly, it will teach politicians a lesson that as long as they rig themselves into office, it will cost them financially. No one wants to lose money and will this curtail their electoral excesses.

The various Discos should just provide the Prepaid meters and the light and stop all these unnecessary complaints and excuses. It is unfair and wicked to bill outrageously for power not used just because you want to keep these companies in business. Majority of Nigerians always pay for their power bills if properly done. We should not use the criminally minded ones to judge the rest of good and wonderful Nigerians.

Family / Re: BEATING YOUR KIDS; Discipline Or Abuse? by Amacaco: 9:02am On Oct 23, 2014
You use different methods to discipline a child depending on the age of the child. Flogging, scolding, denying a child what he likes most, stopping his pocket money, doing addtional house chores, etc are ways of disciplining a child. All methods should be used interchangeably and moderately without bitterness and anger. I also control what I open my mouth to say because as a father whatever I say to my children will come to pass. So I do not punish or talk to my children when I am so angry at them.If I do, I will likely wound them. I do so when my anger has subsided and let them know that they are held responsible for any misbehaviour. As far as I am concerned, any Child that is not discplined or flogged is a danger to himself and society. Well, anyone can do whatever he likes with his children.

Politics / Re: What State Is The Most Backward State In Nigeria? by Amacaco: 9:20pm On Oct 18, 2014
As I read the various comments, I wonder the basis of such comparisons. States that were created in 1967, 1976, 1987, are used to compare with states that were created in 1991 and 1996 with little or no take-off grants. Even South East states that have been neglected since after the war by the Federal Government are being compared to those states that have been benefiting from Federal presence and patronage. If we look at developments in the South East, most of the infrastructure were provided by the people themselves through community development and self-help efforts. That is why most rural communities in Igboland are well developed as they have all the basic amenities which are not seen in many states. More than 95% of all the communities in Ebonyi State have electricity and therefore should not be in the list.

For about a week now, I have found it extremely difficult to check my mtn night bundle data balance inspite of having made up to 30 attempts. Current bundle is due to expire on the 11th of October but I had to do another bundle on the 3rd of October to be sure it is renewed. As at now, no text or message has been received from mtn and when I send 2 to 131 nothing happens even though I am still browsing. So let this error be corrected. I want to know my data balance. The number is 08162146528.
