Hi everyone, a newbie here and I want to appreciate all contributions you all have made with regards to information sharing and the likes.
I must say I have spent the past two days reading back after I have been postponing embarking on this journey for almost a year now.
I would like to start off the process by verifying my results (OND, HND and a professional certificate) with WES and I would appreciate any guidance I can get in order not to make any mistakes. I understand that this journey may still be long and would require the highest level of patience so I am hoping for the best.

ICES timeline is 20+ weeks. WES is 7 weeks from when documents are accepted (not when received). CES is 12 weeks. There are two other ECA bodies.

Foreign work experience in the context of EE = work experience outside Canada. You will need to choose an NOC that matches closely to what you do, and then apply with similar documents to what a self-employed person would use.

You can try calling or sending them a message on Twitter. Sometimes that can spur them to be faster. But it's not guaranteed sha.

It depends on the requirements of the PNP. I know Sask can be particular about matching what you studied to your work experience. Others are not picky at all.

But for regular Express Entry, it doesn't matter at all.

Does it matter if what you studied in school is not the same with what the person is doing? She has over 5years experience and She's going through PNP route because of age .

If you are the PA you can enter the pool with your own ECA as long as you have a valid IELTS result as well. Once he gets his, you can update.

Please if you have anyone in canada to receive your document ces is still the best, it's just like WES in most categories and won't even request for WAEC/NECO but won't send your scanned copy

If you did your degree in Nigeria, you need to include WAEC. The school should send your transcript. You can fax a photocopy of your certificate.

You will see it in your profile when the documents are accepted. If verification is required, or if the documents are not accepted, you will see it.

The profile was updated twice, first when they got my Transcript I guess then second when they got the WAEC I guess too.

The reference letter is important. You can ask for the letter to be addressed to "To Whom It May Concern" if you are worried about your potential immigration plans leaking.

No, it starts from when the documents are accepted by them. You can check this from your profile

Check and recheck those forms. For personal history, be sure that there are no gaps over the last ten years. Not even a month. You may need to delete and start over if you can't find it. Make sure you save and exit.

If all checks and rechecks fail, clear cache or change browsers.

Please I’m having an issue in filling the forms.
I’ve imputed all info as per personal history. I got to the part that asks about “if you’ve filled all regarding military, government and organization” I selected No because I never belonged to any” it allows me move to the next stage which is travel history and further to statutory questions. But once I click on save and exit, it takes me the tab were all forms are listed and for personal history, it shows in progress, I click it open and I see that it’s the personal history tab that’s incomplete. I’m stuck here as I don’t know what the issue is..

No need to complete the year.

But keep in mind that 3 years working experience gives you max points pre ITA. So you can choose to use only the current job of over 3 years to claim points pre ITA. However, when you are post ITA you can list the new upcoming job in personal history (assuming you take the offer).
