Health / Re: Health Without Drugs... by Anjinsan: 12:21pm On Feb 18
After God created for six days, on the seventh day he rested.

Rest is an important element to my Health without drugs since 2018..

I don't joke with my night sleep, habitually I sleep for 6/7 hours most nights...

One day in the weekend...I relax with hobbies I enjoy, reading, writing, singing, music...

as I post this I am listening to Yanni..

After six days of activity, I rest the seventh day to refresh and become ready o go again.

This is my last sauce to Health without drugs since 2018.

What next on this thread?

Perhaps, sharing some interesting highlights from my life on Health Without Drugs.

It's increasingly becoming difficult to see a married man who would help a young lady he isn't related to and not take advantage of her.

It is increasingly becoming difficult to find a young lady who when assisted by a married man, doesn't start getting unnecessarily close, thinking he wants to make her his side chick.

Why is it becoming increasingly difficult to render and accept aid in such circumstance without one or both parties thinking otherwise?

"This industry is lucrative. Any serious minded person will focus on either Career or Money."

"What's the difference?" Jim asked.

The grey headed Don in the industry continued, "Those who focus on money in the industry shortchange their stakeholders, take kick backs, etc...they make money in the short run. In the long run they loose out, because the industry is close knit, words spread, reputation is destroyed. They are out of a job/business.

"Those who focus on career in this industry are ethical professionals. Eventually their good reputation goes round. Because they are few, stakeholders demand for them, they set their prices, and eventually cash out big time."

Jim nodded, absorbing the wisdom from this industry sage.

Habitually living each day actively is another secret to my life of Health without drugs...

Actively entails living it purposefully, productively.

The way I have trained myself, I feel sick when I am purposelessly idle.

Yet, when I am purposefully active, it seems I am on steroid. In that state the purposeful activity becomes food to me...often I have skipped a meal or two...in a purposeful active state...be it spiritual or work.

Perhaps this may be the last secret sauce to my health without drugs.

At a point in your life, you realize you know enough about a subject, yet the results in your life shows you know little about that subject.

All you know is unorganized information on that subject..., knowledge. When the result manifest it no longer becomes unorganized information, it becomes organized data. Even more than that, it becomes wisdom.

If your head has read, listened, watched enough to overcome that temptation, to move higher in an area of life, to improve character, and yet the results isn't equivalent to the knowledge...it's high time to do away with the books, the videos, the sermons...it's high time to seek your unique path to overcome that temptation, to move higher in that area of life, to improve character, etc...

It's high time to set a routine of confessing (scriptural affirmations) what you want to see...

It's high time you set a routine of meditating on what you want to see...

Most importantly, it's high time to sit in silence and listen to God as he reveals to you the path you should walk, to manifest what you want...

Note, there is another extreme of not showing anger. And that is living like a coward.

What do I mean? You have seen people, who shake when they are confronted by others or situations. It seems as if they are always walking on sinking sand around some persons and situations.

They are overly careful not to say things or do things which may displease the other person. Even when they have a responsibility to say or do such things.

An Alpha+ male has a responsibility in an intimate relationship. He must learn to speak out on things that are a NO! NO!

Yet in doing so, he must be self-controlled. If he has a track record of anger, it won't go overnight, infact he must undergo some spiri-psycho exercises, to erase this anger habit, and imbibe calm-confidence when he must confront.

You dear she want a calm-confident male, not an angry-fearful male. For indeed uncontrolled anger is a symptom of deep-rooted fear, at least fear of what you are shouting your lungs out on.

No! That kind of life is living in bondage. It is not living in peace. An Alpha+ male radiates calm-confidence. His steps are sure. His words are sure. And his silence is as powerful as his. well-chosen words.

I met him for the first time, He was in his mid 70s, yet still active in his company.

He had employees who can virtually play his roles. It was more than being the MD of a company to him, a company he founded when he was in his 40s.

It was the thrill of the game for him, especially marketing: pitching his offers, cutting deals, closing deals...

As he sat with his next in command, his eyes still blazed... his mental acumen - top notch.

