Congratulations on the new job offer! I understand your concerns, and it's natural to feel apprehensive about leaving a familiar environment. Here are some points to consider: Pros of accepting the new job: 1. Significant salary increase: 400k net monthly is a substantial improvement from your current 218k net monthly. 2. Career growth: Although the role is the same, a new environment can bring new challenges, experiences, and opportunities for growth. 3. New experiences: You'll have the chance to work with new people, learn new processes, and adapt to a different company culture. Cons of accepting the new job: 1. Uncertainty: As you mentioned, there's always a risk when joining a new company, and you might face unexpected challenges. 2. Adjustment period: Adapting to a new work environment, colleagues, and processes can take time. 3. Potential cultural mismatch: Company cultures can vary significantly, and you might find that the new company's culture isn't a good fit for you. Questions to ask yourself: 1. What are your long-term career goals? Will this new role help you achieve them? 2. How important is job security to you? Are you willing to take a calculated risk for a potentially better opportunity? 3. What are your deal-breakers? Are there any specific concerns or requirements that would make or break your decision? Advice: 1. Take your time: Don't rush into a decision. Consider all the factors and weigh the pros and cons carefully. 2. Gather more information: Ask questions about the new company's culture, expectations, and challenges. 3. Trust your instincts: Ultimately, make a decision that aligns with your goals, values, and instincts. Remember, it's normal to feel uncertain when faced with a major decision. Take a deep breath, consider all the factors, and trust yourself to make the right choice. What do you think? Is there anything specific that's holding you back from making a decision? Queengee: |

Recommendation Decline the job offer. Rationale 1. The significant salary reduction may impact your financial stability and goals. 2. While the benefits are attractive, they may not compensate for the substantial decrease in income. 3. You may be able to find alternative opportunities that better align with your salary expectations and career goals. Next Steps 1. Politely decline the job offer, thanking them for the opportunity. 2. Continue exploring other job opportunities that meet your salary expectations and career goals. 3. Consider negotiating with your current employer, if possible, to improve your compensation package. |

Wow, what a harrowing experience! I'm so sorry you had to go through that. It's unacceptable for an employer to treat an employee with such disrespect, abuse, and exploitation. The fact that he was taking advantage of his students and overcharging them for IT skills he himself didn't possess is appalling. Your courage and self-worth are admirable. Recognizing your value and refusing to be treated poorly is a testament to your strength. Leaving that toxic work environment and finding alternative means of earning a living online was a wise decision. Your story serves as a reminder that employees deserve respect, fair compensation, and a safe working environment. No one should have to endure abuse or exploitation in the workplace. Thank you for sharing your story, and I'm glad you're doing well now. The reason I am an advocate of remote jobs- Join JobZoneNG on telegram for remote jobs within and outside Nigeria. |
Good morning I've read all that you put and to be honest, I would open up a side to both that you might have missed. First Solar installation is a skill of the future, sustainable energy is going to be around for a while and if you learn it, you'll be in demand for a very long time. However, the older employer may pay you what you want and help you at the moment, but another thing to look out for is the sustainability of the work you are doing, God forbids something happens to the older man, is your job sustainable, is it even going to last for a while, what skill can one learn while working with a bar (when we ask the right questions we get the accurate answers) However working under a hard boss can be overwhelming sometimes but will teach you how to think on your feet and plan ahead so that no mistake is done. However, all I can give are counsels but I think you should pray about it if you are a Christian and listen for that voice in your spirit |

How a Trader Bet on $TRUMP and Won Big: A Step-by-Step Guide to Navigating a New Market Black Hole Part 1 - Denial When @realDonaldTrump posted his tweet, I was at lunch. I saw it in my feed about 20 minutes after it went live and immediately thought: *"Nonsense, scammers must’ve hacked the president's Twitter. Ha-ha."* The token's market cap? $3 billion. I went back to my lagman. By the time I finished eating, I refreshed Dexscreener: WHAT THE HELL? My portfolio and self-esteem had both plummeted. I had lost the equivalent of several annual salaries while finishing my beshbarmak. Part 2 - The Trading Dilemma On my way home, I kept running different scenarios in my head: 1. HODL: Ride out the storm while my tokens continue to "suck liquidity" from the market. This had happened before, and liquidity eventually returned. 2. Cut losses and reposition. I’d experienced "liquidity vacuums" before: - When BTC rallies, everything else falls as "Papa Coin" hits new ATHs. - When something big launches and grabs the entire crypto community's attention, it’s usually smart to buy in. Part 3 - Acceptance If I held onto my old positions, my portfolio would keep tanking. But this token was less than an hour old, and most of the crypto community hadn’t reacted yet. I still had time to enter at a $3B market cap. Due Diligence Checklist ✅ The tweet was still live. ✅ The Truth Social post was also up. ✅ Tokenomics raised eyebrows (80% distribution), but the website confirmed it. I sold all my AI and meme coins. While ordering fresh chuchvara, I poured my crypto "tenge" into $TRUMP at a market cap of $3–5B. This was the biggest risk I’d ever taken, but the decision took only three minutes. What Happened Next - Sold some at $13B. - Sold more at $18B. I was glued to the screen 24/7. My wife understood something big was happening. She took care of the kid, dinner, and even left the family (temporarily) to let me focus. The Day After $TRUMP hit $30. I sold more, locking in profits, but held a portion of my position. Then: Melania launched her token. $TRUMP’s price plummeted from $50 to $35. I panicked. Transactions failed. I increased slippage, cried over the insane gas fees, and kept trying… |
