Pelican Valley Sends Forth Dependable Director of Operations, Ife Daniel
... CEO Vows To Be Daniel's First Salesman In His Future Endeavour

It was a moving moment as Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, a foremost Nigerian real estate firm, sent forth her dependable and loyal staff, Mr Ifeoluwa Daniel, who will be stepping down as the company's Director of Operations on 31st of January, 2024

If there was a staff member the Pelican Valley would have wished could stay interminably, that staff was Ife Daniel because of his immense contributions to the rejigging of the firm to the path of growth and success within a short time.

And despite joining the team barely two years ago at a time the real estate company was at its low ebb due to treachery, conflict of interest and betrayal of trust exhibited by a previous key staff, Ifeoluwa was able to use his ingenuity, tact, managerial ability and wisdom to frontally tackle the attendant challenges to the satisfaction of the firm's clients.

During the brief valedictory ceremony at the Pelican Valley Estate Laderin, Abeokuta after the weekly management meeting of the firm which also had Ifeoluwa in attendance, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pelican Valley, Ambassador (Dr) Babatunde Adeyemo extolled the virtues of the outgoing Director as a loyal, diligent and committed staff.

Adeyemo reckoned that the value of service rendered by him was not something anybody could quantify in Naira and Kobo, saying the parting gift presented to ex - Director was just a symbolic appreciation for his contribution to the success story of Pelican Valley.

The CEO, therefore, heartily prayed for the success of Ifeoluwa as he left to chart a new path for his life, pledging to also give him any necessary support he needs to succeed.

"We are sending forth our highly dependable staff who have worked with us with vigour and energy. It is so unfortunate that they are leaving us with sweet - bitter feeling most especially our outgoing Director of Operations, Mr Ifeoluwa Daniel. Mr Ifeoluwa entering this organisation was highly symbolic because he really met us at our low ebb, at a very low point where we got betrayed by our past handler and to the glory of God, he has been so instrumental to the development of the organisation, righting so many wrongs, correcting things that were not done professionally. He was instrumental towards increasing and developing our organisation growth rate with over 200% within a short period of time. what amazes me much about him was that unlike the past handler, he was so diligent at work and there was no conflict of interest so far.

"Despite making his intention known to me that he would want to be a real estate entrepreneur, yet up till today, I have not seen any trace of conflict of interest or him trying to divert our clients to personal use. Ife, I want to assure you today that as you are leaving this organisation, whenever you set up your own business, I will be your number one marketer. I'm going to be your marketer because you have really done well.

" No one is perfect, you have really done well. I want to pray for you. You will never fail by the grace of God, just continue with what you are doing, you will never fail. As you are progressing, it is going to be a point of contact, the house is yours, you are free to come or call and seek support for anything and I will reciprocate because there is nothing anyone would do in this world that he will not reap the reward."

Meanwhile, a new Director of Operations, Tpl. Olumide Akintomide, a registered Town Planner and member of the body of Town Planners in Nigeria, has joined the Pelican Valley management team.

Tpl Akintomide who is coming from one of the foremost real estate firms, takes over from Mr. Ifeoluwa Daniel.

The new Director of Operations has pledged to bring his wealth of experience to bear on Pelican Valley Brand, assuring that he would raise the bar of service delivery from where his predecessor stopped.

Discovering an emerging location: As New Industries Berth Along Abeokuta - Sagamu - Interchange Corridor, Think Pelican Ecostay Apartments Now

By Babatunde Adeyemo

A new economic hub is emerging in Ogun, the Gateway State. It is happening along the corridor of Kobape - Siun - Sagamu interchange road. Multinational companies are springing up steadily on that stretch as investors continue to reckon Ogun State as their destination of choice.

The fact is well known that the Abeokuta- Sagamu Interchange road is the ceremonial route to the Gateway state capital, Ibara, Kuto, MKO Abiola Stadium, Oke Mosan, Laderin, Kobape, Siun to Sagamu interchange, which inturn, links the Lagos-Ibadan- Sagamu expressway, Ondo, Benin-Ore and by extension, the northern and South -Eastern parts of Nigeria.

On Tuesday, January 9, the Minister of Industry,Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite and the Governor of Ogun State, Prince(Dr) Dapo Abiodun commissioned two new factories and extension of the Tropical General Investment Group (TGI), at the Sagamu Inter-change, Ogun State.

This 36 - kilometre corridor also hosts one of the vast government acquired lands, guided jealousy by the Ogun State Government, which according to the government's Master Plan, the area is designed to be the emerging Dubai of Nigeria as it is expected and have began to harbour big industries, sky scrappers and the best of modern housing schemes.

It makes sense to project that with these industries being located along that stretch, it will trigger economic growth, throw up many job opportunities which will naturally drag people to gravitate towards the area.

This have began has multiple factories are established within 36 kilometres interchange corridor. such as the unfolding scenario will create increased demand for workers and managers. Other businesses such as real estate development then follow the factories to meet the pressing housing needs of the workers and foregn expertraits. This creates even more jobs and more demand for housing on this corridor withe almost 95 % of Government acquired lands.

