Politics / Re: Pastors Fight Peter Obi Because He'll Solve Problems Bringing People To Church by ambassadorsam(m): 4:02pm On Jun 22
I bet he didn't get Bishop Abioye's message advising the congregation. I quote, "I won't vote for somebody who will slaughter me."

Politics / Re: Pat Utomi: Muslim-Muslim Ticket Is Not A Hindrance To Good Leadership by ambassadorsam(m): 3:37pm On Jun 22
I agree, religion is not a hindrance. However, such an idea cannot work in a highly religious country like ours.
Is there no single Christian in the whole of Northern Nigeria for equal representation?
Despite being a Christian, a Christian-Christian ticket is a no-no for me.

There is nothing that can guarantee APC's defeat more than a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Kagame Deports 18 Chinese Investors For Mistreating Rwandan Employees by ambassadorsam(m): 6:10pm On Jun 14
I don't think the repatriation claim is true.

As a side note, employees should be treated with love and kindness to maximize their productivity.

Religion / Re: Pastor Shows Up In A Church With A Gun (Video) by ambassadorsam(m): 7:13pm On Jun 12
pamo23:
Vote Peter Obi And Ahmed Musa as President And Vice President of Federal Republic of Nigeria

Although funny, this combo is excellent. Football is one thing that connects all tribes and ethnic groups in Nigeria and fortunately, many youths (both Christians & Muslims) love Musa for various reasons.

If you are aspiring for an international MSc by scholarship and working abroad, go for a STEM course.

As a non-STEM graduate outside Nigeria, I wish I had studied a STEM course.

Best wishes.
Crime / Re: Blasphemy: What Is The Position Of The Law? by ambassadorsam(m): 12:44pm On May 15
Tell me why Nigerians should not vote by religion? Let's all get our PVC ready. Enough of entrusting our lives into the hands of leaders who see us differently.

Family / Re: My Dad Almost Killed Me Today! by ambassadorsam(m): 11:52pm On May 05
1. If this happened between you and our biological father, bros, check yourself too.
2. I understand your dad's concern for you and hence he is doing everything possible in his capacity to prevent his son from joining the dreaded 'Yahoo boy' society.
3. Can someone mistake your dressing, character, or hairstyle for that of a yahoo boy. I am not defending your dad but I want to assume all the outburst of anger from your dad results from accumulated actions/reactions which he must have bottled up all along. Can your dad attest to your commitment to God? At least that should allay his fears and give him insights into what his son can do or cannot do.
3. Rather than take the phone, you should have asked your stepmom to plead and get it for you. Or wait patiently until your dad releases it to you. Assuming your enemy was robbed, and the phone stolen, would your enemy die? I hope you get the message.
4. Rather than return the phone yourself, you could have given your step mom 'codedly'. I'm sure she will know how to save you from the situation.
5. In my culture, you do not talk back at your dad in a heated conversation like you described. You could have remain mute, take all the insults, and then meet him in a time when he is calm and respectfully absolve yourself from any wrongful accusations.
6. In life, if you must exit a place, strive to leave on a good note. I advise you return soon, get his respected friends, settle the matter. Afterwards, you can move out with his blessings as soon as you have the wherewithal to cater for yourself.
7. In whatever you do to your parents, ask yourself, "how will I feel if my child does the same?"
8. Once again, check yourself!

Peace!!

Career / Re: My Sister Seeks Your Advice by ambassadorsam(m): 6:23pm On Feb 07
Hello,
By asking that question on NL, I don't think you did anything wrong. I believe you love her and want the best for her, thus your question.
One op has summed it up above. This is just an addition.
1. Your sister should identify four of her favorite secondary school subjects.
2. Find JAMB brochure online and identify university courses with the four subject combination (I believe English is mandatory).
3. With the list of courses, you can ask questions such as industry opportunities, international MSc scholarship opportunities, and so forth.
The subject she chooses must be one in which she can score highly in the UTME. It is my belief that if she can write JAMB herself and get high scores, she will cope with the selected course at university.

Best wishes.
Romance / Re: My Neighbor Has Finally Chilled With The Big Boys.. PICS!! by ambassadorsam(m): 1:14am On Feb 03
1. Something is fishy about the bf (although no evidence yet)
2. The love of money is the root of all evil.
3. What an elder sees while sitting, a child doesn't see it. All hands must be on deck to save our brothers & sisters from the evildoers. Let's do our part by not concealing the 'so-called secrets' of these unsuspecting innocent young folks.

I thought the company publicized her 'recruitment' ad just for 'publicity sake' and not for actual recruitment e.g. IT Horizons Graduate Trainee. But seeing your message now, I believe otherwise. You're lucky you even had phone interview.