I fully understood one more reason why people tow the entrepreneur path...

Only him can retire himself...the thrill of the game makes him active, regularly working with younger persons has a way of affecting his own health positively.

It's healthier than sitting with his age group regularly, either discussing politics they have no influence over, playing draft or drinking palm-wine.

The thrill of the game is a good reason to build wealth!

The three members on the interview panel at their respective locations, nodded their heads, impressed with the answers of the candidate.

His answers were concise, contained all they wanted to hear.

It was time to test for Emotional Self Control (E.S.C.)

His was a managerial role.

Not just that, the company was also undergoing a lot of changes.
Changes which was bound to cause tension here and there.

The role, especially at this time, needed a team lead, who can be firm, yet calm.

Someone who can exercise calm-confidence.

The candidate passed the first E.S.C. test excellently.

The second, from his tone, words, and body language, he was on edge.

At the third test, he has had enough, he lost it. When he realized himself, he apologized.

Of course he was forgiven, nothing personal, it was an interview.

Although he scored higher on other interview questions, failing the Emotional Self Control test, cost him the next stage of the screening process.

We live in a world where most people are always angry. You find such persons everywhere: at home, on the street, at the workplace, in traffic, in public transport, at the market place. We live in an angry world.

It is no wonder that calm persons are like a cup of water after trekking for hours under the hot sun.

Calm persons no matter where we meet them are like oasis in a desert. They are refreshing. You can add to the peace in your home, by being such a person.

An Alpha+ male in a relationship is a calm man.

At the beginning of a day, you can either welcome the day or resist the day.

You welcome the day by beginning it intentionally.

To begin a day intentionally, you must:

1) Decide on a time to wake and wake during that period.

2) Engage in calm-joyful spiri-psycho exercises beneficial to your spirit and mind. E.g., Meditative prayers, Praises, Yoga.

3) Engage in vigorous physical exercises beneficial to your body and mind.

4) In writing plan your day purposefully.

When you welcome the day this way, it makes it easy to be productive, while still maintaining your Spiritual, Emotional and Physical health.

You work eight to ten hours in another man's business, another man's game.

What stops you for creating your own game?

What stops you from making your game so addictive, as that other man's is so addictive, that it has sucked you in.

Sucked you in, such that you rush to get there before 8:00p.m, then become so busy, that you are surprised it's 6:00pm.

Create your own game, make it addictive, that's your easiest ticket to financial wealth and of course freedom in the long run.

Don't be too tired to create, build your own game, when you aren't playing another man's.

What's your motive for coming to God:

Money? Protection?

These things in themselves aren't bad. Yet they won't sustain one spiritually. They don't deepen spirituality.

There are other avenues, even healthy ones that can provide these things. You don't necessarily need God for these.

On your own, without acknowledging or publicly confessing God, you can be wealthy. Look around, especially globally, to confirm this.

The best motive for coming to God is to Experience God. Experience him, his guidance, his fellowship in every part of your life: Career/Business, Marriage, Health, Values etc.

Consulting him, before making decisions, before acting, and even when acting remaining conscious of him.

It may seem unfamiliar and difficult at the beginning...yet the more you stretch, by taking your hands off the steering wheel of your life.

You stretch, by waiting on him, seeking clarity in silence, as he speaks to your inner man.

You stretch, by doing your best to strive after Righteousness. For this Holiness, is one key element which differentiates your process from that of the psychology that labels it as intuition.

The God knowing person labels it as God's voice.

Another sauce to my health without drugs...is Positive emotions.

In this world, there would always be things to worry about. When we habitually remain in a negative state of mind, such as: anxiety or anger, health suffers.

It's a gradual corrosion on one's health. That trifle or major issue that brought one down health wise was just the climax, it's been boiling, getting solid overtime, till health crashed.

A realization of the above, on the dangers of what I call the double arrows: anxiety and anger, made me some years ago to make a commitment to filling myself with positive emotions. such as joy, calm-confidence, courage, etc.