Interestingly, one of the few modern estates around the 36 kilometre stretch Sagamu - Interchange corridor and free from government acquired lands is the Pelican Brief Estate, Pelican's Ecostay apartments and the Pelican"s Greenish acres farm Estate, amongst other state government owned estates too. The corridor also hosts the largest brewery in West African, and some existing multinational companies. The Ogun State Agro Cargo Airport is just a few distance away from the axis.

The Pelican's ranges of products on the This 36 - kilometre Siun-Kobape- Interchange corridor were conceived to be an eco - friendly setting, a serene ambience where men and nature would align to promote 'good health and longevity,' and away from the congestion of the Abeokuta metropolis.

The essence is to make Pelican's Ecostay Apartments a zero carbon emission human habitation, a tourist attraction with special built lounge, recreation areas, special built club and a Gymn centre for the comfort of the calibre of clients that had keyed into the concept.

Interestingly, Pelican Brief Estate and Pelican Ecostay apartments have a FULL government approved layout. It has its own Master plan which provides for Green Areas and at the same time, an eco-friendly place called Pelican Ecostay apartments. It is conceived to offer comfort and healthy living. Already, about N10million naira have been earmarked for buying plants and tree seedlings in phases. The concept is that a seedling will be put in each plot and compound so that in the next two or three years, one can always have a serene ambience and zero carbon emission because in the estate. There will be no home power generator in any apartment. It is going to be 100% eco - friendly in compliance with ecostay, eco - friendly concept.

in it bid to also compliment the Ogun State's Government's efforts on lighting up the Interchange corridor, the management Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited have also earmarked a whooping sum of (#20m) twenty million naira to provide an industrial solar street lighting for over for kilometres of link roads, connecting there housing projects on the corridor, admist a strategic collaboration with the Ogun State police command for a possible siting of a police station.

The estate is not a product of happenstance. On the contrary, it was deliberately sited at that particular spot in Masa Kobape area of Abeokuta to give investors peace of mind, it is a place where man and nature will align to promote good health, and longevity and away from the congestion of Abeokuta metropolis. This is why it has become increasingly important that those who cherish a good health -promoting environment should key into the estates now and not delay any further.

One stricken feature about it is its proximity to strategic to key economic indicators in the state and neighbouring states. It is 45 minutes drive from Ikeja, Lagos and less than 20 minutes from Abeokuta's Prof Wole Soyinka Train station . It is all encompassing and truly an emergence tourist attraction. The estate will host special built lounge, recreation areas, special built club and a Gymn centre. All these have been specified in the Master Plan of Ecostay apartments and the same is being extended to the Pelican Brief estate

Efforts are being regularly to make the setting as natural as possible. There is a Camel and some friendly birds in the estate. The Camel will enhance the movement of tourists.

The estate is well approved by the relevant government authority. The beauty of government approved layout estates is that in every layout of government approved estate, there is a portion mapped out for green areas, recreation, hospitals, worshipcenters and schools, it is compulsory and you can't use that portion for any other purpose. Before government approved a layout, you must have a green area, you must have a place for recreation, you must have commercial area so that nobody goes building shops in front of his apartment to sell groundnut or coconut. Such will never happen in Pelican Brief or Pelican Ecostay Apartments because there is purposefully vouched out facility space for that. There is a commercial zone. There is going to be a 5 - storey building corporate headquarters there. One floor will house Oko Opo Foundation. One floor will be for the supervision of the estate.

The last floor will be for the second passion of the promoter, which is broadcasting as plans are underway to have a Radio Station because there is going to be a convergence of bundle of knowledge there. One is referring to Nigerians who have excelled in many endeavours and they want to retire to the place. The broadcasting station will tap into their wealth of experience by bringing them to handle one or two live programmes in the envisaged Radio Station. It is going to be the knowledge base of Ogun State, the tourist attraction and future of Ogun State. What else can ask for in an estate. This is definitely the time to think and invest in Pelican Brief Estate Pelican's Ecostay Apartments and Pelican Green Acres Farm Estate at Kobape.

In preparedness for year 2024 tree planting season, the Ogun State Ministry of Forestry is set to distribute tree planting tools across its nine forest reserves.

Commissioner in the Ministry, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun disclosed this at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, while addressing news men during an inspection of the tools, such as watering cans, wheelbarrows, head pans among others, disclosing that 2024 planting season would soon commence with about two million tree seedlings.

Engr. Oludotun explained that the agency would take steps in ensuring that the survival rate of the one million trees planted in 2023 is 80/90 percent achieved.

"Last year our plan was to plant one million trees but to God be the glory, we were able to surpass it. This year, in conjunction with our development partners and private sectors, we are targeting two million trees", he said.

Meanwhile, timber contractors in J1 and J4 in Ijebu-East Local Government Area of the state have been cautioned to avoid activities that hinder government from achieving its set goals in the forestry sector.

Engr. Oludotun stated this at a meeting with the contractors in Abeokuta, saying such activities include, planting of cocoa in the forest reserves, illegal cutting of trees, cutting of trees into flitches and illegal allocation of lands to farmers for agriculture purposes by enclave heads.

While appreciating them for their cooperation in the outgone year, the Commissioner warned that unregistered tractors, felling machines and lorries found in the forest after 6.00pm and on weekends, would be impounded by the state government, enjoining the contractors to form task force that would monitor activities of illegal occupants in all forest reserves across the state.

