coolscott: I have mentioned here in the past, how traditionally emotionally unstable the igbo mind is.
Which is why he is the only one that tried to claim Lagos (a whole Lagos) is their own.
Igala's were there.
Efiks have been there.
Ijaws have been there.
Nupes have been there
Kanuris live there
But none of them was mad enough to smear themselves with the dishonourable attempt of a such a claim.
How shameful it is, I doubt that they do know.
I am many times happy when the attention of the Igbos is on others (westerners and northerners) but unfortunately, being as unstable as they are, their attention has proven every now and then to stroll down south (South-south region, land of the Ijaws and others) for the expression of their misdemeanours.
I am happy that on Nairaland posts can always be recalled and so I dedicate this thread to reminding the Igbos why and when they should keep quiet (and look inwards) when other ethnic groups are speaking.
First Whereas the white man had to pay our Ijaw kings and chiefs a tax in order to do business in our area, the white man was the one who created (and installed) warrant chiefs for the igbo man in many parts, so that there would be some local leadership structure with which to execute their indirect rule by the time colonialism began.
Are these the kind of people that should not know when to be humble, look inward and know how to help themselves from within?
In as much as it is the white man that created your chiefs for you, please, please, and please...
Don't suffer the rest of us (whether Yoruba, Ibibio or Ijaw) with your delusions of joining your non-existent historical legacy with our intact ones. Ogogoro drunkards have no history. Go and sandfill ur swampy underdeveloped ijaw land before talking about Igbos. Even if the Igbos sleep for 1000years,ijaws can never catch up to us, We are naturally superior. So keep shut . The only man being celebrated in una pathetic history is jaja of opobo who is Igbo , Apart from him, nobody. You lots are very irrelevant to the world. Who know una in Lagos, tell me one ijaw investment in Lagos? Lol, Lagos is not Kai Kai joint . Igbos and yorubas relate well In the outside world, so shalap. And who knows una king? Tell me one ijaw king that is up to Obi of onitsha in popularity? No ijaw king has ever been a chancellor of a university in the federal system, that is to show you that you lots are not relevant but our obi and some Igwes are chancellors. We are ahead of una, you think that sabo during Biafra will make una ahead of Igbos? Miserable lots. |

Very stupid thread. I came out of the University a virgin, whether you wanna believe it or not. Feminism penetrated me deeply that I saw sex in the University days as something derogatory to me as a girl. I just focused on my books, kept a few no-sex relationship and graduated in flying colors . Don't understand this hype over sex. Be careful of stds! |

Politics › Re: Should Patients Consult Pharmacists? by Amarabae(f): 9:48am On Feb 15, 2018 |
Why do some Nigeria doctors behave like people with inferiority complex? So a pharmacist who is trained in medical drugs can't prescribe drugs, The funny fact is that pharmacists are better drug prescribers than docs, I say this with experience being a health worker. Some greedy Nigeria doctors want to dominate every field in the health sector ,which is impossible. Leave pharmacist alone and face your job, he/she knows is trained in drug stuff as long he knows the health history of the patient he is attending to in his pharmacy. |

Culture › Re: I Am 'Osu', My Girlfriend's Parents Rejected Me Because Of That - Man Reveals by Amarabae(f): 7:30pm On Feb 14, 2018 |
The parents are backward in thinking. Osu is a practice in SOME part of Igboland that has faded away, Only Ignorant people make a big thing out of it. There is nothing like osu, the Ancient Arochukwu people invented that stuff to deceive people and have an easy access to people to sell off as slaves back then. They were civilized then and many Igbo communities hire them as judges, those who the law is against were casted away and they become osu, In the night, the aros through their Abam warrior mercenaries will come and kidnap those people and sell them to the white man.
The guy should try another girl pls. What a handsome young man. |

Greenback: This is kinda absurd, lagos is a complex cosmopolitan city that attracts potential undergraduates from the entire nation.
shame on you,cos you paved the way for others to start attacking the Igbos otherwise, what the hell has the igbos gotta do with the law,is your thread/topic about the Igbos? Why did you have to bring the Igbos into this thread and pave way for others to start a tribal war? Are Igbos the only non yorubas in Lagos? Only a few lines of your opener is focus on the topic and the bulk of it is on Igbos. Now every poster is commenting about the Igbos. And besides,i dont see how this will negatively affect the Igbos who are resident,in their thousands,in Lagos as most Igbo kids are very fluent in the yoruba language,so whats the fuss all about? Seun lalasticlala oam4j,this thread is misleading. Yes I involved Igbos because we are the ones carrying it on head like gala both in twitter, instagram, nairaland. Most Igbo kids are fluent in Yoruba but cannot say bia in Igbo, so I should clap or prepare ofe nsala to celebrate it? |

EternalTruths: Nonsense
The culture you have today is European blend.
If we apply Yoruba logic, we would have being backward today.
Allow all peaceful cultures in our midst to strive and watch our civilization grow. It is European blend due to colonization, Nobody colonized Ethiopians yet are they backward? How can you be interested in other cultures thriving except your own? |