There are imageries, I use to discourage myself from watering a negative emotion. One of such imageries, when a negative emotion rears its head is:

A sword piercing through my heart or a knife inflicting wounds on my body.

This and other techniques reinforces the futility of encouraging negative emotions, of discouraging negative thoughts which even births this emotions.

So, that's probably the last but not the least secret to my Health without drugs, since 2018.

If I can remember more secrets, I will share in the next post. If not, I will list these secrets into two categories and the importance I attach to each of them.

In a beautiful highbrow estate, a site manager and a contractor, took a walk.

After some minutes, the contractor said, "Segun, don't you like these houses?" Segun replied, "Any sane man would like such houses. Am I insane?"

The contractor laughed. "That site you are managing is a good avenue, to be like this one day."

Segun replied, "Really? The client and I agreed on a fee to manage that site. I'm okay with that."

The contractor continued, like the devil in the garden of Eden, "Oga, forget that thing, no one makes it big in this country without cutting corners. If you continue like this, you will remain small."

Segun laughed, then replied, "Some minutes ago, we talked about our assets, I that is like that, have more assets to my name than you do."

The contractor replied, "It's just for some time, now my eye don tear...give me a few years and you continue like this, your assets won't see the back of mine."

Segun shrugged his shoulders and said, "Oga, dishonesty in business isn't worth my peace of mind.'

John 10:10: "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
‭‭
My Master - Jesus Christ, gifts me abundant life - Spiritual, Financial, Health. May I stretch to receive and manifest this abundant life - Spiritual, Financial, Health. This I do by consistently aligning my thoughts, words, and acts to abundance.

2 Cor. 4: 18. ‭‭"While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal."

I am propelled by eternal realities: God and Eternal life. Eternal life with its ephemeral, exciting unending journey.

The Human Resource profession, has witnessed four formative stages since its inception.

Three of these have progressed through conception, growth, and stability. The fourth is yet to stabilize.

These four stages that have made the Human resource profession what it is today are:

1) Administrative

2) HR Practices

3) Strategic HR

4) HR Outside-In

These four stages overlap. Each succeeding stage rests on the back of the previous ones.

Stage 1 - Administrative:
This is the administrative, routine, often perfunctory aspect of HR.

Administrative aspects such as terms and conditions of employment, delivery of HR services, and regulatory compliance. This administrative aspect is basically transactional: Recruitment, payroll, pension administration, HMO, attendance, etc. It’s a daily to do aspect of the HR Profession.

Stage 2 - HR practices:
This is the beginning of innovation in HR. At this stage, HR profession is differentiated from basic administration. It brings its own unique approach to sourcing, rewards and compensation, learning, communication, and so forth.

These practices also interact with one another to provide a consistent approach to HR. HR effectiveness in stage 2 derives from innovating and integrating HR practices.

Stage 3 - Strategic HR:
At this stage, the HR profession sees itself as a strategic business partner. The HR professional who has attained this level has an eye on business big picture. Every decision, practice of HR in a business must align with the cooperate strategies of the business. It must support the company’s big picture.

To be effective at the stage, the HR professional must be able to recognize patterns and connections.

Stage 4 - HR Outside-In:
At this stage the HR Profession, takes into account how outside forces affects the business. Furthermore, when, where, and how the HR should respond to these external forces.

Once this fourth stage is activated, the HR professional must work backwards.

With questions such as these to enable him navigate:

What are the outside forces that can affect this business? (Stage 4)

What HR strategies can align with corporate strategies to enable the business thrive amidst this outside forces? (Stage 3)

What HR innovations should we cultivate and execute in our approach to HR policies, procedures and practices, to contribute to an effective HR strategy? (Stage 2)

How do we ensure that HR basics still function efficiently? (Stage 1).

He called after 25 years.

My bosom childhood friend.

Some one close to me, recognized him, and he collected my number.

Six months after the call, we met in person.

There was a lot of catching up to do.

He has done so well in his career.

Financially, he is a big boy.

He was close to those in the state's corridor of power.