Responding on behalf of her colleagues, Alhaja Oluwaranti Kazzem appreciated government for its support, assuring of sustained cooperation in the new year.

2024 New Year Message: Showunmi Charges Tinubu On Active Governance, Condemn Attack On MiddleBelt

Thank you the owner of everything. Thank you sovereign over nations. Thank you for the spirit of the 4th man in the fire. Thank you the One who speaks and it is done.

The peace of a nation is the peace for everyone within and around the nation.
Come through for Nigeria and cause us your people to see the manifestation of the prayers of the saints.

I pray for the territorial commanders of this nation that there will be an alignment of visions, plans and actions to bring about speedy recovery on all sides for this blessed nation.

To President Bola Ahmed Tinubu it is time to bring the structural issues of the country to the front burner, no nation can keep having unknown organized killings of large numbers in villages and communities the type we have been experiencing in the Middlebelt of Nigeria without considering what must be structurally done to find a lasting solution.

We have circled this mountain for too long, enough is enough.

On the economy, money has only been stolen and hoarded, if you squeeze them they will return what belongs to the country, you need to understand that the poor cannot keep carrying the burden of abuse of office cum abuse of privileges from years past.

Mr President this nation requires comprehensive and deliberate reimagining and reorientation. It cannot be the dream of our founding fathers nor the hope of the future to have a country where no one is good enough to serve us.

I encourage you to pay attention to the police force, once we have a fit-for-purpose, well-funded and motivated police force we will begin to deal with criminality which simply put is at the heart of most of our challenges.

Greatest of the greatest Nigerians you are the forever heroes of our nation. Do not give us on our country. Tomorrow promises to be better if we work very hard at nationhood. I pray the elements favour us all as Nigerians.

Happy New Year to us all. Nigeria Arise for your glory is come.

PoliticsAPC, Tinubu Won Election Through Manipulations, Now Confused In Govt – Segun Sho by AmeboFeeds(op): 7:49pm On Dec 30, 2023
APC, Tinubu won election through manipulations, now confused in govt – Segun Showunmi

Former spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation and national chairmanship hopeful of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Segun Showunmi, has said the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and its candidate during the last presidential election, President Bola Tinubu, are confused after rigging their way to power.

He said the President’s confusion is the reason for the country’s current hardship.

He spoke at the sidelines of the end-of-the-year party organised by the party in Ogun State on Saturday.

“The APC have manipulated, and they are now confused. Everything is not working. Life is now really unbearable. The cost of living is too high. Inflation is too high. People are just generally feeling unhappy; they can’t manage exchange rates. They can’t manage the naira. Every day, we hear stories of people getting killed, and they have not been able to do anything.

“They have compacted themselves in a party of poverty, a party where they only go for condolences, a focus-less and directionless group,” he said.

The candidate of the PDP in the last election, Ladi Adebutu, was accused of fleeing the country over allegations of vote buying during the 18th March gubernatorial election.

But on his return, he presented himself at the police headquarters in the state, gave his statement and left.

Showunmi, however, accused the APC of attempting to intimidate the PDP, insisting that his party cannot be cowed.

“It is difficult for opponents in Nigeria, and the ones that are in charge of the country now will go to any length or spare no expense to make life harder for the opponents. So what we have come here to do today is in solidarity with our party and the flag bearer during the last election in Ogun state, to say that nothing about the rumours going around is true. Thank God he has also presented himself before the police and all that is now in the past.

“But, suffice to say that democracy can not thrive under an atmosphere of bullying, within 16 years that the PDP was in charge of this country, I don’t remember us bullying the opposition and they had better stop bullying the opposition. We are not the kind of people that can be bullied or cawed,” he added.

Also speaking of his ambition to contest the position of the national chairmanship of the PDP, Atiku’s ex-spokesman noted that there is a need for a paradigm shift in the party.

“A political party that is 25 years old must review itself in a way that it can recalibrate, right its wrongs and bring together a set of new opinions that will make it different from all other parties and also run in an equitable, just and all-inclusive manner. People are not saying they just want a chairman, but they are saying they want Otunba Segun Showunmi. I will try my best and if it is the wish of the leaders and collegians, we shall run an insightful tenure, a paradigm shift from what we used to have.

“Every other zone has done Chairman and it is even beyond that now. It is about who has passion, capability, tenacity, wisdom and Competence to know how to administer the party in the right direction,” he said.

Let's Join Hands To Build Nigeria, Abike Dabiri, Pelican Valley CEO Urge Diasporas

....Advocate Making Exit Plan, Investment Ties With Home Ahead Of Retirement

The Chairman/ CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa and realtor (Amb) Babatunde Adeyemo have called on Nigerians in the United Kingdom, United States and other parts of Europe to join hands with their fellow compatriots at home to build Nigeria together to greater heights.

Hon. Abike Dabiri and Ambassador Adeyemo gave the advice separately on Sunday night while addressing the Nigerians in the UK during the Avenue Impact Business Networking and Winter Ball at the Crown Plaza Hotel, London.

