SegunAdewole:Is pastor Kumuyi now a "muslim Yoruba" for forseeing that change was coming before the election and God would surprise us? Or is it the other serious churches led by serious MOGs from the SW who still openly celebrate the change and seriousness we have in the air that are "fulani muslims? " The politics of the SWest is actually simple and reflects the politics of Nigeria. From pre-independence till now there have always been 2 camps across all Nigerian geo political regions- the Elites and the Masses. Despite the Elite clearly being the more inferior in numbers, they have and still remain the most powerful camp in Nigeria because of their ability to dictate, control and confuse the majority, the Masses. I could go on for a while on this but I won't because I'm not in the mood to write an epistle. The truth is that unlike other regions in the country, the Elite group have struggled to control the Masses in the SWest post-independence because of the failure of AG and NCNC to work together after the 1st elections and the betrayal of Akintola subsequently. Awolowo (an Elite by the time he came to prominence like all other national leaders in Nigeria) successfully convinced the Masses that he cared about what they cared about. He convinced them that he would fight for what they wanted and thus he became the leader of the Masses- whether Yoruba Christian or Muslim. Despite Akintola having stronger ties to the muslim North and even the more dominant Oyo political group, he was seen as the leader of the Elitist camp in the SW because he courted power blocs and was passionate about issues that didn't bother the common man in the Swest. An example was his strong Igbophobia based on "his fact" that Igbos were taking "all the jobs" in the Civil service and our Educational institutions. Now tell me, was the typical Yorubaman ( mostly farmers at that time) going to give himself a headache on that or care more about the falling prices of cocoa and agricultural produce? This is where the Southwest started differing from other regions in the country because these same tactics were used successfully by Elities like the Sardauna and later Ojukwu to enshrine themselves in the heart of the Masses in their regions. The point I am trying to make to you is this, the poltics of the SouthWest will always be governed about issues the Masses and not the Elite care about. When AD came in they told us they were Awosit and how did they show it to us? Did they fight or speak strongly against corruption? No. Did they put pressure on Obasanjo to sort out the light situation? No. Did they put up any strong projects to fix our transportation woes? No. Ask the same questions about Jonathan after most Swestners supported him the first time and you will understand how he destroyed himself here. In fact Swest politics is actually simple and not about religion (note Kwara is not input here)- here more than anywhere else in Nigeria, the voice of the people is the voice of God. Look how APC has made a U-turn in most of Fashola's elitist policies in Lagos State after they almost lost this last gubernatorial elections. Some of those policies are really solid and could take us to the next level, but once they were painted anti-people and elitist, I knew they would not survive. So for now, Boko Haram and Fulani cattle rearers who graze on rich men farms do not bother us in the Southwest. It is the improvement in Light we are seeing, Deizani finally possibly going to jail and Jakande's dream of alternative mass transport in Lagos almost being fulfilled. Buhari and to some extent APC, have shown they are still listening to us and that is all we care about. |
wealthinfos:We should be careful what we post on NL. I saw this pic a while back on another thread and the lady was identified as his daughter. www.nairaland.com/2629589/photo-emir-kano-daughter |
I don't know what has happened to Vanguard newspaper, it seems they have become the new mouthpiece or should I say "Thisday" for all things PDP. It's a shame. |
bombay:Try your best and read again S L O W L Y. As you can see, El-Rufai was right about how Buhari would handle our oil industry with all levels of seriousness it deserves. 1. When faced with the easiest opportunity to remove oil subsidy than any other regime has ever had and with all the economic "experts" telling him to do so, HE HAS NOT. 2. Instead he has chosen the harder option with dwindling revenue- plug the leakages, reorganise the NNPC and deal with the thieves one by one! 3. As predicted, the national refineries are being taken seriously again with sales cancelled and "irreparable" refineries pumping again in record time. I mean with the pace we have seen in these past few months do you doubt It would take him a year to sort the refineries that PDP have "apparently" not been able to get working for 16 years?? 4. What you people have failed to understand is that the idea of removing oil subsidy, selling our national refineries, devaluing the naira are elitist policies which will only ensure that 2 certain things happen, the rich will become richer and the poor more pathetic. El-Rufai would be proud of this interview if he read it again, Buhari has not disappointed his true base- the Masses. It is only the elite that are crying because they are seeing less chances to chop and I know this firsthand because I happen to work in a financial institution and listen to their lamentation all day! |

