omonnakoda: What military force did he deploy? Why do people like deceiving themselves?
Was there for one day any state of emergency declared in Niger Delta? Was any governor displaced?
Asari was incarcerated and NOTHING happened. The amnesty programme was a face saving programme and these touts just got lucky that Yar adua died and a mumu became president and now you want to rewrite a story we all witnessed?
If the crumbs they received is what the whole Delta struggle was about then the whole Delta should be ashamed. Anyway Ijaws are not the Delta and Delta is not Ijaw.
The real question is WHY DID THEY ACCEPT the amnesty programme and what would have happened if they did not ? That is exactly the position we are in now and we shall soon find out. Talk is very cheap CHAI! OBIOMA!. To answer your real question on why they accepted the amnesty programme. Simple answer is because the government offered it and they were sensible enough to see that it was better for them. On what would have happened if they did not accept it? Fighting with the millitants would have continued and oil production would have been hindered and revenue to the FG coffers will have reduced. I wished Boko haram also comes out to accept the amnesty and then end bombings and killings but e be like say sense different. Am just saying based on newspaper analysis sha. OBIOMA grin!! |

Which farm is now producing forex for the country? Which state is now producing minerals and generating forex? How can you base your comments on PLAN TO, WE WILL, WE SHALL in this information age and time? Even if oil gets to $1 the country will still make money from it. Do you know what oil is? No seeding, just explore and purify and repeat and FG make money! Do you think the talk about agric, etc is serious one? Untll then I rest my case! |

jomoh: Can you produce the exact statement he made and analyse how it amounted to threat to the peace of the nation. BTW make sure it can be backed by evidence that he actually made the statement.
I don't mean a video evidence. I just want to make sure its not a statement wrongly and/or maliciously credited to him.
Note that if anybody ever made such statement and went scot free without been arrested or prosecuted, it os the fault of the CSO of the state as at the time who's responsibility it is to make sure people don't get away with such inflammatory statements.
Meanwhile am waiting for the said statement credited to him in 2011. What is wrong if its a video evidence? Anyway, this thread about Tompolo, I feel Tompolo made his statement in a better way and this was snapped out of it. Why don't you check the contex and full statement before making comments too? |

No need to panic, the naira will rebound in no distant time. Wailers this one no be food for una so just chill and keep sipping your cup of burukutu Are you a novice to naira:dollar. When it goes up it has not come down for the past 30 years. Reason: No export, only plenty imports. Thats the main reason and recently the US raised their interest rates which strengthened the dollar. #1 will equal $1 when the currency is reconstructed like Ghana did. But its still the same and better that way. |

Jonathan should be left to enjoy his deserved peace I can't believe this is coming from a sane being! 1. Does it occur to you that we are talking about $2.1 billion public funds being stolen by few? 2. Does it occur to you that some of the culprits have admitted taking the monies and indicted Jonathan? 3. Does it occur to you that our Soldiers were poorly equipped and sent to war front to combat well armed Terrorists and our soldiers and civilians were being slaughtered while Monies meant to equip the soldiers were being shared by cronies of Jonathan? 4. Does it occur to you that point 3 above tantamount to War Crime, and Jonathan can be persecuted for war crimes if any one takes up this case to international Court of Justice? 5. Does it occur to you that Olissa Mettuh has boldly claim that N400milion was paid to him by Jonathan as payment for a private deal he did for Jonathan? Does it occur to you that the source of the alleged monies was public funds and definitely not Jonathan's money?
Am greatly dismayed that people can't overcome their gullible sentiments in the face of glaring truth. Nigeria is continually corrupt because ithe very citizens that are supposed to hold public officials accountable are the very ones defending these corrupt officials and emboldening them to engage in their practices. So long as the government is a product of its citizenry, the people will always deserve the kind of govt they have. 1 simple question for U. Where did APC got their campaign money from? How much dollar was Atiku distributing before Amaechi arrived with 10,000 dollar in each envelope? And that paved way for Buha! be critical and logical please. Thank me later. |

I have been looking at this post all day. The dislike and disrespect for Jonathan knows no bound. Haba! Yaradua was sick, these enemies of Goodluck prevented him from acting. Eventually he acted. Yaradua died, these enemies prevented him from leading as president. Eventually he lead. He contested election in 2011 and won. You guys made the country ungovernable for him. Eventually he reigned and completed his tenure. He contested again in 2015, his enemies rigged and rolled and won. He knew it was rigged but he kept quiet and even congratulated the other. You guys said he was afraid and a weakling. Now he handed over peacefully, the first time in the history of Africa when an incumbent will concede defeat. And he is leading his quiet and good life, enemies are after him again. Anything he says now will be misinterpreted. Enemies of Goodluck should face the new government with DEFEATING BOKO HARAM IN 2 WEEKS PROMISE, MAKING $1=#1, PAYMENT OF #5000 TO THE UNEMPLOYED, DISOBEYING COURT INJUCTIONS, ETC. WHERE ARE THE BRING BACK OUR GIRLS CRUSADERS? HOW MUCH DO YOU BUY FUEL NOW DESPITE THE WORLD WIDE CRASH IN PRICE?
After 7 months, no show yet and the poster is diverting attention here and there.
Face reality, think of how to better your life and Nigeria and leave Jonathan alone!
Thank me later. |

BDC continues. They will source their dollar or foreign currencies from autonomous sources. The dollar price will be up still. As demand will be more than supply. And note that the commercial banks will make it available to the BDC via the back door. Now they accept cash deposits of dollar again! Na wa o. |

datopaper: My own candid opinion nnamdi kanu should not have been arrested in first place. But government should release him. And dialogue with ipob. because this agitation will not stop as long as buhari is still Nigeria president. As long as pre. buhari confirmed that he is ready to have open dialogue with boko haram, now that they have become canker worm. He should do that with nnamdi. The problem is that immediately he do that with kanu, another group will also come either SE, Sw, NE or any. Dialogue again with any one of them. So that you can succeed. I wish you success in the session of love, sharing and happiness. Nairaland people, we have turned everything to play. Some people don't even need to say things here. Maybe in romance section or others. But not governmental process. Please abeg do not come for me. Nay only me waka come. No be only you waka come. Buhari needs to be diplomatic. Since he has agreed to dialogue with Boko Haram, he should dialogue with Nnnamdi Kanu and IPOB too. When other groups come he should dialogue with them too. He should keep dialoguing and keep running his government smoothly and then 4 years is gbam, completed. This is the formula in peaceful homes. You keep dialoguing and after a while your lover knows you and will vouch for you anytime. DIALOGUE NOW! |

THAT IS WHY WE TOLD YOU PEOPLE THAT B.1.A.F.R.A IS NOT ABOUT CRUDE OIL BUT ABOUT addressing THE WICKEDNESS OF THE CRIMINAL/ROGUE COUNTRY CALLED NIGERIA.
THE IGBOS ARE DOING WONDERS WITHOUT OIL. The Hausa's were doing fine with groundnut before oil and the Yoruba's same with cocoa. This approach too Nigeria's problem will not help the Igbos. There must be a better way for Igbos to present their case. Hate speeches and thoughts for the Hausa's and Yoruba's will continue to affect the Igbos. Who are the customers of the Igbos? If their is no Hausa and Yoruba will only the Igbos produce and sell to themselves? Okonjo Iweala, Pius Anyim, etc are Igbos and participated in the past government. We have many Igbos in government today too. Why are you seeing Igbos as neglected and sidelined? Wake up and settle and move on with your lives. Bottom line is that HATE SPEECHES should be stopped. Let bygone be bygone. Forgive and move ahead. |