While the former federal lawmaker and veteran Broadcast journalist who expressed joy because of the many diasporas making Nigeria proud at home and globally, who she urged to continue believing in themselves and supporting one another to keep Nigeria aloft for honours, Adeyemo advised them not to wait until they've attained the retirement age before making plans to relocate back home - japada, or establish investment ties with their fatherland.

The CEO of NIDCOM said the Commission exists among other things to serve as an ambassador and a bridge between the Nigeria diaspora and homeland to foster continuous collaboration, preserving expertise, and mobilising resources for Nigeria's socio-economic, cultural, and political development by way of encouraging those abroad to invest at home.

According to her, there is a mortgage scheme of the Federal Government to support the diasporas on mortgage issues.

In his address, Adeyemo told the diasporas that the time to make strategic exit plans and establish investment ties with home is now that many of them are still active or have few years ahead of their retirement age so that the process of relocation would be seamless, thorough and achievable when the period beckons on them.

The CEO of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, a foremost Nigerian real estate firm behind the Pelican Valley Estate Laderin, Abeokuta, Pelican Valley's Brief Estate, Pelican's Ecostay Apartments and Pelican Valley Green Acres Farm Estate - all at Kobape - Masa corridor of Ogun State spoke on the Investment opportunities in the real estate business back home at the well attended event by Nigerian professionals and government officials, including the Chairperson of the Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri - Erewa, the Mayor of Southwark London, Michael Shitu and Mr Smart Kemiki, the Director of Dominion Forever Limited.

Adeyemo who is a multi - award winning real estate practitioner, urged diasporas to make hay while the sun still shone or better still, take a bow when the ovation is heard loud, even as he said they could venture into the real estate industry with little or no funds by starting as realtors, earn commissions and grow to be like the Pelican Valley within the next 10 years.

He, however, identified capital, due diligence, development and value adding as well as goodwill as four basic necessities to be in place for one to succeed or excel in any venture, especially the real estate industry.

The ECOWAS Youth Ambassador and an Anti - Corruption Ambassador, explained that carrying out due diligence, for example, is very critical when buying any piece of land lest one falls into the hands of scammers and have one's fingers burnt while the goodwill is essential to a successful marketing of real estate products.

According to him, if any of the diasporas follows those four key factors with a strategic exit plan long before retirement and possible relocation to Nigeria, the better the chances of success.

"As we have, japa so we have japada syndrome...infact, to japada syndrome is even more complex than to japa...if you don't want to eventually become a mama londona or baba londona in future...they say, Ile ni abo sinmi oko ...the time to start having an investment ties with your homeland is now...don't ever procrastinate...the ovation will soon be loud and it will be in your best interest to take a bow when the ovation is loud," he advised.

Adeyemo recalled with pride and satisfaction that he has been practicing real estate business for over 14 years without a single dispute or court case and without running to the police for any land dispute, warning investors to be mindful when they 'see a real estate company doing aggressive marketing,' they should know that something is chasing such a firm.

He noted that in Pelican Valley, they don't call their prospects, having been convinced that real estate is value driven.

He said, "If you Google "the only estate with full government approval in.Ogun state now, you will definitely see what the Ogun State government said about our Estates...not only the Ogun State government but also private individuals and investors.

"Pelican Valley Estate has 100 percent positive reviews on Google....The values we add to our projects made our client's ROI to move up by almost 300 percent in just one year.

"We launched Pelican Brief with a paltry sum of 685 just 3 years ago, today, Pelican-Brief is #5m per plot and it will be N7.5m per plot starting from next tomorrow which is the 5th of December.

"In that Estate, we have a 500 kva electric transformer, fully energized, 5 armed security guards, Camels and peacocks for tourist attractions.....less than 50 mins drive to.the.Lagos State governors office and 15 mins from the Ogun State governors office.

"We also have Pelican Valley estate, Laderin...we introduced that estate for just 800K per plot 9 years ago but today, the plot is N 25Million and it will be N30m next tomorrow...I live in that Estate with my family presently. These are lands we bought as low as 300K per plot about ten years ago."

Earlier in his welcome address, the CEO of Avenue Impact Limited and Convener of the event, Mr. Funso Akinwunmi appreciated Honourable Abike Dabiri-Erewa for her presence, and lauded her for the dedication to fostering stronger ties between Nigerians in the diaspora and their homeland, adding that the establishment of the NIDCOM is a testament to the Nigerian government's dedication to leveraging the diaspora's vast human capital and material resources.

"We extend our encouragement to the government to proactively cultivate an environment that makes Nigeria a home and an attractive destination for those contemplating travel abroad. Our beloved Nigeria holds immense potential, and fostering an environment conducive to growth and prosperity will undoubtedly serve as a magnet for Nigerians at home and abroad.

"It is our collective responsibility to engage in nation-building actively, and a critical aspect of this endeavour involves addressing key areas that influence citizens' decisions, including the desire to travel abroad. By investing in robust infrastructure and fortifying the economy, the government can instil confidence and pride in Nigerians, making them enthusiastic about contributing to the nation's growth and development.

"We also urge the government to seize this opportunity to prioritise initiatives that enhance the appeal of Nigeria, both for its residents and those living abroad. A thriving and welcoming Nigeria will retain its talented citizens and attract the global Nigerian diaspora, fostering a collective effort towards building a stronger and more prosperous nation," he said.

