If in your tribe you guys hide behind culture to indulge in wastefulness and bankrupt suitors, then that's your problem... Not every tribe is like yours.
There was no call for such uncouthness... SMH.

Poor child upbringing will not only scourge families but the society and nation as a whole.

Just imagine dying due to the parental negligence of another... So sad! undecided

Samantha124:
It doesn't matter how I feel or think about it because they're not part of my culture and we need to learn to respect other people's cultures as long as they don't interfere with ours.

And besides, traditional wedding is a celebration which involves uniting two people who are in love.
Culture is dynamic and subject to modifications... It is man-made not Divine or Supernatural.

No culture has remained exactly the same since inception.

You don't hide behind culture to indulge in wastefulness and bankrupt suitors, or make them turn to crime in desperation to fulfill traditional rites.

Modifying practices is simple... Many wedding practices are being modified yearly to factor in decline in economy, except for places that want their suitors to be criminals or their daughters to remain single for a silly while.

Who is Galambi again?. It's high time DSS started picking up nonentities.
Nigeria opposition is proving to be a congregation of the most intellectually lazy people in the world. These are the same ratheads that would quickly point to US, UK, Canada, etc when they talk but do you see the President or PrimeMinister of an advanced country going to the legislative assembly with boxes or trailer of papers to present budget?. With flash drive, you could easily print out the budget details for each lawmaker. And that's the innovation Jagaban is introducing to end the archaic system of budget boxes. Nigeria's opposition are too backward thinking, everything na to dey open mouth dey wail, no sense.
Yeah... There's always a perfect justification for everything Jagaban does.

He is too perfect and righteous to do any wrong.

Tinubu isn't making mockery of any assembly...!

Your National Assembly was already a mockery before Tinubu was sworn in... Jagaban is merely enjoying the same rubber stamped Senate his predecessor enjoyed.

The last time we had a fairly working Senate was Buhari's first term when that crook from Kwara was the head.

DaTruths:
Why would LSG wait for such massive structures to be completed before swooping in to demolish it?

It would take nothing less than 6 months on average for such projects to be completed, and they didn't come there to mark it ❌ as to stop work?

Wetin concern me.
This is the part I fault Lagos state government.

You have ministries and agencies tasked with such duties of ensuring the environmental and housing master plan is adhered to, yet they allow people erect structures, even take payments or bribes.

Well, this is an eyeopener to everyone to be more conscious of the housing and urban laws before erecting properties.

It's not just by merely looking at your names!
Don't mind him... A lot of them have a personal identity crisis. That his excuse is ridiculously lame.

A lot of them feel ashamed of their names, and look for names that sound "funky" and "sweet".

You want them to bear Ayo, Chinedu, and Adamu so you can use tribalism to finish their destiny?

If I have my way, I will avoid all native names from Nigeria's major tribes (Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa).

A Mark John is more likely to get a University admission from any Southwestern University than a Chinedu. A Jenifer Confidence is also more likely to get a job in Igboland than a Nurudeen Ayoola.

Y'all pathetic decendants of racists and losers will preach one thing and do another.
So, you shamefully and cowardly despise and hide your true identity out of fear of your own fellow citizens??!

This is pathetic!

You need serious lessons in self confidence and self esteem.

The more doctors japa, the more our varying universities produces another set
It's really tiring making nitwits see beyond their need to defend the indefensible...!

Every senior medical professional departing this nation leaves a yawning lacuna of experience and quality that can't be replaced by mass graduating greenhorns from universities.

This is why all (I mean every single one of them) your elected leaders and politicians don't step their feet into your healthcare facilities in this nation.

Is it a fresh graduate doctor who will handle sensitive diagnosis, specialist care, delicate and complicated medical procedures, etc??! Who mentors and grooms them to senior residents and specialties??! What happens in outbreaks like Ebola where a wealth of experience is required to handle vast issues??!

Sigh... What a nation of dumb corrupt leaders and naive citizens!

That's not your business

Igbos can't be producing doctors that would take peanuts yet we re not respected

North West and North East health and educational sectors would collapse if igbos leave there

From the last stats IMO alone produce as much doctors das North East and North West combined
This is not a tribal or ethnic issue... Try to put your brain to better use. You suppose don old pass this childishness.

You mean "Produce more Quacks"! tongue

Getting quality doctors and healthcare professionals isn't a fire-brigade process of batch admissions and qualifications...!

That's why serious nations do all in their power to keep their most needed professionals, and even go as far as luring more from corrupt and stupid third world nations.

Una go get sense by force...!

So the ones that crashed into the Mediterranean sea are substandard?
Or we should iñsuIt Nigèria because a helicopter crashed?
In your haste to be stupid, you ended up missing the crux of the submission... That's what over defensiveness causes.

I never insulted Nigeria and didn't encourage anyone to.

I simply pointed out the unnecessary and irritating habit of justifying everything that happens in Nigeria by using foreign analogies as if we are cursed to remain in the shadows of the Western world.

I demanded if there is anything wrong in our nation having better stats than those abroad.

But, you failed to understand such a simple call to greatness...! You people have become mischievously wary and sensitive to criticisms to the point of constantly indulging in whataboutism.
