Ahmadu Bello seeked secession for the North to have a country of their own, this was the very first individual in the entire state of Nigeria to call for a separate country. Several years after, the north took up the agenda again and this time it was through Muhammad Yusuf the then leader of Boko Haram who started alongside others who felt betrayed by the current system of governance of the country therefore he alongside others began an agitation for an independent state of the north where their people could live breaking away from those who aren't of Islam whom they consider as infidels, instead of the government looking at the cause of the sudden agitation years after that of the northern regional leader, they because of somewhat uncertainty of how the entire country would take it if they came open in support because this is the average stand of a Muslim seeing all having the same faith as himself so as to not pronounce it open as a northen agenda, they choosed to in the night be a friend and the day an enemy of the then sect.

Years after in the east too, the very issue that that ignited the course for Biafria; ethic division, marginalization and favoritism has not been set aside for a true federation therefore just like Ojukwu felt uncomfortable with the Nepotism of the igbo and the entire people of the Eastern region which prompted Aburi accord which was not honoured for Biafra to come, today we have Nnamdi Kanu taking up the course with others before him.

An Akwa Ibom man doesn't find an easterner a brother likewise the Ijaw or the Urogbo man.

Theres is today so much division in the country yet our youths who doesn't dream of tasting a better life have failed to understand that life could be more than this if we dropped all the ethnic sentiments of the past aside and choose to forge for a greater and better future which we would own taking power away from the very people that has led us thus far into division and won't stop at it.

Everyday, I see youths come out to talk politics while referring to history and the what occures in the past without referring to what motives which the politics of our yesterday was introduced instead they aim to be like them, to appear with big agbada while having their fellow countryman hold for them, an umbrella without a moment of thought of leadership is all about or what is expected of his office to do ofwhich the next man close to him could ever live more if presented with open opportunities of equal standard to strive, if the next man can ever have an idea to bring together two entity and make up an innovation putting up his country flag as a sign of honour and gratefulness for opportunities the country has presented him, no! It is quite becoming an impediment that the walls of the country is only being held by the elites of the society who has all their investment in all nooks and crannies of the country, to them the need for the country to stick together is quite understood but for the poor man in the street of Lagos who wakes up everyday to find himself in a political discourse at a newspaper stand, what do you think would be his reason for the country not to break where everyone would return to their own region and live amongst their own people with common heritage and history?

Would the reason rather be the hope to secure a better healthcare when he is old? Sorry to bother you guys about my odeal,long story cut short.

I am being owed by my employer two months salary of about 60,000 and I resigned when he couldn't pay in the third month, ave given him Grace period of a month but he still hasn't been able to pay.

His excuse: he said he had spent so much preparing for N power training which our office is one of the approved center for the training and that when he gets the first disbursement of the fund all his workers would be paid that is to say our fate for psympay is tied down to payment for the N-Power project but before I started work with him as a tutor I was warned he doesn't pay salaries that most of his staff always go forgetting about the payment but mhen! I can't forget this one o cause I needed the money to pay my school fees so I can go ahead with clearance.

Since this is a quite interesting thread focused at development let me also make my own submission here which I have been asking for an audience with my local government chairman to explain this module to him after sending him diverse PDF about my thoughts.

It would take a serious leader not less than 8 years to rebuild the whole of Nigeria if leadership is taken as per what it should be, how do I mean?

Firstly, a very common problem with Nigeria is:

(1) Housing System
(2) Unequal wealth distribution
(3) Educational funding
(4) Industrial capacities.


• Housing System:
You would agree with me that Nigeria as a country lacks a poor housing system and infact we don't even build our houses as per how our different cities is planned (that's if we even have a modern plan for it) .What the government should do is to take up the resposresponsibi of providing modern houses in line with global housing system (a housing system is dufferdif from that which is practiced in Nigeria o, not an estate you build and put a fence, fencing doesn't beautify a state but rather advertises a gap between different tiers of the society; poor and rich.) which would automatically give us a new look and then embrace a tenency system where individuals pay some form of taxes as rent for the houses and there sign a private housing act making building of houses by individuals very strict that way government can gain control of our entire town planning/how our settlement would be arranged which is the responsibilities of the ministry of lands and housing.

If we can arrange our settlement probably without unnecessary segregation you'd discover that we will create pathway for a good road network to be established which that should be the responsibilities of the local gigovernme which is already stipulated in the constitution, the local government should provide funding for development through the local government development council for building of roads and health centers.....

It is quite sad that at this point in time we keep having so called intellectuals who'd raise from criticism to government as the likes of Hadiza but when they get into power prove that activism isn't equal to expertiee.

If you are alienated to security issues around the world, you'd understand that most of the military artillery Nigeria gets are much more like old and expired ones which they keep complaining about after they've purchased it at lower cost so to pocket the rest of the cash which this equipment are abandoned war artillery from the world war by the Soviet Union as such when you put in consideration what Nigeria should be spending you'd realise that we haven't even gotten to where we ought to be in terms of security, imagine spending so much to rehabilitate the National assembly and paying those mafos in the assembly so much when infact such money could be diverted into our secuisec units, not until Nigerians get serious with issue of leadership 50 years to come, our children will keep talking trash about insecurity and the rest of it .

People should be asking this man the measures he would put in place for this and if he would grant the local government their autonomy else na another lagoon Dem wan enter so..

We need more state restructuring than federal.