Akinwunmi also appreciated the CEO of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited whom he described as a distinguished expert in property investment for gracing the business networking event and sharing his useful wisdom in the real estate business within the Nigerian context.

"Your wealth of knowledge and strategic vision have undoubtedly played a crucial role in the real estate sector, and we are privileged to have you share your wisdom with us," he said.

Gov. Adeleke Dissolved US To Pave Way For Removal Of Osun CJ - Commission

There seems no respite in place for the embattled administration of the Osun state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, as members of the Osun state Judicial Service Commission dissolved illegally this October have finalised plans to fight their abrupt sack within the ambit of law.

In a statement signed by Hon. Rotimi Makinde and Barrister Tomi Olagbaju on behalf of the entire members of the dissolved judicial commission, the disenchanted group explained that the dissolution of the statutory commissions before the end of their five years' tenure was a product of executive recklessness which should not be enlivened for the sake of commonsense, decency, orderliness and our fledging democracy.

The group alleged that their commission's dissolution was politically motivated and had connection with sinister motive against the Chief Judge of the state, Honourable Justice Adepele Ojo.

According to them, "when the state government could not find the CJ pliable to execute their devious plan and consequently could not find anything incriminating against the CJ, since all approvals from her office to our commission went through due process of law, the Governor believed the best strategy to adopt is to disband us, and bring in ductile characters, even when our tenure still remains four years."

They added that, "it is strange that a government which has become a butt of jokes and comedy in the comity of states over unending financial infraction, recently being its inability to justify the over N130b revenue accrued to it in the last one year and failure to account for N10b extra budget for food and entertainment inserted in the supplementary budget of the state governor, is the one devoting its energy to sack a Chief Judge over ridiculous and puerile N5m graft claim. Where does the Government derive powers to investigate and punish a Chief Judge? Such powers reside in the National Judicial Council."

The group equally stated that Governor Adeleke had all along, since his inauguration, stopped the salaries of all the statutory boards in such a reckless manner just as he used the same to lock out some traditional rulers and deprived them of their priveleges.

The group finally appealed to the National Judicial Council to pay adequate attention to the management of judiciary in Osun as they equally appealed to Nigerians and security operatives to hold Governor Adeleke responsible should anything untoward happens to them or any member of their family.

They vouched to fight on until they get justice.

"Our case will be the terminus point to the impunity and illegality being perpetrated by the current government. They must have got away with others, but in our case, we will fight and get the deserving justice,". The statement concluded.

It would be recalled that chairmen and members of the statutory commissions, namely Osun State Judicial Service Commission; Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC); Osun State Civil Service Commission and Osun State House of Assembly Service Commission, dissolved October 30, 2023, had challenged their dissolution at the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN), Ibadan, Oyo State, urging among other reliefs, the court to nullify the dissolution and direct the Osun State Government to stop giving further effect to the purported constitution of the new commissions.

The claimants also prayed the court to ask the state government to pay damages in the sum of N500m

Only Registered Tractors'll Operate In Ogun Forest Reserves — Says Commissioner

Henceforth, tractors not registered with the Ministry of Forestry in Ogun State would not be allowed to operate within the State’s forest reserves.

Commissioner for Forestry, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun dropped this hint during a chat with newsmen at his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying that the government would no longer fold its hands and allow illegality to persist across its forest reserves.

He further disclosed that registration and proper documentation of the tractor with the Ministry is necessary, as a sticker would be issued before such a tractor could be allowed to operate within the reserves.

Oludotun stated that timber contractors were also not left out in the new order, adding that they must also revalidate their registration with the Ministry before they could be allowed to operate within the government forest reserves, advising forest officers to ensure they protect trees planted from being destroyed.

Rotimi Makinde Repudiates Dissolution Of Statutory Commissions By Governor Adeleke, Tasks Him To Rescind Decision

A former lawmaker who represented Ife Federal constituency at the National Assembly in the 7th Assembly, Hon. Rotimi Makinde has took a swipe at Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State for dissolving statutory commissions just as he advised him to rescind decision with immediate effect.

The Ife born politician and APC Chieftain also threatened to go to Court should the Governor refuse to call for reinstatement of the sacked officials, including him (Makinde) who is a member of Osun State Judicial Service Commission.

It would be recalled that the Governor took the decision on Monday, October 30, 2023 and the affected commissions are the State Civil Service Commission, the Judicial Service Commission, the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission and the Osun State House of Assembly Service Commission respectively.

Makinde in a statement on Tuesday personally signed by him and made available to the media said:

“I am really stunned to see that Governor Ademola Adeleke whom I had personal relationship with before he became Governor and who once served as a Senator with better understanding of law making would act in a manner that defies the tenets of the rule of law. Even the President of the Federation didn't have record of removing anyone in statutory offices at the Federal level through use of executive fiat.

“The handlers of Mr. Governor ought to have advised and guided him accordingly on how statutory commissions work, how their membership are constituted, their tenure in office, etc. For example, the Judicial Commission where I belong is of 5-year tenure and was just renewed by the immediate past Governor. The dissolution of these Statutory Commissions on Monday by the Governor is a total aberration and must be reversed forthwith.

