Good morning mummies... please my baby is weighing 2.2kg at 35 weeks. Please is the weight normal, my doctor said it’s nothing to worry about but I feel it’s on the low side, what can I do about it please?

Hello Mama, my baby was 2.3kg at 33 weeks. After going for scan at 35 weeks I was very optimistic that the baby will add significant weight as before but guess what? The weight dropped to 2.1kg.

Doctor said I shouldn't worry much. They scheduled for another growth scan at 37 weeks and if there is a decline or insignificant weight gain then my baby will have to make her grand entrance early.

Don't worry too much. It is better for the baby to be in for as long as possible. You just keep on eating healthy and take note of any change in movement, bleeding and all.

My whole pregnancy journey was really uneventful, everything was just the way it was supposed to be, I had been praying and tapping into the anointing of painless delivery as well. So when I was 40 weeks and my doctor suggested a membrane sweep, I was happy as I couldn't wait to meet my LO. On the 29th September, I went for the sweep and went home to wait for labour to begin, not knowing that DD had already decided she wanted to come already. I was already in labour but I didn't know. I went home, made soup, washed my clothes with the intention of going to dance the baby out in church on Sunday. I was in pain, but I attributed it to the sweep... until Saturday night, I couldn't sleep, contractions were hitting every 10 mins, I still didn't know I was in Labour, I was expecting mucus plug nd water breaking to happen (FTM). On Sunday morning, I called my doctor nd told him I was having serious Braxton hicks nd if it was okay for me to take paracetamol, he okayed it and said I should come to the hospital if it gets worse. By 1:30pm I started having fever... with the pain, so I went to the hospital(without my bags o). I told them they should fine me something to take to bring my temperature down... the midwife looked at me and said she wants to do a VE . .. I said ok.. as I sat on the exam table, my water broke.. with mucus plug nd all... she smiled nd said congratulations, ure in labour.... that was by 2pm. They took me to the labour room nd asked me to walk around... I kept walking nd walking nd for the next 8 hrs I was still 4cm dilated... with back to back contractions o... then they used oxytocin... I saw fire from 10pm to about 3am... baby wasnt descending nd was getting distressed.... I was just 7cm dilated then. I begged nd begged for a CS cos I felt something was wrong. Finally by 4am I was cut open and they discovered that the cord was wrapped around my baby's neck twice... and the more she tried to descend, the tighter it got. Amniotic fluid was gone nd she had even pooed. I was told that if she had stayed for 30 more mins or so, it would have been too late for her. So help me thank my Jehovah overdo for not letting my 9 months journey be in vain. Help me thank God for my strong woman.

I'm so happy you are having a princess teamie. Princesses are so pretty and easy to dress up. I'm team green although I have been tempted several times to find out the sex.

Thank God you don't have Vjay pressure yet cos that thing, hmm... I can't just explain it. And I'm so sorry about the back pain. DH can help in massaging the pain.

One mama here suggested a method whereby you are in a sitting position while he stands before you and throws his hands at your back as if he wants to lift you up but instead massages your back with his hands in that position. Your arms should be both around his neck. Hope I got the description right

In my own case, mopping the floor got rid of my back pain far tey. I do so twice in a week.
Being on weekly visits is good so that they can keep a close watch until pretty princess arrives in great health.

Ohhh how I love you teamie. Thank you for being such an inspiration. Anxiety wouldn't let me to be team green o hahahhaaa. But either way, our LOs are always a special gift.

I have screenshot this method of massage to show him hahahaha that its from my special doctor and we will definitely try it.

You know what? something happened last night. I started mopping the floor for no just reason and it just occured to me now that I didn't have as much pain on my back. Hmmmmmmm I will definitely try mopping again to confirm this our special theory.

I have placenta previa that has refused to resolve and have been hospitalized and transfused. I'm still on admission now. My doctors are waiting till I get to 36 weeks for elective CS.
How are you holding up? You complained about your baby not growing as should a few weeks ago. How are you now? Hope everything is OK with you and baby?

I am also holding on. I am like "baby stay in, hang in there lets just get to 36weeks" and so far so good.
They are still keeping a close eye.

Less than two weeks to 36weeks sis. Our stories will definitely end in praise by the special grace of God.

On my part, I am ready for this my baby. E dey do me like say na November we just entered.
But the pressure on my Vjay no be here o. When I wake up from sleep, the thing will seem like it wants to fall out. Hmm...

