Politics › Re: Police Pension Boss Sentenced To 2yrs In Prison For Embezzling N23bn by andyanders: 6:57pm On Jan 28, 2013
This country is just encouraging stealing at the highest level. 2 yrs or a fine of N250 THOUSAND for someone who stole N23. Billion? This country's judicial system is a corrupt maggots and we should even stop embarrassing ourselves by blowing on front pages newspapers and media houses that EFCC and ICPC chasing anyone. Our judicial system is the worst corrupt in the world and should not even administer any legal matters anymore.

Someone will steal goat and chicken in this country and will be sentenced to death or life jail and the elites will embezzle with their pen and will be released and be made chiefs and kings. Now tell me how a young Nigerian who wants to lead cannot go and steal when been empowered?
We are dead here. We only need revolution to waste all these old folks for the younger generation to survive.

Family › Re: Think Before You Send Your Kids Abroad by andyanders: 12:45pm On Jan 28, 2013
OP, I thank God for you because you were strong to have overcome what you went through. I have counselled so many people on the danger of travelling abroad as a minor and even as an adult. I have told them that you are on your own when you get over there. No brother, father, mother uncles or friends who is gonna be there for you.

I could remember a time I had no money after paying my semester fees, I had no money to feed on and I was searching my entire house looking for a dime or quarter to get some food and it was too rough as I had no one to turn to. At a point, a car I bought on note, was repossessed by the company I bought it from. It took me time to rebuild my credit again as it affected me. You see some guys in the US who hasn't come home for over 15 yrs because they drifted as a result of hardship.
People think that coming abroad is the best thing not knowing that it is a world where you are on your own.

Sports › The Referee Who Officiated Nigeria V Zambia Match Sent Home by andyanders(op): 12:26pm On Jan 28, 2013
It has been confirmed that the referee that officiated Nigeria and Zambian match sent home.

I think this is good for African soccer as these referees should be meant to undergo mental evaluation before been asked to officiate any match as most of their calls has been questionable.

I think the guy wanted to say, that T.Orji of Abia state is like what Amala is to a yoruba man. No offence yoruba people.

T O. Orji is sick, mental and needs rehabilitation. Abia state is the worst state in Nigeria. EFCC should wait and to pick him up when his term is over. He is a complete onye Ori. Pen robber.

He has tried and I congratulate him and pray that grants him more wisdom to explore. These are the kind of people the Government needs to help by having the minister of Aviation and other aviation personnel to work with him in order to move this nation forward than looking for avenues to steal the nation and accumulating wealth on earth and one day, they will all die and and everything becomes vanity.

Umm Rumy: spoken like someone who has never tasted poverty, cause if u have, really have ( i don't mean having only 5 naira left but not haven eating 4 days, being in debt & having a family 2 cater 4) u won't accuse people of 'selling' their children.
You said the truth. Don't mind some people coming here to display as all is well with them. All fingers are not equal and therefor, people should stop laying blames on the less privileged and blaming their parents on why they must give out their children. Some of these less privileged ones must have lost their bread winners and the society cannot help. Go to Synagogue Church of All Nations and you will find millions of such children and families been taken care of by Prophet T.B Joshua who has given out scholarships to these children and their mothers.
The Federal Government and states government cannot help these ones and they are been left to their own faith. Wicked country.
Crime › Re: Woman Burns Girl's Thighs With Hot Iron For Stealing N1000 by andyanders: 6:42pm On Jan 27, 2013
Arosa: While it may be a more or less normal emotional reaction to wish this person to be punished severely, and perhaps even in the same way as what she did to the victim, the question is whether you can build a society's judicial system on such principles of punishment. Punishment can serve different functions: preventative, rehabilitative, and revenge. Inflicting the same punishment on the perpetrator as what they did to the victim (similar to capital punishment) serves the principle of revenge. But where does it end, and what does it achieve? It makes more sense to focus on rehabilitation, i.e. to aim for a reform and reintegration of the individual into society. This is a principle pursued in many Western countries- examples include anger management classes, psychotherapy, or even parole. On the other hand, a punitive system based on revenge achieves nothing - it does not do anything other than satisfy primitive emotional urges, and teaches the perpetrator nothing. They may come out of prison and continue to pursue crime, but do it on the down-low, and out of fear of being caught, kill their victim(s).
Not to bore yo with psychological detail, but these are facts.
You are right but sometimes, we do not get those form of reform or rehabilitation in this part of the world as a result of a legal system that does not work. Such actions against minors should be a capital punishment to the offenders. If the offender know that he/she will get same punishment, he/she will not act that way. If you kill a minor, you must be killed.