The statement further stressed:

“With no intent to embarrass the Governor and his government, I expect Mr. Governor to heed wise counsel and ensure that things are done in an honorable manner and in tandem with extant rules. Meanwhile, tendering of apologies, rescinding decisions or making policy corrections is not new in governance and it isn't an act of cowardice, it only shows such leadership is matured and has respect for the people, protocol, convention and the grundnorm that govern them to foster cohesion, inclusiveness, peace and progress.

“Indeed, Mankind has always had problems with the rule of law but every nation, even if grudgingly, recognises that the rule of law is at the heart of the social contract. Destroy it and you destroy the social contract and the basis for the community of man and the institution of government. Individuals rulers may abuse it or bend it to their whims and caprices but the rule of law is an open wound. It cannot be ignored because it opens itself to the conscience of political leaders at all levels. The rule of law matters, therefore, Governor Adeleke shouldn't allow sycophants around him to mislead or make him walk on eggshells.

“Under our laws, the legislature makes the laws and the courts interpret them. If anyone is suspected of breaking the law, the constitution says he must be taken before a judge who will decide his fate. I expect Mr. Governor to toe the line of honor and decency by shifting his ground on this matter otherwise I will approach the court which is the final arbiter to seek redress.” The statement concluded.

About a year ago when he invited me, I first of all thought he was part of those that makes mouth but after getting my Visa Without collecting a dime from me I began to take a second look at the thing, although I ‘m not always interested in traveling out, I don’t like it. We have successfully earnersed the international real estate world without stepping out of Nigeria, but he has been using his love to persuade me to help people in the diaspora and continue to contribute to humanity. It is not about going there to make money but to help people of like -minds, people of aee age willing to japada successfully.

“You know we are used to hearing Japa, now we are hearing Japada. When you Japa and you achieved your dreams there, there is a need for you to also Japada. So, Bobawoga and Pelican are actually an architects of Japada, he is helping those that want to Japada, to make things easy for them to Japada because I know that it is not that easy for you to come back home because there are many conditions attached to coming back.

“You must have a solid base. What are you coming back to do? You are getting old already and the weather is not friendly to you anymore. You can’t just leave that place in a hurry. You have so many dependants there, you have to settle them. Coming down here, you need to answer the questions of, ‘ what are you coming here to do?’ Which investment have you made? So, he is trying to help those that are ripe to Japada, to make a solid investment back home. I have to be there to talk to them and give advice so that when they are coming back, they will not fall into wrong hands posing as real estate players. You see, the prey of these scammers are the diasporas eager to Japada, who had worked in the snow and want to invest their hard earned savings/earnings in Nigeria. They are the prey of the fraudsters. I’m going there personally to be part of the discussants and to let people know the value of the real estate investment and how to start early before they eventually Japada. So, it is my passion and I’m really happy to be part of this development.”

“In fact, our products are meant for them. I know by the time I will be leaving Canada, Babawoga will be given a Chieftaincy title in Canada by his people because the value of the investment expected cannot be overemphasized, once they pay, they are getting their allocation almost immediately. It is not the case of someone waiting for months or years to get allocated. We have done our beacon sheet and it is government approved. We have Pelican Greenish Acres Farm Estate for them to keep their heart and soul together, we have Pelican Ecostay Apartments where we build houses for them. You can buy ready – made houses from us so that you don’t fall preys to wrong hands and lose your money. We are fully prepared to meet demands.”

BusinessPelican Valley Announces Date For Increment In Lands Prices, Pledges Continuous by AmeboFeeds(op): 1:43pm On Oct 10, 2023
Pelican Valley Announces date for Increment In Lands Prices, Pledges Continuous Effort To Serve Better.

A foremost real estate company in Nigeria, Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited has announced the increment of Price of the lands in it Estates and pledged its continuous effort to serve it customers better and deliver premium value with a consistent high return on investment on their investment with it.

The CEO of the firm, Ambassador (Dr.) Babatunde Adeyemo, made this known to the newsmen on Tuesday in a release that entails the public notice to the prospective and potential Customers.

He disclosed the reasons behind the Increment of the price, adding that the increase will be effective from 5th of December, 2023.

While announcing the new prices, he noted the current and new prices of the affected Estates.

According to Adeyemo "Due to our projected and ongoing massive capital investments to the tune of over #1B on Basic infrastructures in our Estates and the Client's financial commitment to over 90% of our lands in our Estates, there will be an upward review in the prices of land in our Estates.

He also called on those that are willing to invest in real estate business to quickly key in to it before it will be too late for them, and disclosed the price of some of the firm's estates at the beginning how much they worth now.

While analysing the benefit of the Pelican Valley Products, he highlighted the social amenities been put in place in all the Estates and the uniqueness of those Estates among others in the South West region of Nigeria.

