These petroleum marketers are not being honest and have not been honest from day one. Just like Mele Kyari's NNPC that once claimed they had tested Dangote's fuel and it was inferior to their blended conncoction, one needs to read between the lines and see what is happening. Clearly enough people won't be happy until they sabotage this refinery and they can go back to making money the easy way. |
Every Tom , Dick and Harry is building multi storey structures in Lagos which actually makes sense seeing the amount of people we have and the limited land....however Lagos State government must be awake to their duties to regulate as our councils and local governments are utter failures (like the rest of the country). Please, Lagos State, you need to work and show you are a leader before you allow the typical Nigerian greed to kill more and more innocent souls. |
helinues:It's like if he doesn't write something every week his family will go hungry. Someone should please advise him to retrace his steps and get back to quality pieces, and not just writing for the sake of writing. |
Lekby25:What level of understanding is it? Because someone is a tennant he doesn't deserve respect or privacy again? As long as he is not owing and legally occupied that property, the landlord has no right disturbing him especially when he has done nothing wrong. Our syndrome of "Oga" and "servant" in this country is too much...to think most people even suggested it and can't tell the difference between right and wrong is quite annoying. |
You cannot break down his door unless you have some sort of court order or reason to believe there is something criminal happening. Please don't listen to all the olodos that are telling you to break down his door. |
LegendHero:Let's be serious, a ticket of Jonathan with Kwankwanso will defeat Tinubu. This is not complicated, it is just political reality. |
So one of the kids will be an uncle or aunty to his brother or sister shey? I am pretty sure it was the daughter that was impregnated first and then her mother followed suit which makes the relationship between the children even worse. This is disgusting....and both the Mother and the guy deserved to be locked up. |
Thank God he is not black or the rest of us will not hear the last of it. Once again, white America don't fail to disappoint. |
Sheuns: Definitely has some military or professional training, unlike that baby wannabe Trump assassin...he shot him only once and went for a point of no return. I knew he couldn't survive that shot. Felt like a movie when I saw it. |
Even a broken wall clock is right twice a day....the unserious clout chaser has started making sense. |
CoronaVirusPro: You beat me to it. That's what got me posting the whole article in the first place lol. |
Instead of the world's capital of "peacetime" death & gun violence to be happy that a few intellectuals still have their stamps https://guardian.ng/news/soyinka-declines-invitation-for-u-s-visa-reinterview/

The same way New York and California keep holding The USA back...foolish people that have given themselves phd in everything but ordinary school cert leaver thinking they cannot show us. For over 100 years Nigeria was ruled by people not from Lagos, now suddenly somebody representing Lagos is in charge and Lagos has now become Public Enemy no 1, make una continue! |
Northernblood8:They are the 2nd most successful tribe in the South when it comes to wielding power.. so clearly you do not understand what true strength is |
Mynd44:Beautifully put. Thank God Yoruba history is one of the best documented around or we would be having identity crisis foisted on us by tourists regularly. |
creolehunt:You can vote for him. I don't understand, what is supposed to happen before? |
oweniwe:Realised these truths very late in life, to think na ordinary unclothedness cause this see me finish wahala wey pass Noah's son own....women sef. |
PresidentMUGABE:You people have started again, please where and when did Putin say this? |
AMINDA:Here is an example of the type of Northerner that believes Nigerians are fools and that their are no consequences for their actions. Keep on ooo oga, "born to destroy". |
Thank God both men are from the same "tribe", if not we will not rest on Nairaland as the usual combatants would be out with their weapons and AI |
Mineisgrace:The issue is not even repairing the fan, the issue is your Solar installation might likely spoil it again, and some other appliances if you are not careful. Do you know the exact make of your inverter, if not take a picture and drop it here. |
This is one of the reasons I cannot take Sowore seriously, some of the things he uses Sahara Reporters to do deserves him facing the full brunt of the law.....how can someone this reckless ever claim he wants to lead, rubbish |
Kukutente23:Again you choose to miss the point. Who is the government? What is the government? Who makes up the government? T H E P E O P L E The government did not fall from the sky. They are not aliens, they came from the same place you and I come from and bleed like you and I. Do I really need government to tell me I shouldn't cut corners to build a SCHOOL for little children? Do I need government to tell me that I should ensure whatever contract I get for this job, I am able to do fantastic job to ensure children are safe or even inspired by what I built? Oyinbo politicians are not that much different from ours. A lot are selfish and if given the chance to be corrupt and get away with it, they will. However their society is far ahead of ours not because they chose outer terrestrial Aliens as leaders, but because most people take it on their own to do their own part to ensure a decent society. When last did you hear of Oyinbo building schools that collapse. Some of us went to their schools and the structures have been standing and beautiful for more than 200 years!! To make it worse, most