Ellexy:There is a context in which that statement was made if you can go back to read it. They tried to argue that Ranieri and Conte were better coaches than Guardiola because they won the EPL in the previous 2 seasons and Pep had not. Raumdeuter was trying to say Pep's UCL titles is more suggestive of his talent than winning the EPL. That was the context. Now that the same manager has won that EPL 4 times the people who called him names have now switched to UCL as if it was ever in question or that the manager has never won it in his life. |
GloriousGbola:Nigeria has always had strategic bilateral relationships with Niger since time immemorial. It has obviously deepened in the last 15 years with the rise of terrorism. The pictures the Hundeyinites are posting are not the Land Cruisers in question. There are armoured LandCruisers V8 2022 models online that will be bulletproofed on request. People should discuss real issues not base talk. Obasanjo was begging for debt relief and still doing foreign aid to Ghana. Jonathan gave Mali $45M.

BlueAngel444:This is a back-handed compliment. ![]() |
reccy:Some people are not worth it. They are the ones to always confuse quantity for quality; volume for substance; verbosity for oratory. |
izzou:See it here: https://twitter.com/drjaneholland/status/1544397089773322242?t=M3LLjgELbUmfLgsNtDXNVw&s=19 |
reccy:That is why I told people to desist from criticizing for the sake of it as it will just make them come off as you said. . .dull. |
izzou:I hear you. By the way, see this short experiment.
|
izzou:Yea that is why I said the only time you would be pained should BAT win is if Larride wins the bet as well. |
izzou:You said Obi first choice, Atiku second choice. I am very well aware. I also know that if BAT wins, it won't pain you as well. You have spread your risks well and will somehow be satisfied with whoever wins (except your bet with Larride sha). |
Oasis007:Baba likes to do hedging. That is why I said he is a future hedge fund manager. That import business he is doing is not his main calling. Izzou, I speak as a prophet. ![]() |
Oasis007:He is an atikulated obidient with a tinge of love for BAT but a strong disdain for Bubu. |
izzou:Correction, I never said the minority is always right. I said people will rather camp with the majority even though they know they are wrong than be with the minority even if they know they are right. See the difference. As for who you support or not, that is not the point. Some people here have argued that BAT is a bad candidate because he helped bring this present govt in. Well, by that same logic, anyone who helped bring this govt in should never be considered by those...you get the point. Now if that shoe fits you, you have to wear it. If it does not, then maybe it was not for you. |
raumdeuter:Bwala, Dino and Atiku did not help bring this govt into power. It is only BAT. |
reccy:Always be prepared to deal with an ignorant majority. As soon as you know this, everything else you read will have an interesting spin to it. For e.g ASUU is demanding 1.3 trillion Naira from the govt. So imagine the sheer stupidity involved in lambasting your govt for doling out foreign aid to the tune of 1.4B when they could have channeled that money that is only 1% of what ASUU is demanding. If your govt was gifting out even 100B for e.g, the traducers may have had a case, but you know the rest. Also, giving foreign aid is a fixture of every govt. If you go online, you will see that Nigeria via FG used to earmark as much as $45M to give to relatively poorer countries around us. Will it surprise you to find out that the Buhari administration in 2022 is the stingiest govt in that regard in the last perhaps 20 years? Like I said before, you are allowed to criticize your govt. Just make sure it makes sense. I even understand that the Land cruisers were purchased because that is what the Nigerien govt specifically asked for when they begged Nigeria for the aid. The very same foreign aid Nigeria still begs US, China and other relatively more prosperous nations for. lol |
Skimpledawg:She still gave just like Nigeria and other countries did and have always done. Jonathan gave Mali $2M in 2013 concerning their elections. I am sure we needed the money in Nigeria at the time. If your argument is still about Land cruiser, see below...again. Cheers.
|
Skimpledawg:Strength is relative. The Lord said the Widow gave more than others because she gave out of her poverty. Apostle should have heard of this nah.