"You need to invest with someone with a proven track records of integrity and goodwill so that your real estate investment can be secured. Let me shock you, 90% of Nigerians in diaspora who are investing in real estate had actually got their hands burnt, because most of them are unable to reach out to realtors who can secure their investments. And it takes someone with clean bill of health, prudency and great integrity to secure real estate on behalf of any individual. It is very evident in our track record that we have been into this real estate business for almost 14 years now without a single court or police case and when you check our reviews, u will discover that we have 100% positive reviews on all our public platforms. So, it would be a wonderful opportunity for those that are willing to invest and get a high RoI to take full advantage. Take for instance the Pelican Valley Estate which we started selling land there at N800k about eight years ago, today, a plot of land there is N20million to be increased to about #25 million, also Pelican Brief Estate in Kobape, we started selling land at N785k but today, it is N5million per plot, now to be increased to about #7.5 million . I know in the next few years, it will shoot up to about N10million per plot. So, it is good for people to invest now, most especially Nigerians in diaspora, they are really in vantage position because the exchange rate is favourable to them and they can easily key into real estate business and it will multiply RoI for them. So, it is a good opportunity for them to key in.

"We are taking the "REAL" products to them in London soon, Gods willing, first of oir Estates is the Pelican Valley Estate, Laderin, where unusual homes happens. Pelican Valley has one of the most beautiful landscape, most unique ambience and serene environment one cannot find in the whole Southwestern part of Nigeria. It is so natural and you can't see something like it anywhere in the Southwestern part of Nigeria. It took us almost seven years to achieve such scenery ambience and landscape. We introduced it 8 years ago. Its Fully energised with a 500kv electric transformer, four Fully armed security guards, drainages, two gardeners and all major roads interlocking.

"Other products are Pelican-Brief Estate, Kobape, where we are igniting a Smart City. Pelican Brief is presently the fastest growing estate in Ogun State today. We started selling Pelican Brief with meagre N785k per plot three years ago but today, a plot is N5million.
Presently, we have four armed security guards on site and two gardeners working daily. We have also launched a N1billion road construction intervention scheme using interlocking stones for our majour roads in the first phase of road construction. We also have a 500 Kv transformer, fully energized, stepped down from a 33kv trunkline.

"Every plot in Pelican Brief has electricity pole in front of it, with Fully energised serviced wires. It is the only estate that has a "FULL" GOVERNMENT APPROVED LAYOUT in Ogun State for the first three and half years of the present administration in Ogun State. Pelican Brief has so many fully subscribed diasporan clients, which influence the naming of some of our streets after their base, among those names are Ontario drive, Manitoba drive and so on..we cannot rule out the possibility of having a AVI drive or London avenue in the nearest future. Pelican Brief presently has over one hundred and fifty building approvals with over fifty ongoing constructions.

"We've done all our beacon sheet (Ready-made registered surveys for all plots), when you buy our lands and pay in full, you get allocation almost immediately you are ready for development. These are type of products the Diaspora needs. The Estate is less than 15 minutes from the Prof. Wole Soyinka train station, which connects Ogun State to Lagos, Ibadan and in the long-term, all the 36 State capitals in the Nigerian Federation.

"Another product is Pelican Ecostay apartments. Pelican Ecostay apartments is just one part of Pelican Brief Estate, there we have started building one bedroom studio apartments, two bedroom apartments, three bedroom apartments and three bedroom duplexes. So, Ecostay apartment is highly unique where everything there is going to be 100% eco-friendly. We have started planting trees there and the tree planting project cost us over N10 million. We want to make it a site - seeing and tourists attraction. We have placed order for three Camels, donkeys, peacocks to make the ambience scenery and natural. The building sites and the building is also fully approved by the Ogun state government, with provisions for a purpose built lounge, gym, mini club, recreation, skid gas station, green areas, open space and hospital.

"Those are some of the unique advantages of our products, you can call it our unique selling points. We also have Pelican Valley Greenish Acres Farm Estate, which is a by - product of Pelican-Brief Estate and the Pelican"s Ecostay Apartments. The idea is to have a place not too far away from the estates whereby our clients and residents can easily go to get fresh vegetables and farm products, to complement the dreams of Ecostay apartment and make people live natural and eat natural. We discovered that about 80% of our clients in the diaspora are 55 years old upward and most of them are ready to come back home in retirement and once they got home, they would need something to keep body and soul together. That was why we have the farm estate. It is about 1.5kilometer away from the Pelican Brief Estate and Pelican'sEcostay Apartments. They can just take a walk up from their houses to their farms, eat fresh vegetables that the body needs and jug back home. It is a way of promoting wellness and healthful living and future. So, those are the products we are planning to introduce to Nigerians in diaspora startedfrom London, this December, Gods willing. Our ranges of products are interwoven, interconnected and interrelated.

He however, stated that the new rates taking effect from 5th of December as follows;

Help Restore Hope In Our Youths, Bejeroku of Oke Agbo Urges Realtor Adeyemo

...As Monarch Partner Pelican Valley CEO To Drive Development

The Bejeroku of Oke Agbo, Ijebu Igbo,Oba, Stephen Adeleke Adekoya, has described realtor Babatunde Adeyemo as a beacon of hope and charged him to use his vision, impressive achievements and experience in real estate business to restore hope in Nigerian youths.

Oba Adebajo who noted that hope is what keeps life going, said that at this critical time of the nation's economic trajectory, hope is an essential ingredient needed to stay on right course and navigate safely.

