Try going (in person) to the Ministry of Youth or whichever ministry handles adoption in your state of residence. Talk to them and see if that age thing is followed strictly. Don't just go with what you see online. They might be able to give you relevant information. At least you will know you've exhausted all options.

r4blessing:
I just saw that bit online when I was trying to fill the form with them

You can't apply or express interest to Alberta or Ontario for PNP. They have to select you from the pool and send you a notification of interest.

Sask accepts applications.

However, I think you should still do either IELTS or ECA for hubby or rewrite if you can. IELTS for either or both of you will be faster than PNP.

Is the 455 for spouse accompanying?

Rence22:
Happy Sunday and our Muslim landers, happy Eid El Kabir
I am thinking of the PNP ROUTE. Because of my score at 455. Re-writing ielts to max the score is 50-50, remarking too is 50-50. I sincerely don't feel like doing it again. So I am thinking of expressing my interest for Alberta province and if it doesn't come as early as I expect, I will show interest for Saskatchewan. My first and second degrees: Mass Communication. My Saskatchewan PNP is 63 and the cut off is 60. It's just that I prefer Ontario or Alberta.
With this, I won't even have to wait for my hubby's ECA or ielts but it would reduce my crs score.

Please what do you think about this route.

Legal adoption is the only way, unfortunately. Have you been to the Ministry in person and they said you are too young?

r4blessing:
Hi, please I have a 5 year old niece that I would like to include in my application but I can't adopt her, as I'm still single and way below the age limit that is required for adoption in Nigerian (for single). Is there any other thing I can do? I tried contacting the lady on page 1 that adopted but no response

Depends. How high is your CRS score with / without the evaluation? Most people evaluate the degree(s) of the spouse to add points. But it is not required.

Jayne07:
Hello house, I want to ask if my husband is the primary applicant, do I still need to do the WES evaluation?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 6:19pm On Aug 10, 2019
You can list the same thing as current and intended. No issues.

You can list the new job in your personal history (post ITA) after your nomination and ITA. If you put it in your EE profile, you will need a recommendation letter + applicable supporting documents to back it up. So leave it for personal history.

misspriceless:
hello everyone,
please, I have a question. I got LOI from Alberta with noc code 1241 and I am trying to fill the forms, is it advisable to write administrative assistant as current and intended occupation since that is the noc code I got my LOI from? my current occupation is different and I just started the ending of last month so I can't even get any letter or payslip from my current job.

Timelines are on their websites.

REDBULL1:
Which ECA body is the quickest? Between WES and IQAS?

Please guys don't be offended about my question. I did my eca a long while ago so I'm not sure what's obtainable now.

THANKS

NYSC is allowed so long as it was done within the last ten years and within NOC A, B or 0. Many people have used NYSC and have gotten PPR.

Do you have any other certificate? Has your spouse evaluated his Msc?

Rence22:
Ielts LRWS- 8777 I have to do it again o. Crs is 437. 32 by August 14
Married, spouse accompanying 2 years of work experience with MSC. I think my work experience is bringing me down.
If I max all the IELTS and combine my nysc teaching experience and my current job which is University lecturing since both of them are in the same NOC, my crs is going to be 467 but if I use the current 8777 with 3 years of work experience my CRS would be 455.
Please help a crying sister. What do you think.

What is your CRS and how close are you to getting ITA? This should determine when you should try to schedule your medicals.

You can just call or email the clinic. Google Q Life Family Clinic Lagos.

PLSHELEP:
Please explain how i can do the medicals before receiving the ITA. I hear there's a 1 month waiting list for qlife family clinic. I would like to sort it all out in less than 2 weeks, only thing i'll wait for is police report.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 12:22pm On Aug 09, 2019
You need to pick up the paper results (Test result form/TRF). It has a reference number which you will need to enter the pool.

Congrats on a good score!

Rence22:
Na wah o. I wrote the 27 July IELTS Idp and was wondering when results would be out so I checked the British council Ielts results and a page opened: Online Registration System. Requesting for my information. After entering the details my results came out as LRWS 8777. But there is a disclaimer that the result is provisional and should not be used as an official confirmation of my achievement bla bla bla.
Please what do I do now.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 4:41pm On Aug 07, 2019
Congrats to those who will get ITA today. Remember, it can take up to 24 hours to land in your account if you're sure you're above the cutoff ooo.