He is married to a beautiful, intelligent lady.

The marriage has produced lovely children - boys and girls.

We continued catching up on each other's life, even as he drove.

"So UC, tell me I learnt the women in Port-Harcourt are hot. How many do you have?" He asked.

"I looked at him, as he parked in front of a fruit garden.

Paraphrasing, what I first heard in my first year of marriage from a friend.

I replied: "The time, energy, and resources maintaining one woman - my wife - is enough for me. Add another woman? That means I no like myself now."

That said, I stepped out and got some fruits.

Back to the car, I noticed my guy had his head upwards with his hand on his brow.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Bro. Women wahala is choking me," he replied.

I gave some suggestions, on how to break free.

He listened, got himself together, as we continued to our destination.

Ten minutes later, he said, "Guy, check out that Chic, men....."

Should one seek paid employment if his business isn't paying off as usual?

Yes. Your degree and previous job experience gives you an edge.

The digital world has made the world of personal business easier.

Dust your certificates if you must, yet ensure you have a strategy to keep your hustle going...if it's online, easier. If it's a brick and mortar business, hire someone, when you have enough capital to reopen.

Be careful though of what you accept in the name of paid employment, better if it gives you your weekend off (at least no physical presence). Better if it pays well, at least you still have something to save, after meeting basic expenses.

If you are experienced, don't trade your time for another man's job for peanuts.

After that she starts playing the usual game...what will an Alpha+ male do. Well, from experience, you will realize that it's best to show her that two can play...

Yet, don't harden yourself such that when she is tired of the game or changes that action, you continue on the hard stance.

Discern and see when she is getting tired about the gulf between you...then start calming down too.

Your dear she is learning, has learnt that these your boundaries, you aren't ready to budge on them.

It takes an Alpha+ man to stand on his principles.

What's the point?

At the start of a period, you set goals, targets which manifest at the expense of your health and values.

You are willing to pay with your health and values, because you are attached to the goal. Such that your self-worth is affected by the goal.

You are attached to the goal, because your self-worth stems from these externals, rather than your noble values.

What's the Point, if you are yet to live by your values?

They don't manifest because you didn't do what ought to be done. You didn't do what ought to be done, because you weren't committed to the goal.

You weren't committed because your emotions led you, rather than the procedure to manifest the goal.

What's the point of goals if you are yet to bring intelligence to your emotions?

When you securely love someone you will be careful not to set yourself up as the pillar of his life.

Why? It isn't to his benefit. Also, one day you won't be.

Then he will look for another human(s) to become that pillar.

Do this rather, at the early stage of the relationship, teach the person to be self-reliant. Better still teach him to make God his pillar (It's higher than identifying with a religious group). To be God-reliant.

You must get to that point, when seeming setbacks, don't make you doubt even for one minute, don't even make you take one step backwards.

You must get to that point in your life, when any issue that doesn't contribute to your life's purpose isn't given life through your attention.

You must get to that point, where your words are so so valuable to you, that you only 'chuk' your mouth only in matters that are within your circle of influence, to a person who is within your authority circle or circle of influence.

You must get to that point.

Initially, baby cries, you rush and take care of what is making her uncomfortable: A change of diaper, food, soothe her to sleep.

Some months after, same baby cries, no one rushes, what will eventually happen?

The baby will pacify herself, by sucking her tongue, finger(s), or any other means and may eventually fall asleep.

Even in infancy, humans are designed to start exhibiting some measure of self-reliance. What stops an adult from doing better?

For the first time since 2018, I had to check my vitals. The Doc was satifised with the PCV, Cholesterol, temperature, bla bla bla, he only picked on the B.P.

The B.P was 140/70...Doc says the upper should be 120....I smiled.

How about if he knew sometime in 2016, the up was 180... and my weight back then was 90kg.

Now my weight is 76kg and BP. up 140...all without drugs.

Also I did a research on Google and saw there was a time when 140 was the acceptable rate...it keeps coming down with each succeeding decade. Haba! Let me keep doing the one I understand.

