The article did not mention mis-management by Doctors, yes I don't mean traditional birth attendants but trained medical doctors who you believed they know what they are doing.
I experienced no 2,caused by retained products of conception but mismanagement by a govt owned hospital almost cost my life. It's time Nigeria take this issues serious;there should be adequate sensitization of women on this issues and actions to take. Thanks OP for sharing.

seizethaBae Love is a choice not a feeling. Likeness is a feeling. And even at that love is not enough for marriage. Look for an intelligent, responsible and God fearing man as you said. However have it in mind that there is no perfect guy out there. Pls watch the movie ' The Perfect Guy' it's a 2015 black American movie.

Coldfeet:
@Amhappy Generally babies are not suppose to be exposed to a lot of people so just keep physical contact to the minimal especially people with a cold! There's a test done to see if the baby has immune to TB(heaf test) or you just wait it out till six months to see if it scar's.

Note skin type can also be a reason for a no scar Bcg not necessarily that it didn't work.
Thanks dear for this lots of info,I will ask abt this test at the clinic,if it's cost effective I won't mind doing it just for my mind to be at rest.

Bcg na oga for leaving scar in fact I heard if it doesn't means it didn't work.

Iya e don tey o! How's Moyo and sis?
Still On BCG. my DD took and till today no scar. She's 11weeks. And something happened the day she took as I was keenly watching the nurse and doubted if the injection entered her body. I have reported at the center and they said if no scar till 6months it will be repeated. Is it necessary to reduce contact with people before the 6months assuming the scar did not appear? Onegai thanks for the response. Rivers is giving pcv free but not rota just found out during my dd 10weeks immunization today. What you said about our govt is so true. They take advantage of us,individuals follow suit because they know nothing will happen. Poor legal system is the biggest undoing of this country. People do not take responsibilities or face the consequences of their action. How do we get the govt to do something about making rota free? Also is it late to start giving Rota @ 10weeks?

AlphaHandMaiden:
Sneezing is just a sign that something is irritating her sinuses. You cant really medicate for that except it is caused by something like hayfever.
The culprit could easily be dust.
Get a saline nasal spray or drops and use for her
It helps to lubricate the nasal passage.

You could also use a damp cotton bud to clean the outter part of her nostrils (PLEASE DONT DIP IT IN HER NOSE OH) you can do this after her bath as water would have gotten in ther nostrils and it will be damp and easy to clean.

With any antibiotic... if the cough is mild and is not caused by a bacterial infection... it is not going to do anything.
Please dont medicate un-neccesarily with antibiotics. As you are likely to build up a resistance to it if you dont take the right does or complete it as instructed. If you get another infection.. the usual doses or meds may not work.

Keep giving her fluids to lubricate her throat and let her cough... it is the body's way of removing unwanted things.

If it is still persistent go see a peadiatrician, to listen to her chest and check her throat if they can.

And when she clocks 3 months you can get her calpol cough syrup for babies or you can try the palm oil remedy if you want to. Just dip your lilttle finger in it and let her suck it off.
Thanks swt for this detailed explanation. I for one dislike indiscriminate taking of antibiotics. I have placed her on vit c,more warm water and Menthol balm mixed with ori and she's better. God bless you for the help

I will suggest you just give her vit c ,and cover her up well, cos of the weather, you can massage her with metholatum too at the back, rib cage and chest region.
For the sugar and oil thing,av used it too and it worked, but if you are going to use it make sure its st. Lious sugar and don't give within 2-3 hours with other drug as oil tend to disrupt the potency of drugs and might cause her to throw up.
Thank you dex I have done part one and is working so far.

My 2months plus 2weeks daughter is sneezing and coughing. The cough is occasional but the sneezing is kind of frequent. A nurse recommended ampiclox drop but I just read about it online and cough was not mentioned. My mum think I should get ampicillin drop that it's mild since the cough is not serious. Experienced mamas I need ur input abeg. My I even wan try sugar and red oil but I'm not sure if it stops sneezing or only cough.

I can testify to this I was initially reluctant to try d breastmilk and was given chloramphenicol in the hospital but after finishing it d discharge was still there. 6 weeks later I was given an ointment to rub directly into baby's eyes in the hospital but I couldn't take that risk n so I started researching then I read about using breastmilk 6 times daily . I only used it about 5 times which were immediately I finish feeding him and it cleared under 1 day
Pls how do you drop it? Directly from the breast or using something?

My battery was down but I have finally gone through all the suggestions and I'm so grateful. Thank you great mothers. The burden has lightened kiss kiss kiss to you sweet and noble mamas. I will do all I could to settle this amicably,so help me God.

@ chizeal I be once thought about that crazy tip of yours but shelved it. It's still in the pipeline though. As for child protection, even my husband have seen the crazy side of me when it comes to DD. I even made it clear to DH during preggie days that my compromise on this will end the day DD will be born. I will do what I must do.

@ahnie I told DH yesterday that I will activate that option, just waiting for his sister to show this week. I spoke to my guest once on the matter when I noticed he's not making any move and he said DH told him nothing. I will not speak to him again as u said.

I guess u must have a big house to accommodate two house guests of different sexes then. New mama's who don't want house guests take an advise and rent small and increase later. Who wan follow me stay my mini flat? Will get two bedroom soon then stay there till we build.
I also see u are feeling like u are sharing your husband, don't sweat it, take it gradually.
My dear it's just frustrating. We live in 2bedroom and he uses the palour and even our room sometimes so imagine how inconveniencing it is for all of us. There is a lot of things I can't say here. It's just a miracle that I no get high BP during preggie days. I just think it's time for him to move on in peace.

@runsaway My dear I took it as a service to God too, however the period has expired. My spirit started telling me that since last Dec. They were two before now,the lady move out in May.

My guest does GNLD work and have refused to get a regular job. He's not even searching,he believe that network marketing is all he needs.

He helps out with few chores not regularly anyway. I do most chores in my house,my DH is hardly home. Like there was a day my gas was leaking,my guest was home when it happened but he dressed and left home while I dropped baby to run around to get help. We get along well and there are no other major issues. However I feel he's not serious with his life and his influence on my DH is bad. He's a single man with little responsibilities, rolling with a married man. All they talk about is politics, football, university day and of course old girl friends. Whenever I brought up a serious family issue DH runs out to start their usual discussion.

@ amhappy.......by default the wife takes the blame for every action taken.even if he helps financially and otherwise i think he should be encourage to have an apartment of his own and start getting things gradually.i think you should stop loaning money to cater for them except it is so necessary.just be careful and apply wisdom cos i for one prefer departing with people in peace.
My dear I prefer departing in peace too that's why I have let it be all this while. He doesn't contribute financially. I was even buying bathing soap for him or he will be secretly using mine. I have to start hiding detergent,my hair cream etc,it now a burden.
