Tinubu has a solid structure in Lagos but am not sure Oshiomole has that. Honestly, Tinubu developed Lagos more than he met it then even without federal funds released to the state. Tinubu developed a lot of leaders and he has leaders ahead of him too. Oshiomole am not sure changed any special thing as far as governing Edo was or is concerned. Edo people na wise up people oooo. Those voting in Lagos are mostly market women and few elites. Any way, congratulations to Obaseki, PDP, Edo state and Nigeria from all of us at thenewkokoro.com and Olugbenga Adetitun YouTube channel. |
Condolences to the state and the nation from all of us at thenewkokoro.com and Olugbenga Adetitun YouTube channel. Only remembered by what you have done. |
yanabasee1:Nigerians have moved away ke? The effects are all over my broda. Chicken and egg price increase is just a few days ago and due to ban on import of maize. Check https://thenewkokoro.com/ for more helps... |
https://thenewkokoro.com/2020/09/19/vat-increase-and-closure-of-borders-benefits-and-drawbacks/ Hello and welcome, It’s been many months that the President Muhammadu Buhari government has placed bans on the importation of food items across Nigerian borders. This has drastically caused some changes in the lives of many Nigerians. They find it hard to believe the decision of the President. The ban has its advantages and disadvantages. Some of its advantages are that it has boosted the economy of Nigeria as the local farmers now sell their food items to Nigerians. Thereby, making them gain from their harvest. This was not the case before the ban. Nigerians preferred imported foods to their own locally made food. Now they are forced to see the good in their own locally produced food items. On the disadvantages, our farmers now extort their fellow country men and women because they know people no longer have a choice but to buy what is presented to them. Another disadvantage is the reduction it has caused in the level of foods in the country. The reduced amount of foods now is so outrageous that you can barely buy food and eat it to your satisfaction. The quantity of food bought is so alarming and this is becoming worse on the Nigerian masses considering the recent stress in the country and the world due to COVID-19. A family that has minimum amount to spend will be made to go out of budget in order to buy a meal that will satisfy them. This reduction is actually causing a huge problem on the economic life of many families in Nigeria. This brings the masses to option of eating food based on quantity not of the quality. A family will actually prefer to buy from where the food is much not minding the refinement, processes involved, the environment and all. This has caused the masses to be malnourished. Lack of proper diet and nutrient in the people may or will cause them to be sick and this would make them not to be able to concentrate on productive activities. Some development were recently made known to the public as the Central Bank of Nigeria now issue some new percent on Value Added Tax (VAT) increasing it from 5% to 7.5%. This decision is also is affecting the students because prices of different foods have increased and the quantity of food sold has not favoured the buyers. This increase in VAT came after the closure of borders across Nigeria. This also add to the struggle of the masses in which they are left to battle with it. Even though the closure of borders across Nigeria has its many benefits, the harm it is doing to the common man is more than the good it has done to them. Majority are suffering from the decisions made by the nations leaders. https://thenewkokoro.com/2020/09/19/vat-increase-and-closure-of-borders-benefits-and-drawbacks/ |
Mr. Wale Babalakin has resigned his position as the Pro Chancellor of the University of Lagos. His resignation came in on a day the committee set up by the federal government submitted its report to the FG. Reason for his resignation is unclear but it may be linked to what he may think will be the report of the special visitation panel set up by the federal government some 3 weeks ago. Babalakin was in a fracas with the Vice Chancellor of the university of Lagos which lead to the sack of the VC. The VC’s sack was seen by many as not following due process. All the 4 staff unions at Unilag initially opposed the removal of the VC, Prof. Ogundipe. With time, other unions opted out of the jointly signed agreed opposition and went on to support Babalakin’s moves with the exception of ASUU. What’s going to happen now? What did the special visitation panel find out? thenewkokoro.com will keep you posted. Stay tuned. https://thenewkokoro.com/2020/09/17/wale-babalakin-resigns-as-unilag-governing-council-chair/ |

That's good but not the real issue. Phcn guys will not reckon that a tenant is new. They reckon on the house and the amount owed by whoever. Their biz is not with whoever but with the outstanding bill. The law should mandate that they should not cut the power I'd a new tenant cones in. But that will reduce govt revenue as most will be lost. How do they do it abroad? Payback young... Simple. Install free card meters in all houses and the problem wi" be solved. FG, please be serious this time. |
https://thenewkokoro.com/2020/09/15/milk-cannot-heal-ulcers/ A peptic ulcer is an open sore in the lining of either the stomach or the duodenum. Duodenum is the first part of the small intestine. Ulcers are usually painful, especially when the stomach is empty. It appears no specific foods aids the healing of ulcers. Ulcer healing takes time and medication. Some people have assumed that milk can help in healing some kind of ulcers in the stomach. That is not true. Milk may help for a while but it fundamentally stimulates the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. Hydrochloric acid in the stomach may make the ulcer to hurt more and increase in intensity. This does not suggest that you should avoid milk consumption. Take it moderately. Avoiding or reducing intake of some foods helps to soothe the effects of the ulcer. Such foods include cola, coffee, tea, fruit juices, alcohol, chocolate, garlic, chili, black pepper, etcetera. Bloating, belching, heartburn, vomiting and weight loss are what one observes when one has an ulcer. Black stools may be produced when a person has a bad ulcer that bleeds. Ulcers are not caused by stress. What causes ulcer more is an imbalance of gastric juices referred to as pepsin. This is caused when Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) infects the stomach. Using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for a long period may also cause an ulcer. Such drugs include aspirin, ibuprofen, etcetera. A number of prescription non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs might cause ulcers too. Symptoms of ulcer are pain or burning sensation in the middle of the abdomen. The pain may become more intense when the stomach is empty, weight loss, loss of appetite due to pain, dull or sharp pain in the stomach, acid reflux or burping, heartburn, pain that gets away after eating, dark tarry stools, anaemia, bloody vomits. In summary, consult your physician for appropriate tests and medications if you feel ulcer symptoms. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CveIZLjCmw0 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal, 2 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man. 3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy. 4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell? 5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. 7 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: 8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: 9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain. 10 Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty. 11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. 12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. 13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. 14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. 15 The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: 16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough. 17 The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it. 18 There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not: 19 The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid. 20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness. 21 For three things the earth is disquieted, and for four which it cannot bear: 22 For a servant when he reigneth; and a fool when he is filled with meat; 23 For an odious woman when she is married; and an handmaid that is heir to her mistress. 24 There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: 25 The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; 26 The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks; 27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands; 28 The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces. 29 There be three things which go well, yea, four are comely in going: 30 A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any; 31 A greyhound; an he goat also; and a king, against whom there is no rising up. 32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth. 33 Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife. |

