@annalise

Pls, the above explaination while mostly right is wrong on 2 major items.

1. It is possible to re-invest your interest. I do not believe Exobank offers that. A lot of other banks do that.

2. If you choose to reinvest your Interest, the exact compounding described is what happens. Except you get that in one go on the day of your bidding. Why wait for the next 2 weeks and the next 2 weeks to re-bid your interest? With the attendant possibility of loosing your bid? And multiple transaction charges, however minimal?( I.e. The 100 Naira charged per transaction?)

I am sure First Bank and GTB offer this, not sure about other banks.
Thank you. I am with ecobank but I'll ask them if they will do this the way you said. Thanks again.

Its not possible to reinvest the interest immediately as the interest is paid upfront...but the bank may deceive you that they will do that...meaning they will hold your interest for you till the tenkr expires without giving you any interest on your ntb interest....

When you cool down and analyse how NTB works, you will not want bank to reinvest the interest for you, rather you reinvest the interest yourself in the next ntb bidding week....
For example, you invested 6m last week for 1yr and your interest cbn paid you is about 1m, you can quietly reinvest the 1m in next auction day.....and get another 180k interest which you can reinvest yourself in the next ntb auction date and get another 25k which you may reinvest if you made it up to 100k.....that is the power of compound interest..

Pls all these figures are examples, not the real interest you may get..

Hope you understand....reinvest your interest yourself in the next bidding date...
Thank you for taking time to explain it very succinctly. I will follow updates here and keep myself up to date with subsequent auction dates.

Choose primary market. ..

Don't choose any roll over. ..let them pay you the interest after deducting the face value same day
ok, thank you. But I would like to reinvest the interest immediately. How is that possible?

Hello house, I'm a newbie commenter, though I have been observing and learning behind the scenes. I am with ecobank and I just contacted them to send me some forms. What should I do/avoid/watch out for ? I'm starting with about 0.5 and I intend reinvest the upfront interest.

Then get the iPhone 6S plus. It has got a better battery with OIS, or better still pre-order the new iPhone 7. I hope you won't come back running to iPhone after dumping it ooh. The best smartphone experience is with iOS baby. Sweet selfies for the ladies, optimised games for the guys, great office utilities for the business minded, not to mention when you combine it with the iPad Pro and explore more possibilities.
I have heard that if you want to get more juice out of the ios experience, you must combine it with a macbook. I didn't know an ipad pro would serve the same purpose. My next phone might be an i phone but I'm not ready to buy another device with it.

Almost everything is negotiable. Yesterday I renegotiated a standard hosting payment with my provider (an American company) from USD155.40 to USD107.40 Meanwhile USD155.40 is their official charge (it's listed on their website). I simply told them point blank that I can't pay that amount and I want to terminate and migrate to a cheaper provider. They offered me a discount and I took it.
When it comes to negotiation, I always try my luck. I once tried to negotiate my flight fare with Arik at the airport grin.
Did you succeed with the flight fare negotiation?

With or without recession, I plan my income. 70% of my income goes into T bills every month. I earn high enough income to afford a luxurious lifestyle but I choose not to because it's all vanity. I don't need much to be me. I like myself.
I understand the need to stock up for bad days but I think you should treat yourself once in a while.

Nope, I am not modelling after Naij. I included it just in case you wanna say it is too competitive.. What I seem to have understood is that you have to be in the EYES of the people. For instance, OMGVoice.com started in 2015 BUT go see what they have done and achieved as well.

I am taking notes of how the Nigerian ecosystem for these things work, not the ones you have referred me to. Another thing I have noticed is that majority of them tend to relax after reaching their picks. LindaIkeji has been over taken by Nairaland, Naija Loaded does not do more publicity anymore and a host of others. I will be using Naija Loaded as a reference point as well.

I should hit some solid milestone within 1 year.

P.S: Naij is a bloody copy and past portal. What they did was just to spread, gain recognition and relaxed. OMGVoice is currently doing same right now and I am sure after 1 year, they will relax!
You're right, just keep reinventing your content.