|
Skimpledawg:We receive and we also give like the bible said. Certainly, an Apostle of the most high should know. ![]()
|
Skimpledawg:Exactly. It is not like all the presidents before him were not doing it as part of foreign policy. I heard USA under Obama in 2014 also gave Nigeria Land cruisers. What was the point? If you ask me, na who I go ask? ![]()
|
Skimpledawg:Don't mind me jare. As soon as Buhari re-channels 1.4B Naira into Nigeria, all the issues bedevilling the country will be fixed. |
izzou:Yea same way Biden is spending $60b+ in a foreign country even though a state within his country needs $4b to stop the droves of illegal migrants flooding into it. The only difference is, the 1.4B Naira is not enough to directly fix any of the issues you mentioned in Nigeria but it can go a long way in motivating the Nigerien govt to keep collaborating with Nigeria to stem terrorism. It is not everything that the govt you don't like, does that is wrong. Inu go? |
izzou:Just say you don't know how foreign policy works. |
Skimpledawg:He is subbing people who say Pep always gets what he wants and radarada. |
izzou:You are more intelligent than this. |
Skimpledawg:The Govt building China donated to Zimbabwe what was it for? I don't understand people's insularity tbh. Who said the Landcruiser was for directly fighting the insecurity or is it not possible that Nigeria is using it to incentivize a poorer country that shares border with us to continue with its effort to fight insecurity? |
izzou:lol. I had to become an APC faithful because I asked a question. I never told you our revenue is comparable to USA and China. I asked if the monies spent by those countries on foreign policy could not find better use in their own countries. I know you guys get emotionally charged when someone goes against the grain. It is not new. Many people will rather be with the majority and be wrong, than be in the minority and be right. You can barrage your govt with criticisms - it is allowed, but it also has to make sense or else it will be hot air. You're saying 1.4B Naira could have found better use in Nigeria rather than to the Nigerien govt right? Another person said this is happening with ASUU on strike abi? I now asked if that amount would have been sufficient to fix the ASUU issue. That is what made me an APC faithful. lol |
kingBolton:Just take note of the vocabulary being used. Too many bitter ignoramuses on NL to count that specialize in conflating everything because scoring cheap points is a habit of sore and consistently bitter losers. |
BlaqFaze:I never claimed to have inside information. The only difference is, me and you can read the same article but I may be less inclined to believing what the article says if it does not check out logically. If Frenkie leaves Barca, we will most likely now know what was truly going on behind the scenes. Till then, him and his team have to stay tight-lipped. |
BlaqFaze:If you believe that, time will tell. I just gave you an unbiased take on events in my own honest opinion. I don't believe everything I read. I try to discern who is BSing me and who is telling the truth. From where I stand, I do not believe any news story that claims Frenkie is rejecting ETH consistently. ETH has too much pride to keep going at it. The issue is 100% on Barcelona and time will prove if I am right. |
kingBolton:Gbam. |
kingBolton:Players don't set wage terms for their agents it is the other way around. An agent convinces a player they can get more money for them and the player signs with the agent. Of course, in actuality, the player has more power than his agent but the negotiator is the agent. So Cucu can tell the agent if Barca ask for me I'll take 15K from them a week. He has the power to do that. But if the agent tells the player Chelsea are offering 120K for you and I agreed with it, Cucu also stays happy. Remember I said the agent can AGREE without the player's approval I did not say he can SIGN without the players approval. |
BlaqFaze:Ask yourself where the bias of that article is leaning towards and there, you'll have your answer. There is no way on earth ETH keeps going after FDJ except the player is privately giving him assurances that he wants to come. Once you have that baseline you can easily decipher what is fake news and what seems more likely. |
BlaqFaze:Manchester United did not assure him of that as no club will do so unless Barca reduce the transfer fee which Barca refused to do. |

I honestly don't know.
Man U fans are using that wage issue to console themselves from the embarrassing pursuit of the player
