Oya, oil price has hit $123 this year. The highest it ever got to under Jonathan was $113. Yet inflation is still high and increasing.

Because unlike in GEJs time where only crude prices were on the up due to increased production and demand, today, the world is also battling with food and fertilizer shortages so what ever gains could have been made from high crude prices are being lost due to equally high CPI.

I don't want to hold brief for Buhari but it is a global issue. Ask Pedo Biden and the west.

We're talking presidential elections though, and as regards the performance of governors, South East states are generally no worse than other states in Nigeria. Things will get better at the state level when power is decentralised and we can't get decentralization by voting in candidates with a history of aggregating power and resources to themselves and their minions.

Jonathan's loss to a candidate that turned out to be an epic failure is an indictment on those who voted and marketed him. Decision-making is a skill, I won't give you the option of choosing between burnt rice and charcoal for a meal and you'd choose charcoal.