The other questions from the Doctor was just all Nos.

1) Do you drink Alcohol - No. Haven't drank for two year now.

2) Are you on hypertension medication - No.

3) Do you smoke - No.

4) Have you ever been operated - No.

5) Do you use glasses - No.

In 2019, I started to program my daily praises to God.

I got a sheet, categorized all the songs I know off-hand into three:

1) Hymes/longer praise song.

2) Short English songs of praise.

2) My dialect song of praises.

So each morning, during my private praises, I start with a hymn, next a short common praise song in English, then my dialect song of praise, finally I round up with another hymn of longer praise song.

Usually, I sing the opening and ending, twice or thrice...the English short and dialect - 10 times.

During the process, I do my best to focus either on God or the lyrics. Often my mind strays, always I bring it back.

Usually this spiritual exercise takes me about 30mins. With this process, the hymns are used once a week, while the others once a month.

Often I have had to memorize new hymns...the target is to memorize more before the end of 2024, so the hymns can be once in two weeks.

Aside from this, I enjoy praises. When I am in the kitchen, I praise washing, I praise.

Ah! Praising, thanksgiving, gratitude, has kept me stable during seeming dark moments. It makes it easy for me be a recipient of what I choose to manifest.

There are many wealth vehicles out there. Most who made it big, zeroed in on one vehicle, optimized that vehicle, set it up to run with little or no input from them, before moving to the next.

Stop pursuing many things without maximizing one.

You are on a wealth vehicle path, xyz is now trending, you jump enter xyz, you are one o...you have divided your attention, infact both will suffer.

Choose one wealth vehicle path, maximize it, at least let the process become second nature to you, before diving into another.

Some years ago my spouse showed me a video clip on the power of praises.

Part of the video, showed the praises of an individual ascending like sweet incense before God. At a point God asked an Angel, what does that guy want. The Angel replied, he hasn't made a request yet. God asked, what can we do for him...the Angel gave an answer, and that need was filled.

Praises, are powerful. Psychology talks about the benefits of Gratitude, etc.

In Praises, a spiritual person expresses gratitude, a spiritual person is thankful to the ultimate source.

In so, doing on an emotional level, he is aligning his whole soul for wellness. He is opening his spirit to to the infinite.

The above story gives a glimpse of what happens in the spiritual realm.

Praises is a pillar of my spiritual exercises. Regularly, each day, part of my spiritual exercise includes 15mins to Three hours of praises. Depends on my program for that day.

There is a system, I follow which ensures I don't start thinking the song to use, or make a song more dominant than others.

I will talk about that system in the next post.

Have you ever met someone so deluded, who thinks that by hate, resentment, and bitterness, they are dealing with the other person?

The best thing you can do for such a person is to allow him experience the hate, etc till he realizes that by loving, forgiving, etc, he is actually protecting himself.

Moreso among loved ones, the earlier someone intelligently allows such person to fully explore the realm of hate, resentment, bitterness, etc, the better the explorer will be after hitting rock-bottom.

Till such a person hits that rock bottom on his own, premature interjections by others, isn't to his ultimate benefit.

The board of Open AI, owners of ChatGPT etc, sacked the CEO - Sam Altman some days ago.

700 out of 770 employees tendered their resignation letter, because of the sack.

Some hours ago, the board reversed their decision. Called Sam Altman back, as CEO.

To move the staff that way, Sam has influence. Even Steve Jobs didn't have such influence over his staff, when he was sacked.

Influence, isn't same with manipulation. The later is exploitative, the former is selfless.

Emotional Intelligence regards Influence as a social competence, necessary for success. Especially at leadership positions.

What's usually the first and must asked question during an interview:

"Tell us about yourself?"

How you start this question matters a lot. You start it on shaky ground it's likely to affect your rating before the interviewer(s).

It isn't fair, yes I know, but you know: First impression matters a lot.

To nail this question:

1) Research on how best to answer this question.

2) Write down your best answer to this question.

3) Practice this answer aloud severally, till you can fluently express it even under pressure.