Please don't let Ifeoma77 be right again smiley
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 4:39pm On Aug 07, 2019
Don't do medicals yet. Too early. Do ECA and IELTS and enter the pool first. The medicals is only valid for a year...you want to do this close to when you are sure of ITA.

adigun183:
no i dont. my purpose of asking is so i can simultaneously do the medicals (if possible) and profile at the same time frame
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 4:37pm On Aug 07, 2019
You can still enter the pool if you have your own ECA and IELTS. You may now put him as accompanying. Then you can update when his own ECA and IELTS (as applicable) are ready.

Abi is it congrats I should be saying for the change of heart? grin

Rence22:
Thanks very much. It hasn't been easy but God surely intervened. I had given up then one Monday evening while the family was in front of TV, he asked if he could still join. I was full of laughter inside my mind and didn't bring it out incase the ego in him changes his mind again. That's how it's been. I am supposed to enter the pool as ielts and eca results would be out roughly the same time but now, I am going to be chilling for another three months or thereabout.
Thanks.

Do you have any other work experience that is at least a year? You can use the 11 month one, but probably not by itself.

December30:
wow, thank you so much. I have a place where my NOC fits about 95% of my JD but I only worked there for eleven months. Pls can i chat with you privately? Thank you
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 3:21pm On Aug 07, 2019
Not likely. If you know French, why not write TEF or TCF and get the extra thirty something points instead?

Lukina4real:
Does WES evaluate Alliance Francais Diploma.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 3:05am On Aug 07, 2019
Use hellofax to fax it to them for free. Include your reference number.

kennyfem:
Please what can I do I tot my school sent my degree certificate along with my transcript, but now wes is asking for my degree certificate.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 3:04am On Aug 07, 2019
Possible. You'll apply for appropriate visas for them all and pay necessary fees. If immigration approves, they can go.

jaybros:
can a person apply for postgraduate studies in canada and go there with her hubby(works abroad monthly rotation) and two kids?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 5:48pm On Aug 06, 2019
For regular EE, cousins don't count for the extra 15 points. Unless you are doing PNP.

lami88:
Good day all, please I have a cousin in Canada. Does that count as a blood relative. I want to use it to add more points to mine.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 5:45pm On Aug 06, 2019
Stay in the pool with 455. You never know - you may possibly get ITA by October ending (I said may o - I am not CIC please).

When is your IELTS expiring?

Otherwise you should just wait till your Master's results are out.

Keluma:
Good afternoon nairalanders, tnx for your help so far, this forum has been so helpful, pls I have some questions to ask which I would like to get honest answers to.
My husband is non accompanying and my CRS is 455 presently, I'm about completing my MSc which I believe Wil give me additional 15points on completion (weft December). My IELTS expires December, how do I increase my CRS looking at the recent draws,,
NB- my husband didn't write IELTS or did ECA. He's not just interested in the while thing
Tnx for your apt response

https://www.nairaland.com/4180147/all-canadian-provincial-nominee-programs

https://moving2canada.com/pnp-canada-live-tracker/

You guys will need to research the jobs in demand in each of the provinces. Links above are only a guide.

LagosismyHome:
Thanks a million , i appreciate ......... I look into the provinces idea. Do you know the thread for that
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 1:45pm On Aug 06, 2019
Simulate their CRS points using the tool on page one. You (and the cousin) should spend time on page one first.

Their points may not be high enough for regular EE, even with the younger person as the primary applicant. They should check if any of their work experiences/past jobs are in demand in any of the provinces.

LagosismyHome:
A cousin of mine wants to migrate to Canada.... so i came here to spy the process... lol.

Its all so confusing with information overload......lol grin. Don't know if i am even on the right thread

Quick question, can a couple age 36 and 40 with first degree only be able to migrate to Canada on express entry or PN ...thanks
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 7:06pm On Aug 04, 2019
You can use more than one NOC. There is no restriction.

However, at least one of the work experiences must be for a minimum of 12 months.

JWhite2Deep:
Hello Chygoz3, did you get any response to this question?

I have similar scenario and need answers too. Please house anyone with a help on this?

Regards.

Mention him in your application as a dependent child. Even if he is not accompanying you now. He will need to do medicals and you will need to have enough funds to cover him.

Makes it easier to bring him in the future.

If he is under 18 when you decide to bring him in the future, his mother will need to consent.

australiandream:
So guys in PR application how does one handle a kid out of wedlock?

I had a kid with my Ex some years back.. How easy will it be for me to bring him to Canada after I get my PR/citizenship