Lawyers are legal luminaries. They are interpreters of the law. They help to settle disputes and bind people in agreement. They are invaluable. They defend their counsel in the court of law. Lawyers are professionals. they can work in virtually all places. Everyone needs a lawyer for legal advise at some point. Lawyers with an educational background in Nigeria must successfully conclude a five-year undergraduate programme in law from any Nigerian University that has an accredited Faculty of Law and obtain a Bachelors in Law degree (LLB). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84-LUbCGxTo |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCKzMVZ6VXY He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. 2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. 3 Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance. 4 The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it. 5 A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet. 6 In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice. 7 The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it. 8 Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath. 9 If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest. 10 The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul. 11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. 12 If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked. 13 The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the Lord lighteneth both their eyes. 14 The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever. 15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame. 16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall. 17 Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul. 18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. 19 A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer. 20 Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him. 21 He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length. 22 An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression. 23 A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. 24 Whoso is partner with a thief hateth his own soul: he heareth cursing, and bewrayeth it not. 25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. 26 Many seek the ruler's favour; but every man's judgment cometh from the Lord. 27 An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked. |

https://thenewkokoro.com/2020/09/04/lionel-messi-makes-u-turn-to-stay-in-barcelona-fc/ Messi said he will be staying in Barcelona this season as his family are not happy with his decision to leave. He said his son, Thiago wept and asked him not to leave the club. He said he felt emotional and more than anything else he decided to stay for his family. Thirty-three (33) year old Messi confirmed that he would play for Barcelona still in the evening of Friday. Messi had submitted his transfer documents about 10 days earlier. The Argentine star wanted to leave because he was not happy with the way the club owners were handling certain matters. The goal scoring and dribbling star was initially considering moving to Manchester City. Messi’s market value is 112 million Euros. His contract will expire on the 30th of June, 2021. Messi is a right winger who can also play centre-forward and is a second striker. Prophet T. B. Joshua of Nigeria had earlier warned that it was not good for Messi to leave Barcelona in bitterness. He now wants to stay and leave Barca later without any mess. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8qlXzW85qo 28 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. 2 For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged. 3 A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food. 4 They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them. 5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things. 6 Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich. 7 Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father. 8 He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor. 9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. 10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession. 11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out. 12 When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden. 13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. 14 Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief. 15 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people. 16 The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days. 17 A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him. 18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once. 19 He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough. 20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. 21 To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress. 22 He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him. 23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue. 24 Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer. 25 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat. 26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. 27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse. 28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase. |

The current VC of UNILAG have proved again the saying that ‘what a man can do a woman can do better”. The Ag. Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos is a record breaker. Prof. Folasade Ogunsola is her name. She is the first female to become a Vice Chancellor at the University of Lagos. Prof. Ogunsola broke the about 3 score years record of male dominance in the Vice Chancellorship of UNILAG. She earlier broke the record of being the first female Provost of the College of Medicine of the University. Prof. Ogunsola had her education at the University of Wales, University of Lagos (Unilag) and Obafemi Awolowo University OAU) . She is a Medical Microbiologist who has several research works/outputs in the area of infectious diseases, antibiotic resistance, HIV/AIDS, disease control and prevention. Chief John Momoh has been appointed as the Acting Pro Chancellor of the University of Lagos. This appointment came some hours after the Senate of the University elected the Acting Vice Chancellor. Chief Momoh is the Presidemt of Unilag Alumni association. He is the Chairman and chief executive of Channels Television. Chief Momoh has been a member of the council for some time. He has been on the council as the representative of the alumni association. His appointment came a few days after Dr. Babalakin (SAN), the former Pro Chancellor was asked to stay clear of he activities of the University of Lagos by the Federal Government. this is due to the crisis of interest between him and the University’s Vice chancellor who was asked to step aside too. John Momoh is to preside at the meetings of council for now. The Registrar was copied in the appointment of Chief John Momoh. It is hoped that the University will settle down for research, teaching and community service for which it is know. https://thenewkokoro.com/2020/08/25/chief-john-momoh-is-new-unilag-ag-pro-chancellor/ |
