What makes you feel that Chinua Achebe is interested in nobel prize for literature?. |
Pat Utomi is a proud Igbo. Ndigbo are proud of him. His identity is not questionable. Last four years, The highest Igbo elite organisation-Aka Ikenga voted en-masse to support Utomi's presidential ambition. Utomi is one of the most honoured and decorated man in Igboland. Amongst all the presidential contestants so far, Utomi is the best candidate. But in Nigeria, there have never been any time that the best candidate won. What a shame. |
Does Ikedi Ohakim deserve another four years as Gov. of Imo state?. |
Ohakim picks form for 2011 governorship race Published on 21 September 2010 with 5 comments [Post a Comment] EMMA OGU, Owerri Governor Ikedi Ohakim of Imo state has picked a form for the primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2011 Imo governorship race. He has also submitted the form at the partys secretariat on Okigwe road, Owerri. It could not be confirmed at press time if any other aspirant has purchased the form to challenge Ohakim in the poll. However, unconfirmed reports said Senator Ifeanyi Araraume had also picked a form. Ohakim was quoted in a statement by his chief press secretary, Mr. Henry Ekpe as saying that he was seeking to serve the people of the state for another term of four years, pointing out that he has nothing to do with the issue of waiver by the party. I want to state here that I have come here to submit my form to run for a second term as the governor of Imo state. Waiver or no waiver has nothing to do with me. The statement said Ohakim will formally declare on September 28, at Dan Anyiam stadium, Owerri. I will speak on September 28, 2010. That is the day I will tell Imo people I am running for a second term. Others have been speaking but that day I will speak, he said. On the issue of PDP executive in the state, Ohakim said Imo PDP has only one executive led by Prince Marcon Nlemigbo. There is no problem in Imo people. You can see everybody here happy and smiling. There are no bottles or stones flying about. Imo PDP is in peace. If some people stormed out of the party, they also have the right to storm back, he said. http://www.champion.com.ng/displaycontent.asp?pid=549 |
mikeansy:It does not matter, what we are saying is that there should be balance of states in all the geo-political zones. |
To the moderators: Is it no longer against forum rules to post in ethnic languages other than in English?. Day in day out, Ileke Idi, and co derail Igbo topics with Yoruba postings. Should we all start doing that?. |
Delta Igbo people, please always remember your motto-Ofu obi bu ike anyi. Let it be your guiding principle. Long live Ndi Delta Igbo.

Aka gbajie igwe, ujo atugbuo osisi. |
udezue:Thank you. Anything Igbo scares the hell out of his life. |
I'm not dragging him into anything,i only intimate you of his view or is max a god that i can't make reference to ?
Anyway, Nwawo is an Igboma and fought in defence of his kins. He does not regret it. So you guys should let him be. Almost all the Igbo in Delta fought on Biafran side e.g Okwechime, Achuzia, Anuku etc. |
mens dept:Stop insulting Iwuanyanwu. He is entitled to his own opinion. Why not talk about the 1991 Ohanaeze demand of Anioma state that was led by Akanu Ibiam?. Ol boy, wetin do you?. |
ezeagu:Word. |
Please do not get Max involved in this instance because he is not a tribalist. The tribalists here know themselves. |
Why wait till 2015 to climb into Asaba state house. Why not this 2011. 2015, if at all Delta Igbo will still be in Delta State. |
I do not really pray to live long to be worthless. . .all i do pray is to make an impact even if i'm to live for a day.so you can take back your curses.
Then, let the tribalists live the man alone. |
Long live Anioma people and the entire Igbo people.

Nwaka77:The guy is always filled with alcohol before he logs on to Nairaland. |
What is wrong in An Igbo joining forces with his kins to fight against their enemies?. @the three tribalist posting crap here. You will never attain Nwawo's age with all this your bigotry. |
Ibru, Ibori and Uduaghan are all non-Igbo. It is high time the Igbo with their 9 LGA's in Delta state produce a governor of the state. |
TewMuch:IMPOSSIBLE. |
On Jarus I STAND. |
I hope they use the Igbo day as a means to campaign for an Igbo governor in 2011. |

Thanks Max, The in thing here is that he did not die of bullet wounds. Though, the coupist played a secondary role to his death. |
Ahu ihe ka Ubi, ere Oba-an attempt to prioritise when faced with challenges. Ubi-farm. Oba--Barn. |
Cute500:You guys are the ones that are naive. Most of the names listed as funny names are christian names e.g Praise-What is funny to call someone praise God, shortened to praise. Success-God has brought success to my life, Josephat etc are all christian names and goes a long way to show ones christian belief and up-bringing. More funny names are: Nurudeen. Zubier or Zubaru Maleek Taofeek Ahmed Lukman ETC. |
You guys should also be worried about non-Nigerian names such as : Hassan Abdul. Kasrim. Kassim. Yusuf. Idris. Waheed Habiba. Teslim. Hakeem. Mustapha Jelili And other useless mid-east names that means nothing in Nigerian culture. |
I think Seun and moderators should device a new method of admitting would be forumites. Perhaps, full and detailed assessment checks has to be carried out on intending members. Just my personal view. |
Nigerians beware of fraudsters impersonating innocent football agents to defraud up coming athletes. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-487551.0.html |

PhysicsQED:Growth rate may be sloppy, but that does not mean Nigeria has not made any progress since independence. |
In the early days of independence, Nigeria and South Korea were at per in Economic development, since then, the duo can not be weighed in the same scale. Nevertheless, Nigeria has not done too badly. Opinions please. |