of their higher institutions were started by private institutions and people, from their own private pocket! Same with their religious places of worship , some older than a thousand years! We all have our part to play if we want a society that our kids will be proud of, as human beings created by God equally, we cannot continue to call GOVERNMENT for every single thing, while others have since moved on with their life. So back to the point of my original post, I was not absolving the government of blame as I had not heard their part before I posted it. However I saw clearly through his cynical attempts to blame someone else for his failing as a human being and succumbing to greed. A man of his stature had no business chasing contracts that he knew he could not execute properly, especially if it was a SCHOOL and if his name meant as much to him as he pretended it did in that video. He is the example of the typical type that rises in this country, selfish and always thinking about themselves, never thinking about what they could do to improve other people, despite knowing their success is based on Nigeria being an unfair basketcase. |
Later we will wonder why Dubai banned Nigerians, see this one with grey beard still acting like a kid....even away from home we cannot control our urges small sef, next thing person go talk "village people are responsible" |
Kukutente23:Oga it is you that is struggling to think outside the box without blaming all your problems on politicians. You heard only one side of the story and you just assumed that everything he said was 100% true without even listening to how he was indicting himself. You should be old enough to know there are always 2 sides to the story and a grown man applying theatrics is likely embellishing things For your information he accepted a contract of over N11bn to build 22 schools. Thats N500m a school with change on top. Government gave him N5bn as mobilisation fee. As bad as Nigeria is currently, N500m in Enugu is far more than enough to ensure standard structures. Go online and see the rubbish he was building that was collapsing and injuring people. So between me an you, who is the one defending people who don't care about your existence and make their money of the corrupt basketcase that is Nigeria?? Some of you just talk anyhow without even the smallest verification. |
aieromon:Can you imagine. I had not even seen this story before I suspected the buildings would be substandard from his confession on that video. Nothing is secret, we just have too many pretenders in this country. Like I said earlier, we get the kind of people we deserve. |
grandstar:Read between the lines. He admitted on the video that from DAY ONE, the cost the government wanted him to build the schools at did not make sense, and the government apparently accepted this. Which suggests even if not for inflation, he would have definitely had to cut corners to deliver. What you people don't know is that this is standard practice for a lot of government projects and that is why a lot of them don't last or contractors abandon the projects halfway (if it even gets to halfway). Most government officials don't go after a lot of these contractors because they've already collected their own part even before the project begins. I was not there when he did his project (so I can't say if his own followed the exact same tune), but this is no news nor a major earth shattering discovery, everyone in their circle knows these things. |
Sometimes I believe we get the kind of people we deserve in Nigeria. How can a professional accept a contract to build substandard buildings as SCHOOLS, and be openly saying it, and because he is shedding tears in the video, Nigerians will start supporting him. If the buildings collapse, just like Lekki Gardens own did, and innocent children from poor and average families now die, people will be calling out government, Tinubu is wicked, Mbah is wicked... conveniently forgetting their was a contractor who knew he could not meet standards that took the job in the first place!! Could this grown man who is already wealthy (thanks to Nigeria being a basket case) not just say "No" and move on?? Is it every contract that we must take in this country? Anyway, he has shed tears now so it cannot be his fault.....chai it is good to be an "Elite" in this country ooo, these kind of followers there mumu never do |
Anabosee:Your post is not specific at all and no one can provide quality advice with the details you have stated. First of all answer these question: 1. What type of battery did you buy, lifepo or lithium ion? 2. Who did you buy from? 3. Who recommended him to you? 4. Specs of the battery you want to buy...i.e.12v, 100amps, anything more specific will help 4. Pictures and links of the battery if available Do the same thing for the Jumia battery you are comparing it to. Also please learn to be more specific and detailed when seeking help on an open forum, nobody is a mind-reader here. |
My personal experience with him is that he is a terribly arrogant idiot. Not surprised he has been accused of not paying staff, definitely not the kind of human being I would ever want to work for. Like I've said so many times, some of the young people coming into limelight are a 1000 times worse than the previous generation that ruined this country. We should stop judging people by age and more about how they became successful, and what they have done since being successful. |
Mirasteel:To think you were calling someone an illiterate for not speaking English yet you cannot take small time to verify what I said and go to google and youtube like I pointed out to you earlier ![]() Someone spent over one hour addressing Congress (he was not even reading from a script) but i have to accept your word that he cannot speak or understand what he was saying shey. https://www.youtube.com/live/rcDhvR3oeiE?si=5-WYatiZTQ4NKsEQ