Why not for a woman with such heart? Using a hot pressing iron on a little girl? Why not and if not. She must be rewarded same way.
Sports › Re: NFF Protests Fraudulent Refereeing Against Nigeria by andyanders: 5:23pm On Jan 27, 2013
Let us stop blaming referees and play our game. Our strikers are out of what they were asked to do. They cannot score and earn a deserved win by scoring goals. Look at the kind of technically well calculated goals scored by Bokina Faso boys and we are here complaining. In fact, we do not have a team.
Nairaland General › Re: Have You Seen Odubayo Bolaji James? by andyanders: 5:11pm On Jan 27, 2013
I wonder why an undergraduate young man in this present generation will travel and do not have a working phone with him. I pray he is found but the whole story sound ridiculous to me. Poster, the young man left home for school from Lagos and nobody saw him off to the point he boarded a bus? He left for school on the 14th of January and efforts were not made to confirm if he actually got to the school same day or the second day and the post is just coming on now?
Well, I pray God locates him wherever he is. It still baffles me to note that such a young man will disappear like that. Lord have mercy.

If that little girl is her daughter, will she manhandle her like that? Wicked world.
Romance › Re: Husbands In The Kitchen- What's Your Take? by andyanders: 1:03am On Jan 26, 2013
I go to kitchen and prepare food anytime if my wife is not around. I come from a family of 4 boys and a girl and we were all well equipped to know how to cook and how to help our wife when she is not around or when she put to bed without waiting for an outsider to do that. It all depends from individuals though. What I dislike is when a woman now see that as a must then I will show her the other side of life.
Sports › Re: We Were Robbed - Enyeama Fumes by andyanders: 12:55am On Jan 26, 2013
shadrach77: during the post match conference goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama fumed "I don't knownthe kind of officiating we are having at this tournament. Even if Africa is having its own football, the officiating should not be this bad. i have never seen that kind of penalty call in my life. That penalty shouldn't have been called" he went on, "In our last match, we had a clear penalty and a red card call which was not iven. Now again we are having a penalty awarded against us"
The gospel truth he said. With actions of officiating like this, our players should develop within themselves as professionals, a winning attitude by winning any game by scoring goals and stop blaming referees. Our strikers are the worst in this tournament.
Sports › Re: Keshi Is Satisfied With Result Against Zambia by andyanders: 12:54am On Jan 26, 2013
The referee is a complete maggot. Even the Zambian guy player was outside the 18yrd box and he still went ahead to award a penalty. Despite that, I still believe we performed below expectation. Keshi's substitutions has been questionable and doubt his competence as a world class coach. The National teams he has handled so far has been below performance. In as much as I do not approve the appointment of a white man as our national team coach, I think at this point, bring Olise, let us try all of them and see who can perform.
Sports › Re: When Super Eagles Score How Do You React? by andyanders: 9:24pm On Jan 25, 2013
we do not have a team. Nigeria is no more a team to celebrate for as they have lost every good thing about them.
From the managers to the players, we have no single person to celebrate. We have arrogant players and over rated coaches who do not know their right from their left. Keshi need to throw in the towel now because he has failed. =From the glass house all should go. Let us even be watching street football in Nigeria rather than watch those wasted individuals play.Cannot celebrate chickens.Better watch dogs play on the street than watch those boys.