The monarch gave the advice during an interview with The Daily Crucible at The Podium within the cosy Pelican Valley Estate Laderin, shortly after a guided tour of it by Dr. Adeyemo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, a foremost real estate firm.

Oba Adebajo and one of the illustrious sons of Ijebu Igbo were at Pelican Valley to deliberate on feasible practical partnership with the CEO on community development and youth mentorship.

He expressed satisfaction with all the experiences and knowledge shared during the tour and voiced out his readiness to partner with the Pelican Valley to bring development to his domains.

The monarch said, "Anytime you see me in this element, that I'm truly and genuinely happy, I'm always turned on when I see people doing something differently and achieving uncommon result. I think such has been an experience with Pelican Valley in the last three hours we have been moving round some of your estates around in the capital city of Ogun State.

As a young man, I respect his vision and I thank God on his behalf and I'm happy again to still be a Nigerian and happy too to still be a Black man because a number of times we write ourselves off by our statements, by our actions, by our beliefs system that oh nothing good again can come from us. So, when we see things like this from young people, we are not just Blacks but who are Nigerians, you know that there is still hope for Nigeria. Like I have mentioned before, Hope is why all of us live. We all live for hope. And when there is no hope, human beings become desperate. When there is hope and continuous loss of hope, the initial thing that will set in is depression. A number of the cases that we treat in this country today that lead to fatalities are as a result of depression and also as a result of loss of hope. When the road seemed closed, fear is immediately created. When that fear that was created is not addressed on time, and there seem to be blockages as to the way out of the problem, one runs into depression. The rest can be left to the imagination. So, I have come, I have seen and my mission when I was coming was different. It was just to come, discuss with one big man in a big and cosy office and why I say he should be a mentor and add mentorship to the vocation he is presently doing, is to encourage our youth. Whatever it is that I have come for, we can do everything here with what I have seen and in my seeing, I have learnt and I have gained a lot from Pelican. And I want to appeal to the CEO and I'm praying too, that God will continue to support him. And I want him to keep the flag flying and share his vision with a number of our youths. When you do that, you create hope. Hope is the foundation of everything we become in life. It is that thing that makes you say, 'oh I can do it?' So, if I do it, there is an opportunity here?'
It encourages a lot of people, it gives them a renewed hope that will turn their lives for the better.

On How youths can key into the Pelican vision

Seeing is believing. A number of times, especially based on the experiences they have had, people now believe only what they can see. So, he could go to an institution, it could be one - off programme in a year, you look at all our institutions within Abeokuta and Ogun State, you pick the town Planners, architects, engineer and take them round, you let them know it is an engagement and opportunity to ask questions, to let them see how you did it and how you started, what gave you the vision, how you developed the vision and how you had the opportunity of taking easy money to start ,which would have become a challenge probably intractable challenge and how you avoided it through advice by somebody whom you can also regard as a financial mentor now. So, when you take them through such a life experience that is practicable, the end result of which they are seeing here and you bring people to this type of environment and they see it and say, 'so things like this could happen here by vision of somebody,' it gives them a lot of hope. The hope is what we should bring back to our youths in Nigeria.

Partnering Pelican to drive development in Ijebu Igbo

I'm already partnering with him in my mind and I don't do anything outside of my mind. I'm telling you from the bottom of my heart that I'm already partnering with him because I have gained. When I mentioned knowledge gap which I believe is the missing gap either at the government level, individual level or at the institutional level. Yes, we have vast land that is there and my own take off point is, 'how do we develop it?' I started the discussion with my brother and I told him that all our children abroad and diaspora, can't we create an estate that we can name Diaspora Estate or something befitting? Or Ijebu Diaspora Estate? He now said, 'Yes, I have a friend, lets go meet that my friend, he is into things like what you have in mind. So, I think I have come, I have seen and I believe I will be able to conquer all the challenges facing me as far as development of this vision and my domain is concerned. If I have seen him do it, he has done it, I have seen it and he has told me so many things that assisted me in allaying some of the fears, very simple statements he might not have known or imagined the effect. He has told me that I could approach the government and of course, I will not do it without him. So, every step of the way, we will carry him along and that is deemed practical partnership. We will carry him along, we will share his experience, he will guide us, he will mentor us and I want to assure him that we will not disappoint him because we will also do well.

Speaking on the visit of the Royal father, the CEO, Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, Amb (Dr) Babatunde Adeyemo, who expressed pleasure over the visit, described the traditional ruler as an extremely good listener and one of the most cerebral traditional ruler he had ever met. The recently inducted anti-corruption ambassador and ECOWAS youth ambassador also stated that the king had said his mind in totality and might not really need to add much. "Kabiyesi his one of the most cerebral and good listener I had met in recent times, you see, I don't often tell people about my life stories and how integrity, goodwill, creativity and fiscal discipline can squeeze water out of the rocks, because I often sound like a motivational speaker, so nowadays days, I feel the best way to inspire is to let the people see for them selves and judge. I don't really like motivational speakers, realtors or politicians who don't speak with direct references or tangible evidences, talk is always cheap. Show us what you have done and use them as reference points. That is why we don't do aggressive marketing, adverts or sales promotion at Pellican-Valley, We speak to clients through continuous value adding and developmental projects in our various Estates ".
