AnfieldFan: We all know his total, so how do we know his base, when Salah was earning 200k, his total performance bonus was an extra 10k.... His base could be 320,330,340,350,360...No salary is 100% accurate so 400k could be a possibility... why not search for the base? Nobody mentions anything more than 320K. None. So it cannot be 360 etc. |

AnfieldFan: If 140kpounds is before tax, it would put his gross at around 270k which isn't true ...
So I'm inclined to believe the 140k is gross...
If you're sure it's 200k and above... Bring various multiple sources and I will concede that ... Just ask yourself 2 questions. Why will one website say he earns more than VVD? And if he earns £5.1M after tax per year, then calculate what it was before the tax.

AnfieldFan: You're saying he's earning 320k now, you've brought a site that has that, you've also brought one that has 250k...
I have numerous saying 375k, some 400k...How do we determine the correct one? We all know that his total is 375-385k we know because the only thing everyone confirmed was that Haaland earns close to KdB. That is total pay. People will always give rough estimates like 400K but that is not substantiated. I said his base now is 320 which will rise to 385 with ad d ons. |

AnfieldFan: . You are denying the obvious. I already told you that the media tried to downplay how much was being spent on Nunez so they announced his salary after tax. Haaland after tax earns like 175K a week. Messi earns 500K a week after tax. |

AnfieldFan: That's not what I inferred, that's why I said bring your source that is verifiably correct.... The argument is getting cyclical. I showed you that NOBODY ever claimed Debruyne earned 300k as base in his previous salary. That already proved that that is not what Jack was saying. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: 20 Times Champions of England! by Android17: 9:58pm On Jul 01, 2022 |
AnfieldFan: I'm saying, if the quoted £140k a week is net, what would his gross be... Whatever the tax figure is for his per year just divide the 140k by it. For example, 140/0.52 = ~ £270k a week
|
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Liverpool FC Fan Zone: 20 Times Champions of England! by Android17: 9:54pm On Jul 01, 2022 |
AnfieldFan: I inferred 300k base , not total... Jack was saying that his previous base + bonus totals 300k. His previous base was never 300k. Nobody ever claimed that. Even Sterling is not earning a base of 300k now. That is his total which was the same with KdB before his new salary. Sterling asked City for KdBs new salary and City offered lower but higher than his 300k total. |

Liverpool fans no dey ever agree say dem dey blow money.
40 seasons from now, they'll still be spending Coutinho's loot[/color] Which is my point. That they spend and City spends as well. They should not be acting like some plucky poor club. |

AnfieldFan: This site says 320, another says 250(You posted this one)..
Then Jack says 300k before bonuses... Jack said KdB will earn more than his previous total in his base alone. That previous total was 300k according to him. So it is easy for me to accept that 320k because it is greater than 300k. |

AnfieldFan: You said nobody knows since his agent didn't disclose, you now use this as the benchmark...What makes this more valid than the initial site you brought...The one that had him at 250k *Sighs* Jack said KdBs base is >> than his previous salary + bonuses (300k). I searched for the previous base it was 230k. I searched for new base and some said 250 and others said 320k. I gave you the range 250-320k but admitted that 320K will be more accurate to match what Jack said. |

teeshet: All these weekly wages they are paying these players, do they finish spending it? Not at all. For some like Neymar, CR7, Messi, those ones make way more outside of their salaries that Neymar won't even know if PSG don't pay him for the next 1 year. It took Mahrez months before he realized someone stole £175K from him |

AnfieldFan: So you are deducing this from what a Portuguese Journo stated...
What about The Times who said 140k a week... You are trying to be clever by half. I don't need any special knowledge. As soon as I see what multiple sources (including SkySports etc) are saying a player is to earn after tax in the UK, I can have a rough estimate of what they earn before it. It is not rocket science. |

Prove to me I'm wrong... You are making the claim, prove it. I am the one who has brought a record showing it is 320k. My acceptance of it being 350K is so you can give an excuse for Salah. You are yet to do it. |

I'm trying to work with the second... 3 screen shots. 3. 2 were to show what Jack meant so you won't misunderstand him like you are currently doing. |

AnfieldFan: Both those salaries are speculative, we know it's around that for either gross or net... The net isn't derived from the gross I posted...I gave you those as range...A Portuguese journo stated the net, while Times stated the gross...
Let me reiterate, the net I posted isn't derived from the gross I posted...They are different sources.... You are rambling my man. If someone earns £500K a year in the UK, their take home is like 55% of that money after tax. Make of that what you will. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Android17: 9:20pm On Jul 01, 2022 |
AnfieldFan: According to the second screenshot, Kdb earns 250k weekly now, Right or wrong... Is that not why I told you it is a range. Nobody can truly be sure because KdB did not use an agent. He did it himself with a lawyer. I only gleaned that it has to be higher than 250K because Jack is tier 1. |

AnfieldFan: The same site you're using says this is his current weekly wage @Android17.. What current site? I gave 3 to let you know that it is a range. Some say 250K and the highest base pay on record is 320K. 320K works with Jack's statement. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Android17: 9:15pm On Jul 01, 2022 |
AnfieldFan: He said 300k a week before bonuses..Then says his new wage would be higher than that...The second screenshot puts his weekly wages at 250?? English language. Just transfer 'before bonuses' to before 'new deal' in Jack's statement and you will understand what he meant. He cannot speak in isolation. No cite claims KdB was earning 300k before bonuses in his previous salary- none. |

AnfieldFan: The current base is higher than his previous 300k(base), there's no mention of what that current base is....So why are you saying it's 350k? That is why I gave multiple sources to let you know you did not understand Jack's post. He said that Debruyne will earn more from his base in his new salary than he did with incentives from the previous. |

AnfieldFan: According to the screenshot you added, it says More than previous (previous wage) 300k a week before bonuses...
The weekly wages section then adds
230k and 250k.. Each of the screenshots are from different cites. Jack is saying KdB was earning 300k with bonuses previously and that his new base alone is now now higher than what he earned with bonuses. His previous base was 230k with add-ons 300k. His new base according to the citation is 320k with add-ons 385K. But I even decided to claim 350K as the base just so you won't wriggle away from what Salah is going to earn. |

AnfieldFan: In the screenshot, it says he's earning higher than his previous 300k a week before bonuses, then in the weekly wages section, it's says 230k and 250k... So what Jack is saying is that the current base is higher than the 300k (with add-ons) that KdB was previously earning. Which is why I even dashed you extra 30K to say 350K now as base. |