I thank God for the journey so far. I'm now on biweekly appointment at UPTH and thank God the strike has been called off.

We are all going to meet our los in perfect health and joy with plenty money.

Yes ooo. I concur mama, its just as if we have entered November. No vjay pressure yet but my back hurts so much and the number of toilet visits have trippled.
I am still on weekly visits due to the initial challenge and from the look of things I'll be on that routine till I offload.

I can't wait for the glorious end of this beautiful journey

Hello mama, start using it immediately because it contains folic acid and other essential vitamins that are very mportant in the first 12weeks of pregnancy.
Preferrably, use pregnacare with omega-3

Good morning mamas! Hmm.... Allah gives and Allah takes! Am hurting sisters, am really hurting but who am I to say no when God has decreed a thing.

I went for a second opinion and truly my baby is no more. IUFD(intra uterine fetal death) according to the two scans. Remember when I was 6weeks n went for scan, they said d fetus is sharing same space with a submucous myoma,apparently the fibroid grew big and kind of suffocated the fetus.

Alhamdulillah for the experience,after 8yrs of trying I was able to carry a child in my womb for 19weeks, I know am not barren and this just proves it.

Greater things ahead for me, will look into how to get rid of this fibroid then I will try again, I won't give up. I need all d prayers I can get from u all as I go for evacuation.

I love u all and wish my lovely team mates and all wonderful mama safe delivery. N one will suffer any loss inshaAllah. It's well with u all.

Meanwhile, you should take a very cold drink like water, coke or anything, then lie down still on your left side with your knees a bit bend for two hours. This will trigger the baby
Within this time, your baby should be able to move like 10times. Just take note of it, no matter how faint the movement is.
It is well with you and your LO mama

We are seriously counting down to November.
We are now in week 33, 32, 31, 30, and 29.

Teamies hope we have all shopped and planning to pack?
Remember that the basic things needed at this point is a place for baby to sleep, what to wear and feeding.

If money is an issue, please get OK clothes, wash with dettol and iron when dry.

For baby bed, you can always get those folding ones that comes with net. They cost 1500 and will come in handy at the hospital too.

For feeding, they have the one that comes in a pack and cost 1500 as well. You must not go for Avent sterilising unit or other makes if you don't have the money.

You can always get ori or nkwume (shea butter) as baby's cream, cussons baby powder and oil and Blue seal vaseline.

Please no matter how small start shopping. Some people might give birth late October and so you never can tell when baby will come. Plus, shopping is best done when you still have some energy left.

For me, hmm, there is this pain that happens where I have my tail bone (bum bum bone) especially when I sit for long or wake up from sleep. The pain can be a little distracting.

My bump is looking bigger each week to the point people think I'll drop this month or expecting ejima. It is well o.

Hello mama Whyworryph and all my November Teamies, thank God for our journey so far o. I am now 32weeks plus. I have been in and out of the hospital every week since week 26.

First I noticed reduced fetal movement. This baby was just not moving... hia I got very scared and went to the hospital. They ran an EKG for the baby then ordered a scan. The baby was just lying down breathing but zero movements. The songrapher had to start singing and poking the baby hahahaha. Finally, baby came to life.

They noticed reduced blood flow and nutrients to the placenta which may affect the growth and so they had to keep a close eye. They also gave me steriods incase they need to deliver early.
So every week I go for a scan to check the blood flow and growth.

So far so good. God has been faithful. Baby is growing very well and another plus is I get to see that sweet face every week hahahaha

Our journies will end with praise and we will come out with our LO hale and hearty.

PS: please always be attentive to your baby's movements and any change.

team October, I'm out of the race,I went for my normal antenatal yesterday and the doctor couldn't find my baby's heartbeat and I was sent for scan and the scan IUFD,I was Induced yesterday by 9pm and I gave birth to my baby girl sleeping by 4:30pm

Will start next month, I feel like a normal human being now, just that I started having one kind of wicked headache since yesterday that lasts all day. I took PCM for it but will be going to the hospital tomorrow, make I know wetin dey do me. DH said he read somewhere that it is normal, mbok how can headache be normal?

At your stage, I was having similar headaches too. First of all you need to check your Bp to rule that out and secondly as someone advised me here then, just use a wet clothe on your forehead or at the back of your head. Lie still and relax. It helps a lot.
With time, the headache too will phase out.