“Corrupt people are not necessarily bad people. A lot of them are not bad people because they do a lot of good things. But we live in a country where too many good people are doing too many bad things.”Anyone who steals (which is what corruption is) from a nation like Nigeria where one is surrounded by abject poverty CAN NEVER be a good person!! Never!! These ministers should learn from the God they claim to serve, if he made sure his only begotten son was not born to a king/rich man, but to a lowly carpeneter, no MOG will ever be able to tell me the lust for money/material things is not wrong. They should learn to use their Bibles and common sense when they talk. |

People are just talking out of ignorance. It is not that he did not have enough money on the card, it's most likely that his cards are naira denominated cards and he has reached his daily/yearly spend limit set by CBN - apolicy they had to introduce after thieves like him killed our naira due to hiding millions dollars in their toilets. |
bismick:Can we ask Death to take away your own loved ones in such a gruesome manner and we contribute to give you N71 million ![]() I wonder what manner of young ladies we are breeding in this country ![]() |
JudgementHammer:"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Attributed to Edward Bruke) . Hopefully the days of "see no evil, hear no evil", will be banished from all Nigerian Services and even the Nigerian populace as a whole. Honestly to give final justice to this matter and let those corpers souls rest in peace, even Jonathan will need to formally explain why he refused to sack or punish Morro for this crime against humanity. |
^^^ Bros this thread is another sad indictment of our educational system (which clearly really died under IBB). I am sure she was one of the people abusing the president because of his SSCE and all she with all her education can do is come to inane conclusion and post dark pictures of her educated behind on Nland! I think Seun should remove this thread from front page as the misinformation really doesn't do any of us favours (I can imagine Somalis (who are experts in visa and asylum) reading this and LOLing at us...kai). |
Happiness87:Unfortunately you are an example of why I do not rate the new set of so called Nigerian graduates at all!! This is why I will always rate an SSCE holder who graduated in the 50s and 60s over you and that Doctor of Zoology that had no students beside his wife! First of all if you have never left the shores of this country and have never applied for a visa, google and wikipedia are your friends. The immigration compotoller or whatever he is called can NEVER EVER be in charge of issuing a VISA to a FOREIGN NATIONAL in a FOREIGN country. We have departments of internal and external affairs and to put it simply to people like you: 1.VISA- external 2.Embassies- external 3. Foreign Country- External 4. Foreigner- External But when the foreigner lands in Nigeria then we have: 1.Immigration Compotoller- Internal 2.Stamping of his Visa at our airport- Internal 3. Extending his Visa while in the country- Internal 4. Issuing him a permit to stay/live/work- Internal The only way the Compotoller of Immigration could get blamed in this terrorist case from what I have read is if they found the man with a Nigerian Passport, an extended Visa/Permit or if he supported a national IMMIGRATION policy of granting travelling documents to terrorists all round the world!! I think I will go with the earlier more intelligent and logical conclusions that he is being treated this way for keeping silent when Abba Morro was facilitating the murder of innocent corpers because he wanted to feed David Mark. For the sake of your children you will eventually have- read and try and experience more in life.... please don't count on your local degree to certify you as educated. The same goes for the incredibly foolish Sahara reporter. |
KuliMart:How? If it is using MT6735 as against MT6752 then it can never do better on Antutu. Though 6735 is newer it is no match for a 6752. |
@ OP Besides the heating issue, how would you rate the phone and the overall experience using it? Also does the battery perform to expectation? |
I can't believe I am just finding this thread, lol! This thread should not die till either someone claims this money, the vanguard journalist who started this crap is sacked or more beneficially till Igbo men promise to observe a moratorium on making unbelievable promises which only Igbo people are gullible enough to believe...... In short this thread is not dying anytime soon!! Sai Baba!! |
PervyByNature:Not sure she has a proper thigh gap- if those knees are put together the gap disappears. And to be honest I find her attractive, and if you've seen a proper thigh gap on those stick models, its actually quite disgusting and unnatural. |
morereb10:From your description above, it seems you may actually be the prostitute here. |
sketcherJ:The barcode is located on the retail package and looks like the normal barcode you see on any item you buy at the supermarket. As long as your smartphone is a bb, android or Iphone and you have a camera on the phone- you should be able to download a barcode/scanner app on your app market. |
