I think the "group" thing is a good idea. I'll give an example.

If you pick someone from Obosi or Nkpor and ask where he is from, he would likely say his town and then add Idemili, not Onicha, undecided though they share boundaries with Onicha. undecided If you pick a person from Ukpor or Amichi, he would say he is from Nnewi first before his town. So what do you say to that? There are more towns claiming Nnewi or Anaedo than many groups on this map. That's just the way it is.

You have to identify people the way they want.
In that case, Ogbaru should be part of Onicha then.

The reasons you gave were the ones IBB used to deceive Nigerians, the main reasons he came to power was to preserve himself from being tried by Idiagbon.

The reasons I gave was what actually happened. Ask those who were born by then.
Isinweke is my home town and I do post from this town as well.

Can the thread "The True Extent Of Alaigbo (Igboland)" be moved back into the politics section. it does not belong in the Racism, Tribalism, and Sectarianism section. The thread deals with clear cut politics, some that even dates back to the 1800s(documents). Pls it should be moved back to the politics section.
Wonders shall never end.
I know Jarus can never do such a thing.

PoliticsRe: Why IBB Toppled Buhari's Government In 1985. by AndreUweh(m): 3:28pm On Sep 08, 2010
Buhari's regime was fond of humiliating Nigerians who were let to work or could not sing national anthems. A lot of civil servants were flogged with koboko wipes, some were forcefully knelt down for hours.
The regime was so barbaric that IBB had to come in.
PoliticsRe: Why IBB Toppled Buhari's Government In 1985. by AndreUweh(m): 11:55am On Sep 08, 2010
Buhari's regime wielded absolute power unnecessarily. For example a shop owner could be beaten up for price of a commodity which the military felt was excessive. Using wrong tactics to control inflation.

Gross human right abuse.
They were jailing people for 70 years, 105 years etc.
Even innocent politicians like Ekwueme were locked up.

ARROBA:
@Katsumoto:
Like I said previously, I don't care why he said it. I am not about to pontificate. I will stick to facts.
1. Balewa was abducted by Ifeajuna
2. Balewa was found dead
3. There are official accounts which state that Balewa was shot by Ifeajuna
4. Mbu was not present at Balewa's murder.
5. Mbu is making these claims knowing fully well that ALL actors in that episode are dead.

All the actors are not dead. Captain Ben Gulie, Nwaobosi and I think Ademoyega are still alive
Ademoyega is dead as well. He died 2/3 years ago.
You know in Nigeria anything goes. People are bribed to give falsified evidence. For example Bola Ige's murder. Those who claimed the saw bullet wounds on Tafawa's decomposed body might have lied because Ndigbo were involved. Only God knows.

I'm not really seeing this 'divisive mission' by anyone, I just see people who have put their people's interests and well being first and have a strong loyalty to their culture (sorry to disappoint anyone, but that's usually the mentality of 98% of Igbo people). Can someone repost some posts where they are trying to divide the Igbo instead of accusing people up and down? Now the pack is moving onto other users and accusing them of fake accounts? Come on. undecided
@Ezeagu, it will be waste of time digging up those annoying post. I have had battles with him over that issue. At one certain point, he was writing in Ngwa dialect to me to display how different they are from others.

Chinenye believes there is no need for a nunited Igbo. He feels Igbo is a recent creation. He feels Ngwa should be on her own like Ikwerre. He also feels Etiti, Mbano, Owerri, Mbaise, Ndoki, Umuahia etc should be separate Ethnic nationalities.
@ChinenyeN, even the Yorubas who forged a more recent unity are fond of their Yorubaness.

Mbaise, Etiti and Mbano are southern Igbo groups. In Imo state politicss, no group has lorded over other groups.
