See this quack doctor that probably was allowed to graduate out of pity because he has spent uncountable years in school. So you compare nurses with artisans, laborers and masons? It is the likes of this quack doctor that encourage quackry in the nursing profession by training the so called auxiliary nurses and give them white uniform to wear with red and blue pens in their breast pocket. Doctors are actually the problem in our health institutions.

Firstly I always thought that pharmacist role is drug production ( excise my ignorance) so how come you want to treat me? You sound certain of your argument. And that I understand, I have always believed life and death are in the doctors hands. When you say subacute or chronic I have no idea what that means.

All I ask is that can I be sure if I go see my pharmacist where u buy medication I can be certain without a doubt that there would be no errors.

I need to know. Educate us cos doctors are making expensive errors. At no cost to them

It's a shame. But Nigerian Medicine will surely enter a state of emergency, trust me. The new push at which Doctors are running out, the remaining doctors would be "Johesu Doctors" who would treat typhoid and malara from morning till night.

I weep for this Country. Consultancy for what?, for getting old and close to retirement. Patients will be further Decieved and will die like fowls. A Pharmacist sees a naïve patients, instead of claiming to be a pharmacist, will say I am a consultant, the gullible patient, thinking he means medical specialist may end that session is morbidity or mortality. Shame really, but we are in a confirmed shit hole though.

If pharmacists are after money, the hospital is the last place they will look. They have no idea how much money there is in pharmacy.

The problem is that you don't know other roles of the pharmacists in the hospital setting outside handing out dispensed drugs to patients.

Do you know that some drugs are prepared right there in the pharmacy department?? Do you know that you don't just hand out a drug to a patient, you counsel the patient and follow up his/her treatment by ensuring adherence to the prescription.
Do you know that pharmacists are supposed to go on rounds in the hospital to monitor in-patients on how they respond to drug therapy?? Afterwards, they communicate with the physicians on possible adjustments to be made??

Your ignorance is why many patients keep dying avoidable deaths in our hospitals due to drug misuse. How i wish pharmacists would begin to point out numerous prescription blunders physicians make in our hospitals to the public, may be then you would get to know their importance in the hospitals. But they would rather cover up your aszes.
