Being patriotic is a good thing, but why spend one's finite years living in a dangerous place, if one has the option to enjoy life in the safety of a country where a family road trip does not carry the risk of being waylaid and kidnapped en route, or where calling the police will result in them showing up, or where the simple convenience of using electrical outlets at home is available without the need to embark on the major expenditure of installing generators or solar panel infrastructure so as to become one's one private utility company.

Those simple pleasures of a safe and stable country are for now mere pipe dreams for the inhabitants of Nigeria, including the rich who choose to remain in Nigeria with their heavy security contingent, due to patriotic zeal or perhaps on a more practical level, due to proximity with money making ventures that require close personal supervision to prevent fraud.