Impressive... So how can one build traffic in the news/entertainment niche in present day Nigeria? Naij.com is less than 3 years old. I will love to hear your views
I wouldn't model a blog after naij.com because they rely too much on click baits. Follow this link, read the comments and see what I mean
https://www.naij.com/950510-shocking-lady-died-sleeping-alhaji-monkey-n840000-photo.html
What I would do is either start to mingle with celebrities and politicians aides. Or you employ people who do. Then find your own way to make the news interesting. You should visit top blogs outside Nigeria like Marshable, Huffington post, Perez Hilton, even our very own Sahara Reporters is cool. Get some inspiration, post frequently + heavy social media presence.
WebmastersRe: Can Someone Blog On Entertainment Without Copying And Pasting??? by Annalise(f):
You can. But your blog will just be mediocre. And to be honest, it won't stand the test of time. The average Nigerian is much more exposed and know how to navigate their way around these obvious places you copy from. What will draw traffic to your site? You will have to use click bait links and Nigerians are fast outgrowing that. Another thing that can draw traffic is the comments. But it will be difficult to get intelligible comments when you copy paste.

Linda Ikeji is a copy paster but she started very early and that was how she was able to get a large share of visitor traffic. When she started blogging, many Nigerians were not visiting websites she copied from like dailymail, mediatakeout, etc. In addition to that, she was a model and has very close friends in the Entertainment industry. If you want to be a guru and establish financial security for you and generations after you, you have to be ingenious by reporting on exclusives like Stella Dimoko and LoveBScott. This can only be done if you go out and mingle where celebrities are. You can start by being friends with their friends, make up artists and publicists etc.
Most recent naija bloggers are just in it for adsense. Quote me anywhere, in 3 years, you will be back to ground zero if you don't reinvent yourselves.

Oga loads of people preached same to me when I was leaving UK to come undertake NYSC in 2014 but lies . I've secured two job offers without knowing anybody ( one at a top tech company and another at one of the old generation banks and even waiting on another ). I've also found that my mindset is somewhat different from the average Nigerian graduate. I'm not trying to say many Nigerian graduates aren't at par but the lack of exposure is obvious on how many Nigerian university graduates behave.
What is your field and what did you graduate with?
EducationRe: 7 Reasons Why Studying Abroad Will Help You Land A Job by Annalise(f):
I understand where OP is coming from, although his points are not well explained. Most Nigerians who study in countries where English is not spoken, are in countries like Malaysia and Ukraine. On the world map, these languages are not relevant, so that point is not realistic. If you want to get your money's worth. Go to a country where Mandarin, French, or Dutch dialects are spoken.

Many people who come here to study are unrealistic. If you have a 2:2 and below and you go to an English speaking country for a Post Graduate degree in a non quantitative/analytical field, you will find yourself on square one when you get back to Nigeria. Besides this, most graduate jobs in the UK that are willing to sponsor your tier 2 (work) visa usually ask for 2:1 and above. They also ask for extracurricular and leadership experience like competitive sports or SUG positions, etc. Basically, you need to have your sht together before you start your visa application process.

All the other points about independence are true. Combining school and work is difficult. The recruitment process in the UK for a shop assistant (sales boy/girl) in Marks and Spencer is the same for a banker in Nigeria. If you can get through these hurdles effortlessly, settling down in Nigeria will not be difficult. You can also work full time during holidays and your last four months. With the current exchange rate you should be able to save at least half a million naira. Some people will will use this money to buy iPhone 8. A wise person will come back quietly, keep to themselves and engage in some petty trade till something comes up.

In addition to my last paragraph, if you work in the UK and mix well with the locals, one or two business ideas will pop in to your head from time to time. Not just business ideas but ideas generally. The difference between the Ojukwus, Azikiwe, Awolowo, Oputas, Kutis and our parents is EXPOSURE.

This is another opportunity for "struggling" and "good" guys who can't deal with rejection, to lambast "materialistic" women who rejected their offers to be with "bad" boys. The force behind this cave man ideology is the believe that all guys who are struggling financially are good guys and any man your love interest rejects your offer for is a bad boy (especially if he is richer he must be evil grin. These kinds of men can be found on domestic violence topics and miscellaneous stories relating to crimes of passion, divorce or separation and ritual killings. I call them the Domestic Violence Justifiers Club, nairaland branch.

So says the first sentence of my comment.
However, we must not let sentiments paint the lady innocent of any wrongdoing simply because she is dead.

I was simply seizing on this misfortune to address certain things ladies do that may throw a man over the edge. It's a two-way thing.
Nothing a partner (male or female) does should be able to push you over this so called edge for you to do this! Same thing for women. You will hear of how a man dated a woman for 12 years and left her for a younger person after her 12th abortion. Next thing on the woman's mind, stabbing or acid tins. The moment you notice any consistent dishonesty from your partner, it is your responsibility to walk away. It is your responsibility to ensure you are not played. Stop using style to justify this cave man ideology.

I can see that you still have the pimples itself and this is what I think should be targeted before the spots. Stop using scented soap or cream. A natural remedy is best for spots. I recommend lemon rub before bedtime.
